In Step Footwear

My experience was similar to another customer that posted a review. I was the only customer in the store in the afternoon and was ready to buy some shoes. The sales guy at the kiosk in the middle of the store didn’t greet me or even acknowledge my presence. I had to approach him to ask if I could try a pair on. He made no effort to talk to me or help me find the right pair and walked away after leaving the shoes I requested (in a different size) on a nearby table. He actually seemed pestered by my presence in the store and kept returning to his computer or phone at his kiosk. Frustrating experience.

I don’t understand why this store doesn’t want my business. I’ve walked in several times to be ignored by the staff. I’ve helped myself to trying on the display shoes and when I’ve finally gotten frustrated enough to seek assistance, I’ve had trouble figuring out who actually works at the store.
If you’re standing around in a t-​shirt, jeans, and looking at your phone or talking to your other coworker in the middle of the store, no one is going to think that you work there.
Upon forcing myself on them during two separate occasions, they didn’t have the shoes I wanted to try on and didn’t offer any alternative for ordering them or finding them elsewhere.
I ended up using Zappos to try on the boots I was interested in and they were delivered to my doorstep literally the next day at 3pm. Wowza!

Excellent place. Didn’t want to buy shoes on line and discovered this shiny new store on Castro Street. Talked to a very helpful person on the phone about what I was looking for — he checked and they had it.
I went there and was happy to see spiffy the store looked and the great selection of good quality shoes. I found the exact pair of Merrell shoes I wanted and found a great pair of Geox black loafers too boot ! (bad pun).
Way better than stores in the malls — I’ll be back, for sure :)

Woot Woot, I just bought this pair of Gabor boots 32.793
and they had it at the discounted price of $ 244 dollars which is nearly a $ 100 less than the price it is retailing for on several other sites.
This store has many high end quality brand shoes. I picked up a pair of Uggs just a few weeks ago and have loved them ever since. Cool thing is true Australian Uggs now come with a hologram to prevent consumers from buying counterfiet. When light flashes on the logo the hologram glows, this is true for all original 2012 shoes. So when you buy them, check on their validity. This is a tip I received from the lady who assisted me in buying both these shoes.
I am going to keep coming back here for the quality brands they carry and for the wonderful discounts they provide. Why wait for an online discount when you can buy it in store.
Forgot to mention that my feet are real tiny size 4 European and the lady was able to find me several shoes to try, they seem to carry wide variety of sizes as part of their inventory.
