I’ve been looking for a good taco joint in the Northwest Suburbs. La Rosita is attached to La Rosita Supermarket. You order at the register and there are about 15 – 20 stools set up at a small counter space. I only had the chance to try 3 tacos, but all 3 were very yummy. I ordered the carne asada, carnitas, and chile relleno. I have to say that so far, this is my favorite taco spot in the burbs with Las Asadas coming in second.

Inside this grocery store, youll find a small kitchen and eating area. Its funny how they were quick to assume me and my cousin spoke Spanish and it was abit difficult to communicate but sometimes its the price to find better food… They made a mistake and gave me corn instead of flour tortilla wrap on my tacos but made good and fixed it right away! I find it hard their carne asada(beef steak) wasn’t as good as I’ve tasted elsewhere… I recommend the Suadero(rose meat), Carnitas(fried pork), Chicharron(pork skin) had a little kick to it and Pollo(chicken) were all very flavorful! Prices were decent for portion!

Out of all the Mexican spots in Mt. Prospect/Arlington Hts area, this hands down is the best tacos around. They cook the tacos right in front of you, so you can tell your food is clean. The tacos are a good size and are stuffed with fillings and toppings. My only complaints about this place is the eating space is tiny and a little dirty looking. The parking lot is tight and you have to be very careful. I also hate being harassed for money on my way in.

I love the steak and El pastor tacos they are big with a lot of meat tender and juicy, but be prepared to wait there is always a line

For the money, you are not going to find a better taco. Big size portions as well, just avoid the lunch and dinner rush! The carnicería is also very well priced!

This place was not good as other people have posted on here. It was dirty too. The prices are very similar to other places.

It’s a grocery store but they have a taqueria inside. Everything I’ve had here is good! I usually get tacos here and always get the asada and the pastor. The al pastor is the best I’ve had in the burbs. The quality of everything is very good. Their red and green salsa’s are good and they even throw in some limes without me asking for them, major points for that. If you’ve ever seen the place or read a Unilocal!review and pondered it, DOIT, it won’t disappoint.

Great Mexican foods here!!! Try the pork taco or torta!!! The most popular one! They r usually very busy during the lunch time and dinner time! Have to late for maybe around 10 mins during their busiest time but it is worth!!! And the best thing is the Price!!! Cheap and valuable! 8 dollars is good enough for two of us;) cuz we usually order one torta and two tacos. Maybe 5 – 6 dollars per person n u will be full!

I’ve been having la rosita tacos since I was a kid(melrose pk). Good stuff no matter which one you hit up. I took a friend to the Mt prospect location for lunch about two years ago and now half of my coworkers go there at least once a week.

Great place for tacos and to pick up some groceries on your lunch break. I had their carne asada tacos, which where full of meat and with the traditional onion and cilantro on top, and a wedge of lime. Service was fast and friendly and the tacos are cheap! Also picked up some groceries. They have a small selection of mexican cookies, sweets and some basic staples(I did not check out the meat counter). You can also find some latin(but not mexican) products like Harina Pan, and since I like to cook arepas it came really handy.

This rating is for the taco stand in the store. I got a steak burrito here several times and WOW, one of the best burritos I’ve had in a while. I would recommend it to anyone.

Hit this place up a few months ago, and it is my favorite taco place now. We go every Friday for lunch now. There’s a reason why you’re waiting in line for your food. It’s delicious! El Pastor tacos are amazing.

by far the best tasting taco available. Its very ethnic and has very blue collar patrons. sometimes that I go I have not sat with the people I came with because of standing and sometimes only one stool opens at a time. not somewhere that I would go on a date or wanting to do something active afterwards. The tacos are so good and inexpensive I eat until it hurts. Great horchata as well!

Keep coming back here for the steak tacos. Still the best imo. This joint has become so popular that they extended their shanty seating area. I went during peak lunch hours and there still wasn’t enough seating. I can’t attest for any of their other food because it’s all about the asada tacos here.

I’ve been to lots and lots of joints across North America and this is one of the BEST in terms of authentic Mexican blue collar food! Try everything on the menu and you still won’t spend 50 bucks! In a grocery store to boot!

This is my local grocery store to buy some Mexican food products I can’t really find at a normal grocery store. It is small but always has what I need. I went here on a Sunday and it smelled so good I had to get some carnitas and tortillas to eat for lunch — it was pretty good but a little dry(I think I’m just not so good at picking the right pieces).

Unilocaling about the taco stand in back only… it’s damn good. The three taco’s to get here are lomo(ribeye), chicharron(pork rind), or chile relleno(stuffed pepper) Nothing more to say but wow.

This grocery store is OKAY. It’s small. Real small. Their meat selection is pretty big(well mainly it’s a carniceria) but kind of upset about the vegetables. They’re not as fresh as I’d want them to be. There are other Hispanic grocery stores that are nearby that are a lot better. But I’ll be honest and say I DON’T EVENGOTOTHEGROCERYSTORE! I go for the tacos! They’re like $ 1.25 each! It’s a small little area in the back that cooks them. Don’t expect a sit down area unless you want to sit on a bar stool! They have tortas there and a few other items but I only go there for their tacos. I’ve had the chicharon(pig skin), lengua(tongue), and the carne(steak) tacos and I dream about them often. They serve it with their hot sauce, a wedge of lime, and a little onion and cilantro above it. They seriously pack their tacos with a lot of meat. I eat two and I get full and I’m a big eater. On good days I can have three. =)
