I really liked the food. I ordered the Tequila-Lime chicken platter. It was really good and the chicken was seasoned really well. I feel like there should have been more rice and beans. But for the price it wasn’t bad. I think I spent around $ 9 on something that filled me up. I recommend everyone try it. I will go back to try other menu items. I did suggest that he offer black beans as an option instead of refried beans but its my personal preference.

I’ve seen this truck a few times now and being the taco fanatic I am, I decided to see what they had to offer. Right off the bat I was dubious upon seeing that they misspelled«Asada» as «Azada». Seeing that they’re cooks and not spelling bee contestants I let it slide and ordered a Chicken Asada Taco and an Al Pastor Taco. He said it would be 5 to 10 minutes(even though there wasn’t anybody ahead of me), which seems like a long time for a food truck taco, but whatever; maybe it’s crazy good and takes time to get just right. While I waited I listened to the Mexican music coming from the little PA speaker mounted to the side of the trailer(or at least what I could hear over the stupidly loud generator in the van hooked to the trailer). I speak enough Spanish to know that the music wasn’t very appropriate for public use. If I happened to be a parent with a Spanish speaking kid, I’d probably have had a few words of my own for the employees. It did, indeed take 10 minutes and he asked if I wanted hot sauce, which of course, I did. Opening the tacos revealed two nearly identical tacos. So similar that I couldn’t tell which was which so I pulled a chunk of meat from each to identify what was what. The result was inconclusive. They tasted the same. It was a good taste, but indistinguishable. Meh. Whatever. Let’s do this. Taco 1 was pretty good if perhaps a little dry, but plenty tasty enough. The Hot Sauce was good with some kick, but I couldn’t readily identify it as a known brand. Taco 2 was(as stated), identical until the third bite when some pineapple revealed itself. A-Ha! This is the Al Pastor. So, while these tacos weren’t Latin kitchen wizardry, they were pretty good for the price. Will I come back for them? Probably not. Both Los Palominos and Los Aztecas have better tacos(although Palominos is like my second home, Aztecas’ Tacos Al Pastor are AMAZING). So, if YOU’RE buying, give me a call and I’ll be happy to eat some Los Jalapeños with you. Almost forgot to add that I asked if they plan on opening a traditional brick and mortar restaurant. They said that they don’t really plan on it, but if they do, it will be in Midland.
