My Chimney Guy

I usually don’t write on Unilocal,but I’m feeling compelled to WARN you. I also bought a living social voucher – about 6 weeks ago. Since then, I’ve had two «no-​shows» from My Chimney Guy
The first time he said he came to our house; that’s a lie because we were home all day (plus he never even called). The second time, he just didn’t show up.
Just read the review by Tony S and am glad he never showed up because he sounds like a con man. Btw: I think it’s really odd that Becky C has written three reviews on Unilocal and two of them are glowing reviews of two different chimney sweep places.

I had just sold my house and the inspectors said the chimney needs to be fixed (cracked flues)…after getting quotes from 3 companies, as usual I went with the cheapest price…
Peter the salesman assured me that he can fix the chimney for $ 2500.00 and it would pass the inspection… After he took a check from me for the minor stuff he did for $ 867.00 for 3 chimney covers that cost at home depot for $ 150.00 he disappeared from the this planet… I called over 10 times and figured that he don’t want to complete the job so I put a stop payment on my check… I figured either do that or sue him in court… It’s been 5 days and I am still waiting for a phone call from him… The caps cost $ 150 and it was 5 minutes to install them… These guys are a joke… save your money and your stress… I went with the other chimney company…
