I have an EcoSmart Metro Electric Scooter that needed to be fixed. The brakes stopped working after a week and a half. I went on the Razor website and found a few authorized dealers. There were none in Manhattan which was a bummer. I had my sister take the scooter to a dealer in Flushing. He said the brakes worked fine. When she brought it back to me… the brakes did not work!!! Then I called an authorized dealer in Brooklyn. Without even looking at the scooter, the lady over the phone told me I would need to drop it off and wait 3 weeks for the parts to come in. Ugh!!! So then I called The Hobby Store. The gentleman who answered told me to bring it in so he could take a look at it. And that is exactly what I did. So glad I brought my scooter here. The man(I forget his name) looked at my scooter within 5 minutes of walking in. He service my scooter by adjusting the brakes. I did not need a new part. He showed me what he did and was so pleasant. Even though this scooter is a pain in the neck to transport as it is super heavy, I would bring it to The Hobby Store even after the warranty expires. So happy I found this place!

Limited selection in a filthy and disorganized space. Not worth the visit.

Very poor selection and customer service. I wanted to buy an xacto knife with my CC but they have a $ 25 minimum for CC purchases! Was told to «go to bank and come back». Save your time and shop elsewhere.

I visited this store for the first time today. I needed Tamiya paint so I went to the Tamiya website and saw that this store was a dealer. I was able to get most of the colors I needed. Stock for Tamiya paint on the floor was kind of low. I didn’t ask if they had more in their stock room because I was in kind of a hurry. I would suggest you call if you’re looking for Tamiya paint just to make sure they have it in stock. The prices were below what Tamiya charges on their website. I took a quick look around and it seems they had a nice selection. I noticed a big slot car race track in the store so if you’re into the hobby, give them a call to see what it’s all about. I’m interested in WWII models and noticed they had a few Tamiya models. I saw some car models as well. They may have other types of models but I didn’t have time to really look around. Check it out.
