Papa John’s Pizza

I have been ordering from Papa John’s since the mid 1990’s when I went to college in Atlanta, GA. I have witnessed as the delivery fee was introduced in certain areas and have continued to increase. I understand $ 1.00 or $ 2.00 to off set gas costs. However, I was about to order a pizza last night and noticed a $ 3.50 delivery fee. I am also a very generous tipper. Therefore, a $ 9.99 pizza with tax, delivery fee, and my tip would have been $ 20.00. I quickly canceled my order. I will be buying ingredients to keep in my home to make a pizza when I want one. Papa John’s has lost an over 20 years long customer.

ALL pizzas here are smaller than promised! The large is more like a small. The extra large is slightly smaller than a normal large. How can ya tell? Because the pizza is always much smaller than the box. In other words, open the box of a Large pie and there are inches on each side that do not touch the box edges. I have called and and complained about the pizza sizes and they tell me they are going by the size of the pan. Well… someone should adjust the pan sizes!
This place is not generous with it’s toppings either. I have to order (and pay extra for) ‘Double’ of the same topping just to get a nice biteful… and it’s not even overly topped!
When the pizza arrives in 35 minutes or less, it’s pretty good pizza. When it’s more like 45 minutes, which is the usual, the pizza is warm at most and the cheese is NOT at all stretchy anymore.
Word of advice… ONLY order here when they have the 50% off promo codes. This is the only time you at least get close to your moneys worth.

I’m not a pizza person but my nephews are. Tried a lot of pizza delivery all the time around the area and there’s always a problem. «turned out most of the a time a burned pizza «.
But I shifted to Papa Johns. It became our fave pizza store. I order online and got good deals. All the time. My pizza arrives on time. Freshly made and tasty. The chicken buffalo or the poppers are tasty as well. The Varied Sauce and the peppers that comes in the box is an awesome idea. The pizzas are Made according to my instructions…
I never had a problem. The delivery person comes on time and friendly. Just a click online. Pizza is on the way.
My nephews loves their pizza. So will be ordering here more.

Complete shit. I have been waiting 2 hours for pizza. The delivery girl has spent all the time trying to find my fuckin house!!! Its not like i live in the middle of the fucking woods. The bitch on the phone has a very heavy accent and is impossible to reason with.

I’m used to Papa John’s, but am not certain as to what arrived tonight. It’s been a while since I’ve ordered so I’m not sure if the recipes have changed or if I got a really bad batch.
Dough was artificial cardboard, but soft in texture. A tasteless mess.
Chicken poppers were tasty and tiny, but that was to be expected.
Delivery guy was nice but I noticed that my dipping sauces were missing as I unpacked my items and noticed him pulling away.
Disgusting. Will never order from this location again.

After the past three orders I placed I don’t think I’ll buy from them again. They got my orders wrong (twice giving me pepperoncini peppers instead of jalapenos, and giving me regular round pizzas when I asked for square cuts), and my last order had a long hair in it (yuck!). It’s a pity since I really liked the Papa John’s garlic sauce and they have their own unique style of pizza that you won’t mistake for anybody else’s, but no thanks.
