This is a small neighborhood liquor store. The selection is decent-it’s no bev mo but it has pretty much everything I’d be interested in drinking. Not a terribly deep selection however. The craft beer section and higher end liquor options are decent, but be prepared for a severe mark up on pricing for those items. Ditto for those little airline type bottles-5.99 for one of those grey goose seems excessive. On the other hand pricing for your mass market brands is pretty good. A half rack of coors or blue moon can be had for less then ten bucks. Didn’t have any issues with the service. The lady behind the counter isn’t into small talk, sure enough, but an all business focus is fine with me. There’s your usual range of local beer store accessories, charcoal, soft drinks, beef jerky, chips, and… ice cream? The two coolers of ice cream novelties struck me as odd, but ya know if I had a dollar for every bizarre thing I’ve discovered in small local bottle shops I’d be a millionaire. So if you value convenience over price on higher quality items, or are a big mass produced beer fan, or if you like ice cream, this is the place.

I went in to buy lottery tickets for my very first time(had to try for the 1.4B, right?). I filled out the form, but the machine didn’t read my numbers. The lady(owner) behind the counter offered no help, stating, «I only put ticket in machine.» I asked if she could at least look at my form to see what I was doing wrong. She said, «I no knowing that» «you go to 7 – 11.» And that is exactly what I did. I took my business to 7 – 11. I thought she would have been more motivated to help me, as the business would collect if they sold me a winning ticket. I also expected that if you’re in the business of running a lottery machine, that you would be expected(by the CA lottery commission) to know what you’re doing. Come to find out the only thing wrong with my ticket is that I neglected to shade in the QP in the Powerball number. I thought that by shading in QP in the top section would also provide me a QP for the Powerball as well. Anyway, her lack of knowledge and overall rudeness has turned me off of visiting this place again.

Great craft beer selection for a smaller store. Staff are very friendly here and the beer is always fresh and seasonal.

Ehhhhh… No thanks. Inflated prices, poor selection and the old lady behind the counter has a less than friendly demeanor. I was in the taco shop next door and needed energy drink(s) and lo and behold there’s a liquor store right next door!!! Well, let’s just say there’s a place that rhymes with Schmevin Eleven in the next lot that you can still hoof it to and make it back for your burrito. Plus it seems that $ 4.89 isn’t close enough to $ 5 to use an atm/credit card. I shan’t darken the doorway again!

This place has those crazy Korean Aloe drinks that I like so I gotta bump a half star up for that. The lady working is pretty nice and they have a modest selection of all your liquor and convenience needs. 3.5 stars

This is an awesome place. Not the biggest selection of liquor, if that’s what you came for, but they have the basics. And they are so nice!

Needed a energy drink fix and didn’t want to deal with the lines at the 7 – 11 nearby because it looked packed. They had the Rockstar flavor that I wanted(no a common flavor) and it was priced the same as 7 – 11’s. The lady at the counter was really nice and for that alone I would go back here.

So yes, a liquor store? More like a convenience store with liquor. Not the most choices in junk food, if you’re into that, but they do have some. And also a convenient location for me. I decided to check out the place before one of the December holidays while I was walking to coffee at Clock Tower right across the way. I thought I was going to go all the way to the 7-Eleven on Whisman, but thought I might as well stop in here. I had good service at the counter, despite the rather scary customer ahead of me in line. Not the cheapest place either, if you’re looking for deals. They didn’t have Coke Zero™, but I was good with regular Coke for the holidays along with a flavor of Doritos™ I had never tried. If I can get over my fear of scary customers ahead of me in line at such establishments, perhaps I’ll go back at some point.
