Spadida

Went to Dimitra for bikini wax and could not have been more pleased. Found this location from Unilocal and was pleased that it was just what others said. Dimitra took all the time I needed to get comfortable was SO reasonably priced. Good location easy to get in and out in my crunched schedule. Looking forward to other services with Dimitra!

Three times in three weeks.
Yes, you read that right.
Three weeks ago today, I wanted a facial. I called three places, and Spadida fit the bill in every way. I headed over there and was met with first class service, a great facial with Dimitra, and left looking smooth and relaxed. While there, I remembered I had an upcoming wedding, and wanted an updo for it. Dimitra suggested I see Natalie, a stylist there, so I went ahead and booked the appointment right then and there.
Two weeks ago, I went in for my updo appointment. Natalie was bright eyed and ready to work at 9am. (I commend alertness before noon as I do not understand it.) I told her my likes and dislikes, and just let her work. My hair was beautiful, imaginative, sturdy, and better than anything I would have asked for. The updo was done at 9am, and It was going strong at 5 am the next day. I actually had to TAKE it down, as it never started to unravel or fall. I am still kicking myself for doing it. I bet I could have slept on it and rocked it for one more day.
Last night, I went in for a haircut with Natalie. She was personable, skilled, and took pride in her work. She explained her game plan for my hair before she started working, wich I appreciated. I got the haircut I wanted, and paid less than what I expected to pay. The haircut/​blowdry/​service was an incredible value.
I pre booked my next haircut. I am fairly certain I have found my one-​stop-​beauty-​shop!

The salon is beautiful inside, especially the private massage room. But the salon’s management is to be desired. I told all of my friends, who live in Des Plaines, not to go there.

I just got a great pedicure from Spadida. I was impressed with the salon’s relaxed and bright atmosphere. It’s very sunny inside the salon which is nice. My appt. was with Natalie and she was super friendly and really took her time – my toes look really, really great. The pedicure and nail station is in its own private room and Natalie turned down the lights a little to create a more relaxed feeling which was great. The room makes you feel kind of far away from the rest of the salon which is nice. The spa is very clean, very relaxing too – maybe another time I’ll check it out =) The pedicure was very long, very thorough and most importantly everything was very clean and sterile. It was a very relaxing experience and I made a return appointment. As a long time patron of a salon in Arlington Heights which has gone down the drain I’m excited to have found a new salon with a good vibe and a whole slew of services. Way to go, Spadida!

Before I moved out of state I used to go here and absolutely loved it. My hair stylist was great, the atmosphere was welcoming and the staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, when I moved back to Chicago I wanted to give this place another shot and was not that happy. When i came back my original hair stylist was no longer there, so I went to another hair stylist. She did a great job but when I went back the second time around, I was not happy at all. She was in such a rush you could hardly tell I got a haircut. The receptionist was not friendly at all. I scheduled another appointment but do not know if I wil be returning.

I have only been to Spadida once. There was only one other patron in the place – it was empty! However its a nice place and the staff is friendly. Just like Tara M. I too got Maggie when I visited Spadida for the first time. I wanted my long hair cut short but didn’t have any ideas beyond that. Maggie was full of suggestions and I ended up with the best haircut of my life! The place isn’t cheap but I think for me it was worth it!

I go here for all of my waxing needs!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Helen and Demetria! A bikini wax is about as uncomfortable as it gets but these ladies are awesome. Even if I moved out of the area I think I would still come back here. I always roll right out of bed and show up in sweats and don’t get a 2^nd look! I love it when there are not a bunch of stuck-​up biatches at the salon :)

Full service spa, massages, mani/​pedis, facials, cut and color… very nice. Staff was ridiculously nice when I finally popped in here. My husband got me a gift certificate for a massage, but I haven’t used it yet… will update when I get to that… today I went to get my hair cut and highlighted. Always nervous going to new places for a cut, even more so for high lights because I haven’t had any in 15 years.
Okay, so I had an appointment with Maggie. Because I’d never been there before, Maggie gave me a tour of the salon and spa first and then we sat down to discuss my hair. Told her I wanted a change, just had a new baby and all and going back to work in a few days, but I was not sure about what kind of high lights to get because I was always told I couldn’t have any blond in my hair, that it would turn brassy. She said that was bull and explained how it works (I’m a novice with that sort of thing). Okay, I told her how I wanted my hair to look and left the color to her.
WOW! My highlights are what I always wanted! Beautiful carmel color on my dark brown hair, not chunky and looking over dyed or terribly fake. She did a fantastic job! The cut is bouncy and full and even my husband liked it. I will definitely go back to Maggie for my next hair appointment, I’m so glad I got her and she’s as good as she is… I hate test driving stylists and this worked out.
