Finally found a solid haircut for a fitting price. Having been in the Bay area for two years, I had struggled to find a place to get a haircut — either super expensive shiny beauty salons, with the stingy odor of hair products, or cheap unskilled mostly Asian places struggling with non Asian hair and language. Finally I found something in between of these extremes with Lil’s salon. I’ve been twice and I have been please with the result both times. The place is old but clean and the stylists are from the same decade, but seem to have correctly learned their craft. It does smell neutral and not like hair products. They usually accommodate last minute appointments or walk ins easily.

My first visit here tho passed by many times and wondered if I might get that good cut here that I have been trying to get for years. Should have come long ago. Cora listened and followed through very nicely! Definitely going to be a regular here!

A great place to get you hair done. I have been coming here for a very long time. Lucy is the one I came to to get my hair cut. She does a great job and the way I like it. The inside is clean and they do take care of the place. You should give them a try.

I go to Nadine and she does a great job on my highlights. I am fairly picky so she must be good. She’s also very friendly and I consider her a friend. My mother went here for almost 30 years so that’s how I found out about it; all of the people are very nice. Convenient location and reasonable prices are a plus too!

Well what can I say except I will not even go ini here again. let’s see the blue lady salon should I call it. it is run or owned by a fairly nice woman, but yet there seems to be other stylists there that think they are the owners or act at way. Encountered here a pretty loud short heavy set Asian woman there that seems to be a a chatter box, she talks about other people, talks loud and encountered her being sort of pushy and mean and laughing at her older clients, that was a turn off. no thanks,!! I will not return. You can take your caddy old 1960s-70s salon and leave it for those that choose to want that style! Bad experience in this place, would not send anyone I know there, no thanks!

First off, this is a no frills salon. The place looks like it stepped out of the 1960s in terms of décor. However, there is one modern element: there is a flat screen TV that you can watch in the mirror while your hair is getting done. Expect a quality haircut by a stylist who knows what she is doing and will listen to your needs. All for $ 25. I see women getting color here too but I haven’t had that done yet. The owner does hair here and is a very friendly person.
