The better of the diners in the area. Wait staff is friendly and hospitable, but not always listening. My order is only right half the time, but I really do like their food and they are fast. Update: I received spoiled chicken salad last week. Left me sick for 2 days. I hate to do this, but I am hesitant to return.

We go here often enough. The hostess is always very friendly and she gives my infant daughter a toddler toy to play with for the duration of the meal. We always get breakfast food, which is always cooked really well. The staff is always friendly and they are responsive to the guests. I highly recommend.

I came in for a late breakfast on a Tuesday. The seating is open, service began promptly. The waitresses worked well together to make sure our needs were met. I had the Monterey Breakfast Wrap– let me say the steak in the wrap was unexpectedly juicy! The scramble itself and the home fries I had on the side were mostly unseasoned. I assume this is to allow the guest to flavor to their taste. It was cost effective– delicious food, and good service. The restrooms and dining room were clean. Paul’s is a charming place worth a visit.

Solid diner. Come here pretty often and I’ve never had a bad experience. The foods good and it’s definitely the best diner in that area.

Food used to be better when We stopped in the past. We were there a few weeks ago and the waitress wouldn’t stop touching my daughters hair, wouldn’t leave her alone or stop complaining how slow it was to us. She also put her fingers on my spoon as she served our soup. Pretty gross. Food has gotten worse when we stopped in every so often.

From the moment we walked in we were greeted with smiles. The service was outstanding and the waiter was very attentive without being intrusive. We got the standard diner burger deluxe and found it to be better than most. The onion rings were superb. We will be stopping by. this diner again… clean bathrooms always make happy customers.

Okay, if you’ve read any of my reviews, you know I love diners. Paul’s is the diner from my high school years, where my friends and I would go after the game, or meet on a Saturday. But it’s not the same as it was. I was disappointed in my meal, the standard diner fare of a gyro. The meat was overcooked and crispy, I think the amount of onions outweighed the amount of meat, and for some reason I can’t explain it seems they just dumped the lettuce right on top after they wrapped it up. It was impossible to eat na civilized way. The waitress was very nice, but I think the manager had a personal interest in her, because no matter where she went in the room he was two steps behind her smiling at her and talking to her. He was obviously distracting her from her work. It was after midnight on a Friday night and it was nobody in the place. That should have been my first clue, but I was blinded by nostalgia. I will not make the mistake of returning.

Our waitress Karen really belongs in a job where she doesn’t have to deal with people. Her approach is creepy and it is so obvious she has to try very hard to be nice. Unfortunately, we heard her talk about us to the cashier. Food was good and decently priced but watch out for rotting lemons in the water. And if your waitress is Karen, request another table.

When a diner is what you want, come here. Haven’t been to this location in some time, but when my mother in law said«lets go to the diner» she suggested another one in the area, but I suggested Paul’s instead. She had never been before. We were seated quickly by a pleasant man, our waiter appeared almost immediately and requested our drink orders. Noticed the«dinner specials» list and had a hard time deciding what I wanted. I asked our server for input between the penne Sicilian or the Eiffel tower meatloaf, telling him I was rather hungry, he suggested the meatloaf(garlic mashed, meatloaf, mushroom gravy and choice of veg, I had the stewed zucchini),. Soups arrived hot and delicious(chicken and cream of spinach). Mother in law had the Greek dinner special(moussaka, spanakopita and Greek salad). Both meals were delicious, hot and filling. My meatloaf was dense, but not dry, tasty! Mashed potato had a hint of garlic, nothing overwhelming at all. Pleasantly surprised to see fresh onion rings on the dish. the stewed zucchini is a rare treat, thick with tomato and onions. I could have eaten a huge bowl of it! Afterwards, empty plates were quickly removed and the server offered desserts. both of us were incredibly full and originally turned down dessert until the server offered to pack up our desserts to take home. We both got the cherry pie. too full to eat it last night, but I’ll have it today for sure. Pauls is a nice relaxed place, food is good, service is on point, don’t feel rushed or bothered, the wait staff does not intrude. the gentleman at the register DID ask how our food was. Overall, really good place to go.

Diner fare that is reasonably priced, BUT the fact that they must have refilled the catchup hundreds of times was disgusting. The rim of the bottle was coated with black scum. See the picture I posted. Yuck.

Number 1 is two eggs, hash browns, toast & a cup of coffee for $ 6. Friendly and astoundingly quick service, our food came in a couple of minutes. Eggs were just right and potatoes were flattop-fried expertly but blandly unseasoned, need a touch of spice. Classic Jersey diner with stools at the counter inside and shiny chrome walls outside, unusually clean and well maintained too, well-dressed staff wears vests & ties, you can bring respectable people to Paul’s diner. If I ever need to treat myself to a slice of cherry pie and a damn fine cup of coffee, this is where I’m coming(apologies to Agent Cooper :-)

Great food at decent prices! Just stay away from the fruit salad it’s terrible! Other than that there’s nothing on their menu that’s not amazing… The waitress we had today Robin, she was great, nice, polite, on top of our order! And didn’t rush is at all! I’ve never had a bad experience here and I’ve been coming here for over 25 years!!!

I will be honest the food is decent, which is what made me return to this diner multiple times(other than convenience); even after there were a few«shady» situations. BEWARE: don’t try ordering from their online menu, they have absolutely no prices listed; then when you show up to pay you get a receipt with nothing itemized to show how much you paid for each thing. I always wondered why it seemed like I was paying around $ 5-$ 10 more when I would order takeout rather than dining in but I never gave it too much thought because I figured that is so obviously illegal to charge more for things since the prices aren’t listed. Oh and here’s a real joke, they advertise on their website that a positive review on Unilocal will get their customers $ 20 worth of food for $ 10… Do you see the irony? Long story short this place is shady business, and convenience brought me back more than anything. Save your money and go elsewhere.

If it were possible for me to give it 0 stars, I would. My boyfriend and I drove by this diner on a late Sunday night and decided to give it a try since it was the only place opened on 46. When we first came in, the lazy manager told us to sit anywhere we wanted. We sat down and waited 5 – 10 minutes to get noticed by the waitress. Even when she stared at us, she just walked right passed us. We asked for two glasses of water and two menu’s… The lousy cranky big waitress did not even bother to acknowledge us… I understand you’re probably have a bad night because you’re working at a shitty diner at 10pm on a Sunday night but there is no need for us to feel so uncomfortable and unwelcomed. After meeting this lady, there should be standards to becoming a waitress and she does not meet them. After another 5 – 10 minutes, we had to call the lousy cranky big waitress again to take our order… Once our food arrived, I realized my honey mustard was missing so I called over the waitress to ask if I could get the honey mustard and she rudely insisted she was pouring coffee at another table and that she would bring the honey mustard after she pours the coffee. It made me feel like I was burdening her and felt so insulted. In the end, we decided to take our food in to go boxes because of the rude and horrendous service. We ended up not tipping her except the busboy. My boyfriend went to the busboy himself to give the tip to him because he was the only kind and helpful one there. Literally minutes after we left, I felt so disgusted that I decided to give them a call and share with them a piece of my mind. Of course, the rude lousy waitress picked up… And I explained to her that we were the couple that just left a few minutes ago and her service was absolutely horrendous and that we will never be back again. And before she could give her two cents, I immediately hung up. This diner should be out of business. Worst diner in the whole world.

Good friendly service. My Easter pot roast special was practically tasteless. My family all had breakfast entrees that were mediocre.
