The owners and instructors at Pure Barre make it an incredible experience to work out here! I was impressed from the start by the feeling of warmth and enthusiasm when I walk into the studio. Everyone greets me by name! –and that’s something that truly sets each Pure Barre studio apart; it makes you feel like more than a customer – you’re a part of such a positive community! Not to mention the workout is next-level… I saw definition in my ab muscles I’d never seen before within a couple weeks of first starting classes. Getting ready for my upcoming wedding and honeymoon like a boss at Pure Barre!

Pure Barre is the best all-body workout I’ve found in Chs. In 55 minutes, you somehow work every inch of your body in a fun, positive and welcoming atmosphere. I had a tennis injury last year, and was nervous about coming to class, but all the instructors took the time to show me modifications. It’s obvious they all go through a lot of training… highly recommend to any level.

Pure Barre offers an amazing workout that is low-impact and absolutely ass-kicking. I have only recently started, but have since been aiming to go nearly every day(it’s a safe enough routine to do daily!) and already notice changes in my flexibility and strength. I love the emphasis that is placed on having a strong, lean body, rather than just a slim body for the sake of being slim.(Side note: Go out of your way to take a class with Kendra or Martha Burton! They are super helpful, particularly if you are new to Pure Barre and have no idea if you are doing some of the exercises correctly or not. This being said, all of instructors are wonderful– I haven’t had one I didn’t like — but these two gals seem to have been able to word some in a way that made more sense to me, personally) This studio is a little smaller than the downtown location, with just a slightly more awkward setup in that your shoes go off first, then you walk across the studio to put all your stuff in the back(the downtown location has all that in an area that doesnt require that you cross the studio). I actually quite liked that it was a little smaller than the downtown location, as it made the environment feel just a little less intimidating. PLUS there is TONS more free parking here than the downtown location(where you must duel with Leaf restaurant and UPS patrons for the last spot in their small parking lot) and it’s right next door to Whole Foods/a block or two away from Trader Joe’s, making it convenient to get grocery shopping done right after class.

Pure Barre is a franchise ballet barre studio. The instructors are great and talk you through the entire class. You will not get tired of this upbeat workout with great music. The 55 minute class flies by. From their website: The Pure Barre workout utilizes the ballet barre to perform small isometric movements set to motivating music. The workout targets the abs, hips, thighs, back of the arm, and seat.

After completing two months of a Pure Barre challenge(there was a killer monthly special), I can attest that barre classes are the hottest thing when it comes to fitness classes. Most people assume that barre classes are a form of ballet, but that’s not the case. The Pure Barre workout«utilizes the ballet barre to perform small isometric movements set to motivating music.» The workout targets the abs, hips, thighs, back of the arm, and seat. Each area is worked until fatigued and then stretched. The monthly rate is too high for my budget($ 175 – 195), but specials are constantly popping up on Facebook, twitter, or through their monthly newsletter. Give them a call and they’ll probably let you take your first class free. Otherwise, the individual class rate is $ 23. The studio is very sleek and has good a vibe. All the instructors are full of energy, as expected for such an intense class. You’ll leave impressed with yourself… or ready for a nap. Check it out!
