Treasure Hunt

Wow! I have consigned furniture and I have purchased consigned furniture. This was an excellent experience. Mike was on the phone when I and my «Wing-​woman» arrived. I liked being able to wander around and think about what I’m looking at without someone hovering over me. We found a couple fabulous rugs. When we went to the desk to talk to Michael, he immediately hung up the phone and give us his total attention. The prices were excellent (I had been looking at retail and knew the value of what was being offered). We enjoyed talking to him and look forward to going back. This shop is definitely a treasure!

Called them out to sell our High End furniture (mostly Ethan Allen) and boy were they all over it! They returned calls, came out to remove everything on time… great communication. They took 3 truck loads and one trailer/​pickup. Here’s the problem, they don’t take inventory as they remove your stuff — said… «will inventory it when we unload it at our warehouse» This made us nervous, but they took the items out of our house so fast — it was hard for us to take our own inventory and write everything down. After they had our stuff and we moved away, it was very hard getting to talk to Mike or Keith, like the other review, it appeared they blocked our number. When we blocked our number to call — someone answered — but said Mike & Keith were not there –multiple times — very frustrating. With over one week of calling and a couple of emails and no returned calls or emails — they wore us down to the point we thought we were out everything. Then Keith finally called back with the «I was sick routine», he gave us a low SOLD Total — which of course we just excepted (prices didn’t seem to match the photo’s of the prices shown below here as posted on Unilocal — by the people who bought some of our stuff) In the end, we did get some money, if you have no other choice but to use a company like this make sure you tag and inventory all your stuff before they pick it up, and be prepared for them to sell the good stuff cheap to their VIP customers (forgot to mention… they brought along someone who seemed to be a customer «previewing our stuff» before they even picked it up and again on the day of pick up) Also, when we sent a spy in the store, they didn’t see any of the best pieces on their showroom floor, the whole experience left us felling ripped of and helpless! Bottom line — Yes we got some money… but so little for such expensive stuff — really not worth the months of aggravation.

This place is a scam! We signed a contract. They seemed professional. However…
They took several expensive pieces of our furniture and placed them in their store. They priced them higher than what our contract stated (first warning). We didn’t ever get an accounting or status of our items. So, we drove over there and discovered all but one of our pieces sold. They never gave us an accounting or any of the proceeds. They won’t take our phone calls and seemingly have now blocked my phone number. Stay away from this place!

Just left mommys nest, so I needed good quality furniture for my first apartment. My girlfriends mom recommended Treasure Hunt.
My gf and I stopped by, and we happened to have her lap dog with us. Regardless, Keith welcomed us all inside, and we made our way through the store. Everything was in wonderful condition, and the store was neatly organized.
I found the leather set I posted in the picture, and Keith wrote the deal up and I paid with my credit card, no issues. My lease was to begin 3 weeks after this visit so I asked if I can pick up the furniture at that time, Keith offered me delivery options (which I decided to reject because I had a truck available for moving in.)
I was told ahead of time that the furniture would be moved to their warehouse where I can then pick it up on move in day. Just as he promised, I called a couple days notice to set arrangements for pick up, and just as we agreed at 10am on the dot the warehouse workers arrived and knew exactly what to help me load into the truck. No confusion, no disputes.
Must be working with great communication at that store, keep it up!

Didn’t buy anything but they actually have quality stuff and quite the variety of styles!
