Let’s be honest, at this price point I’d be shocked to find more than a 2-star rating. I am giving one star because of the condition. This place is pretty rough. I stayed here because it was late and I was exhausted from a long day of driving. Customer service was actually pretty good. The room was $ 50 and the manager upgraded me to a King. I told him that I wanted to view the room before paying and he told me that he would credit my card back immediately if I wasn’t satisfied. I was ok with that because I was so tired and agreed. Positives: + Customer Service — The manager was actually helpful. He gave me a simple option that satisfied my request but also got me to stay. He also called the room 5 minutes later to confirm that I intended to stay. Lastly, he actually asked whether I had AAA and also gave me a larger bed than I asked for on his own. * The location is very convenient to anyone driving north from Columbus towards Cleveland. * I had no problem getting a room. * Small dorm fridge, microwave and tv that actually had a lot of decent stations. * There were no signs of bed bugs before it after spending the night. Honestly, this surprised me. Negatives: — Requested a wake up call and never got one. — There’s no way around it, the motel is run down. The walls were crumbling in the corners, the bed is awful, the design remains in the 1980s and the bathroom was clean but in worse condition. Seriously, learn how to calk and drywall correctly before bothering to paint. — Bathroom… The tub didn’t drain. I ran water for a shower and actually thought it was stuck in bath position because it backed up so badly. So there you go. If you happen to be in the area you will probably want to keep moving on to the next motel unless you need something really cheap in which case you’re going to be rolling the dice a little.

Horrid experience! I was dropped off by a colleague after an event, my wife to join me later. There was an issue with my reservation being booked for the wrong location. The proprietor refused to help me cancel, and then promised that if I checked in it would all be well. He insisted that since I had a reservation, it didn’t really matter which location I went to. Sounded strange but he seemed very sure, and because I had a few hours to kill in the middle of nowhere I figured my options were limited. Well, he was lying. I was charged for two rooms and had to spend an hour on the phone arguing with first one customer rep and then the next until they finally agreed to charge me for only one room. I went to the front desk to ask for ice, since the ice machine was nowhere to be found. He brought me, I am not kidding, a sandwich bag with 6 ice cubes inside. This place is an absolute dump. I had not stayed at a Knights Inn in years, so didn’t realize how shabby the accommodations would be. I would never stay here again. Never. Should I find myself in that same situation today, with the knowledge I know have, I would have walked the mile or two down the road and stayed at one of the other places nearby. Or slept in my car. Or on the ground. This place is the pits.
