She accused me of slander after my review. Yes, I was there. I wrote my review and didn’t publish it until a few months later. Is that a crime? Does that mean my critique is inaccurate? No. Want to sue me for a bad review? Good luck with that!
Talar suggested I take bamboo vitamins to make my hair and eyelashes grow, which were according to her, too short. So yes, I was there.
I was at the salon before the holidays and have the receipt to prove it. Way to handle a review that’s not glowing, by making false accusations. At least I know how to speak and write English.
And how could Talar be a professional hairstylist for 15 years when she’s in her 20s? I guess she started as an adolescent/​teen. And I’m the one lying? Sure.
I am not the only one who said the prices were too high. This isn’t a top salon, it’s a rented room in a multi-​use «salon.» Most people go to these because they want to avoid the overpriced salon and not pay for the hype.

Got my balayage done there today and it turned out beautiful. Talar’s mom cut my hair (sorry I’m horrible with remembering names) and colored it — and I’m absolutely in love with it! Will be definitely coming back.

We all know the struggle of finding the perfect stylist. Talar not only gives me wonderful advice on caring for my hair, but is knowledgable– with quality product. I go to her with any request and she finds a way to make it happen! Never been more thrilled to take a trip to the salon, her comfy studio is in a prime location and she’s such a joy to be around! Recommend her for everything, to everyone.

Great place!!! The hairstylist Taylor is very welcoming and does an amazing job! She has great skills! The place is in a salon suite that is always clean… I’m always impressed with the outcome! I recommended her to my sister n law for her wedding and she did an amazing job! Awesome place don’t go anywhere else prices are reasonable and you feel like a million bucks when she’s done! I usually get my hair cut once a year and wanted to try a different stylist. I came across Talar’s business and made an appointment with her based on the Unilocal reviews. She is efficient and excellent. I love my new haircut with the layers and face frame. I was in and out of there within 35 minutes plus she styled my hair with such volume. Her prices are reasonable and I love the ease of booking an appointment online. I highly recommend her :)

I came to Hair Fiction not realizing it was a salon suite (never even heard of them!) but it was nice. The space was clean and quiet. I got an all over color & trim to go over my previously worn out bronze-​like ombré. I asked for a basic dark brown, layers, face frame with texture. Talar gave me exactly what I asked for and like a previous Unilocal reviewer said, «fast and flawless.» Fair pricing. I will definitely recommend her to friends and be back myself.

Simply put: having Talar cut your hair is like spending 45 minutes with your very best friend. She’s incredibly personable & inviting and clearly wants you to leave a happy & satisfied client.

She is amazing! Extremely friendly and personable and really there to help you with your hair! I had dried out blonde hair and she revamped it into a gorgeous dark brown. The hair color brand she uses is amazing and especially the shampoo and conditioner she recommended to me, my hair is sooo soft!!! I have my upcoming appointment set already. She waxed my eyebrows as well and she did an amazing job, it was painless. Definitely recommend hair for any of your hair needs!!!

I read great things about Talar and her salon Hair Fiction and I figured I’d get a hair cut. She was so nice, fast but thorough and gave me exactly the cut I asked for. I am now here for my second appointment and this time it’s for color. I’ll update my review when we are done it I am certain it will be awesome. Reasonable pricing for the service received, make your appointment, you will be very happy you did.

As good as it gets? Even better! Talar is the perfectionist you want working on your hair, from the intricate details to the big picture in the long run. She is very knowledgeable with products and knows where to lead you when it comes to oily hair problems or hip and happening hairstyles that are worth giving a shot. She’s a gem, so get to her fast and you’ll be happy you did! I went in for a cut and color extensions and they were so well worth it, Talar knew exactly what I’d like when I had zero idea. A hairdresser who listens to what you want and provides feedback to what would look good based on your skintone, shape of your face, etc. Talar is hands on, passionate about what she does and does it with great pride. You will NOT be disappointed! !! Promise!

I went to Talar with dark, frizzy, coarse, poorly «highlighted» hair that I went twice to a fancy salon on Oak Street to get, and I came out with beautiful, soft blonde hair that my friends couldn’t believe WASN’T weave. I had to let them pull on it so they believed that it was attached to my head! She is an absolutely brilliant colorist, and has given me the best two haircuts of my life. She is super conscientious and puts in extra work to make sure you come out looking awesome. When we did my balayage, we did the whole process, and once it was done, she HERSELF wanted more blonde and decided to take the time out of HER day to dry it and do the process all over again. She was totally right — I loved it at first, but when she added those few pieces, it came out absolutely beautiful, I seriously had tears in my eyes!
Nothing except great things to say here. Not only is Talar an AMAZING stylist, she is also SO personable, reasonably priced, and you’ll never wanna go anywhere else.

Talar as a technician works super fast and flawless. On top she has a great personality. It seems she put her charisma in everything she does with hair. I found the salon to be very clean and I felt like home. I was able to get an appointment within few hours. And I was out in 30 min with absolutely stunning hairstyle. I know I will be back

Great place. Great overall experience.
It is not like a regular salon where you are treated as an average customer. At this place you will receive a very unique feelings as it is a small place with one chair and one sink and a bunch of good hair products. You will be the only one customer in a room with a technician while your appointment. Great for people who wear wigs and might feel uncomfortable in a regular salon full of strangers and people who love to judge.
Talar is a great girl. She is a good listener. She will talk to you first in order to fully understand what exactly you are looking for and then she will do her best to make you feel and look like a queen.

I haven’t had my hair cut or touched by a stylist in about 4 years. I was traumatized by a long hair to very short hair cut done by a cheap hair salon. So when my hair length reached my butt, and I zoomed through a large bottle of conditioner in a few weeks, I knew I needed to help my hair out. I was skeptical, read through tons of reviews and was willing to pay for a trustworthy stylist. I’m so glad I found Talar!
She is a very sweet person, and we hit it off right away. She’s kind, has great insight into hair suggestions and clearly knows her stuff. Talar gave me suggestions based on what I wanted, in a real world sense. She also realized how eventful my day was, so she curled and teased my hair free of cost in celebration! She made me very relaxed, and I hardly thought about the hair I was getting cut off.
You know when you find a service or person that’s trustworthy and consistent, you stick with it. And that’s exactly what I plan to do with Talar! You won’t be disappointed.

Hair Fiction is amazing! I was travelling and stopped in to get a cut from Talar during my travels. The cut was amazing! In fact she did a way better job than my normal stylist in my home city. I look and feel like a million bucks!

Just got out of my first hair appointment with Talar. I had been going to an amazing stylist in the city — and was in need of a good hair cut and color.
I opted to go to Hair Fiction because it’s close by my house, I love the online booking system /​reminders (thank you!!!).
Was a little apprehensive because my regular girl is someone who I had been going to for over five years.
Talar is such a beauty, inside & out. She was patient with my ideas, had great input and was super professional. I love love my new cut (I had a lot of split ends). In the process she gave a whole lot of tips.
Talar is in her own hair studio in a shared «mall» where there are other stylists — so I’m very particular about supporting women owned businesses. Talar Sazian did a fantastic job! I came in to donate my hair for Locks of Love and she put me at ease and was friendly. I immediately felt comfortable with my hair in her hand! She gave me & my friend a hug on the way out! She made an effort to make this experience memorable! If I donate again, I’ll surely come here without a second thought!
