Great local place to pick apples. Make sure you wear shoes that you don’t care about … it tends to be wet and a little muddy. In addition to pick your own apples, there is a small shop to get jellies and such. If you don’t want to pick your own apples, they are several varieties and bag sizes pre picked. $ 5 for a big bag of apples picked by you. Make sure you get an apple slushie … yum! FYI Cash only

My first time here and I’m VERY glad we decided to take the 30 minute drive to get there. Yeah, it added on another hour to our 4hr drive home, but it was totally worth it. How often do you get to pick your own apples and support a local farmer? They have around 10+ varieties of apples, but make sure you go when they are in season. For a bag of apples was only $ 4.25, plus they had all sorts of jams, jellies, etc… We ended up spending $ 45 on a ton of stuff, glad we brought the shaggin’ wagon for the extra room. The folks working were very nice and helpful. Don’t go thinking this is a jazzed up, citified, thing to do, with wifi and cell service. This is just an honest to goodness, simple apple farm, deep in the Sumter National Forrest. Go there to escape the craziness of the city and to enjoy the fruits of nature and your labor.
