I was recently in the market for a brand new bed, as I was moving. My previous mattress was over 25-years old and my body was fed up! I stopped into the Sleepy’s in Mount Prospect to shop around for my new bed. I stepped in the store and was happily greeted by the salesman, Don Simpson. He was finishing up a transaction with another customer, no problem. I was surprised at the selection that Sleepy’s had! I pretty much narrowed down what I was looking for. I wanted what is known as a «hybrid» mattress.(Cool Gel, Memory Foam, InnerSpring) After a few minutes, Don Simpson came over and gave me a tour of the different types of sleep systems available. I told him what I was looking for and that I wanted to stick with Serta branded mattresses. No problem, he focused on what I wanted and needed as a customer. No pushy sales tactics here! I tried out two of the iSeries Mattresses by Serta and the higher end iComfort by Serta. I gave each mattress a good ten to fifteen minutes to allow my body to tell me what was right. Meanwhile, Don went over the details of each mattress and how it conforms to your body/needs. He definitely knew his stuff! I had done plenty of research beforehand and everything he told me was correct. I finally settled on the iSeries Cachet Super Pillow Top Bed!(also known as iSeries Merit Super Pillow Top) He advised me that this is one of his best sellers and he sleeps on the exact model. I decided to add an adjustable power base,(Sealy Reflexion UP) as I loved the in-store demo. I loved the support and comfort it offers. It is excellent for watching TV or Unilocaling on my MacBook. Don helped me narrow down the right pillow for my needs. I decided on the Sleep Options Cool Gel Memory Foam Pillow.(side sleeper model) The pillows are of excellent quality, uncompress as soon as you lift your head. Lastly, I added a nice mattress protector. This is essential for cleanliness and keeping you’re mattress in warranty. If you soil that mattress, most mattress makers will not honor the warranty. Don gave us an excellent deal, as I purchased during the Memorial Day Sale. I checked out and we set my delivery date for late June. Delivery day finally came and this is where good customer service is essential. I received a call about an hour before the scheduled delivery window from the delivery guys. They advised me they would be there in about an hour. An hour came and went and I received another call. They were unable to find the address and had a bit of trouble speaking english. I tried the best I could to direct them, but it wasn’t working. I called Sleepy’s(the same store) and spoke to Brian, the manager. He assured me it would arrive and it was handled. He was right. Minutes later he calls to advise they are en route and know their way. The guys arrived shortly thereafter and began delivery. They pulled up to the freight elevator entrance on my high-rise apartment building. They were very quick in getting the stuff off the truck. Maybe too quick. I heard them drop the adjustable base a few times, which worried me. I inspected the base and couldn’t find any visible damage. Once they got to my floor, they went to work assembling the frame. They placed it exactly where I wanted it. That was done in a flash, very quick! The base was assembled, plugged in, and tested with no problems. However, they asked me for a philips head screwdriver. I asked maintenance for one, but due to policy, could not provide it. I get back upstairs to tell them I can’t get one and they said all good and left. Now, I’m wondering if something is not assembled completely. I guess by now something would have indicated that. Sleepy’s has a great in-store experience. However, I think delivery needs some work. They should have a moving dolly, to safely transport a $ 700 — 650 pound power base! Also, they should have the correct tools such as a GPS and any tools required for assembly! They delivery guys were very nice, but obviously frustrated having to carry a 650 pound base! I can’t blame them, they DESERVE a dolly with wheels. Nonetheless, I am extremely pleased with my purchase. I’ve never slept better in my whole life. The bed offers amazing comfort and support. The power base is great for watching TV, reading, and surfing on the laptop. If you’re in the mattress market, head to Sleepy’s and ask for Don Simpson! He won’t let you leave disappointed or uncomfortable! I will be back to Sleepy’s for any bedding needs in the future!

Just moving to town and was looking for a place to buy my first mattress. Didnt know what I wanted, so when I went into Sleepys the salesman Brian helped me figure out what style I liked. He was very helpful in explaining the various products. he gave me a sale price on the matress I wanted and gave me nice options for financing. On top of giving me free shipping and offering a price match if I found a better one, he allowed me to put it on layaway with no risk of losing the money I put down. Overall, a great experience. I feel like I made a well informed decision on a good priced bed from a very helpful and friendly salesman. –Kyle
