Based on the name, for whatever reason, I didn’t expect it to be a traditional Chinese place inside. I was pretty glad it is. Started with the chulicious sandwich. Flakier sesame bun than expected, thinner meat. Kinda wish I had foregone. But the mooshu beef was delicious. Scrumptious. Not soggy. Good cabbage. Perfect pancakes that didn’t disintegrate. Then the dude got wu-shi ribs. Omnom. I’m not a ribs person, but the owner/manager was adorable and told me from the minute she brought out the dish that he needed to share. She was right. Lovely.

What a nice experience! It’s the beginning of the summer break. We are traveling for sight seeing. Originally my older kid opposed the idea of eating at a Chinese restaurant because that is what we eat often back in LA! However since we were hungry, and there seemed not too many choices. Beside, Unilocal rating is high. First the tea tasted pretty good. I think it’s Oo-long tea. Both of my kids wanted it, quite amazing. Food came quickly. We ordered wanton soup, chicken and eggplant cassoulet, fatty pork with preserved vegetable, BBQ pork noodle, and mapo tofu. Every dish tasted good. Chicken and eggplant cassoulet was top notch with a right amount of spiciness. The kids didn’t try it because they heard spicy. But the other dishes were enough to keep them happy, especially the noodle dish, which they couldn’t stop eating! LOL. The owner, I assume who is Mrs. Chu came to check on us multiple times to make sure everything was alright. I appreciated that. When we walked out the restaurant, we were full and very content.

This place is a hidden gem! This little place sits in a small strip mall and the food is awesome! They make everything fresh with a good amount of spice. I highly recommend you try it.

Welcome to authentic Chinese food available close to home with out the hassle of driving over the bridge and finding parking in China town. My husband and I live right in Mount Laurel and rode our bikes here on one lazy Sunday.(No bike racks, locked them on one of the benches). We loved the little bowl of peanuts they gave us to much on as starter and the complimentary tea. We got the Crispy Hunan fish and the Chinese broccoli. We absolutely devoured it. The fish was nicely crispy on the outside and so soft and tender on the inside. We asked for an extra bowl of rice, which they gave to us at no charge! Can’t wait to return to try their other selections.

Best Chinese food restaurant I have ever been to. I have been to NYC, San Francisco, and Philadelphia and no one uses better ingredients or has better flavors. This is not your typical Chinese restaurant, they take their time making each dish, so you won’t be dining and dashing in 20 minutes. But, the food is worth the extra 10 minutes.

I don’t know how I found this place, but I did! CHUlicious is in the middle of no where. I came here with a friend from China and we ordered the crystal wontons and the shredded pork rice dish. They are so cheap and delicious. You can order those two and be full for one person. Since I was sharing with my friend, we ordered the sweet and sour fish(~$ 25) and the fish was huge! It was fried and the fish had been cooked whole(the head and tail were still intact). It was sweet and crispy. If I were hungry, I would have appreciated it more and finished the dish but we couldn’t even finish half of it. A lot of people think that there’s better Chinese food in Chinatown in Philadelphia, but that’s a misconception. You can’t find CHUlicious in Chinatown– it’s so much better than a lot of the Chinese restaurants there. I will be coming back here again very soon!

The food is excellent. The menu is traditional Chinese and the dishes are authentic. The House Wonton is made with thin Wonton noodles, not the thick ones all the other restaurants around here use to fill up the bowl. And served with a traditional Chinese spoon. My new«go to» Chinese restaurant in the area. The last one I remember was Lem’s Tea House on Rt 70 in Cherry Hill. They’ve been gone for a while. I’m so happy to find a replacement. Tonight I got the FFOD, Which was a whole Branzini, poached in hot sesame oil. Excellent. Prepared with the head attached, of course. And sizzling. I regret not taking the sauce home. The fish was gone! I grew up in a traditional Chinese American household. Our meals were identical. I could bring my 97 year old father here without any problems.

Ate here the other night with my wife. She wasn’t in the mood of cooking. This place came highly recommended from a friend. I had the beef stew with tendon, chuilicuos hamburger, salt baked chicken, and the Xiao Long Bao. We ordered a little too much for the two of us, which was fine because I was more than willing to eat it again as leftovers for lunch the next day. Food was very good! Service was up to par as well. The restaurant itself was welcoming and more importantly clean. I’ve been to some Chinese places in the area that didn’t seem too sanitary. Overall, it was a great experience and you can’t go wrong with this place. Give it a shot.

Our usual lunch spot was unexpectedly closed, so we decided to go somewhere else. I’m glad we chose this place. Great food with good flavors. The only downside is that the lighting inside is a little dim, but it doesn’t matter all that much.

Very unusual but tasty menu! Entrees were well prepared with a nice blend of spices. Their lunch menu is varied-also has allot of vegetarian choices. The wonton and hot and sour soups were a little«bland” – they needed a little«Uumph». But I would definitely return again as this restaurant has a different twist on the usual Chinese fare.

Thank you Chulicious for offering such great selections of Taiwanese fare. You took me back to when a was a little girl & when I would share in some minced pork and rice with my Grandfather in Taiwan. Yep, like a damn delicious time machine. Also ordered soup dumplings and crystal wonton(wonton in chili oil). Everything was nicely prepared and they can add spice to your liking. The dumpling skins are thin like I like them although a little low on the amount of actual soup in the soup dumplings and the sauces although are not thick or overly sweet they do lean more towards sweet and savory than spicy. Luckily I am craaaaazy about my spice Levels and travel with my own home made hot chili oil. You can always add spice but not take it away. I would have given 3.5 stars and rounded up but due to the very helpful and pleasant service it is 4 stars all the way. Overall a nice and inviting space in a little Jersey strip center making use of authentic asian ingredients. Big thanks to my server who without prompting informed me about the elavated caffeine level in the taiwanese iced tea. I’m extremely sensitive to caffeine so it was nice to get the heads up.

I’m not that experienced with Taiwanese cuisine so I saw this as a great opportunity to expand my palette. And although the food was not terrible, I can’t say that I have a «taste» for Taiwanese food just yet. Many of the dishes we ordered had a similar taste profile and the prices are a bit steep. We started off with the crystal wontons and the Dan Dan noodles. The wontons were pretty good – they were meaty and had good texture and the spicy soy/vinegar they were swimming in packed a good flavor punch. The Dan Dan noodles were«eh» at best; the noodle texture was great but the sauce was a bit too sweet and sour for me. For our main courses we ordered salt baked chicken, spicy intestines stew, Hunan crispy fish, and sautéed green beans. The chicken was probably my favorite – it looked and tasted like large popcorn chicken. The fish was huge and looked impressive, but really there wasn’t that much flavor. The intestines stew is a quite interesting(and exotic) dish that consists of pork intestines and pork blood, stewed with pickled cabbage and tofu in a spicy, chili oil broth. I’ve never had it before but my brother who’s had it elsewhere said its generally a pretty good dish, but he’s never seen it cooked with tofu like they do at CHUlicious. It’s a bit gamey and oily but if you like pork blood or intestines then you might like this. The string beans were just typical Asian long beans sautéed with garlic. They were good but for $ 14.95 it was probably one of the priciest plate of beans I’ve ever eaten! Overall the place is OK. The décor is cute(and shockingly red) and the service is friendly. Not sure yet if I’ll be back.

I fell in love with CHUlicious the first time their food touched my lips. Now I am not qualified to explain the difference between Taiwanese and Chinese cuisine but I can tell you the dishes coming out of that kitchen are some of the best Asian inspired dishes around. I have dined at some really decent Asian cuisine establishments in the area but CHUlicious is hands down one of my top two favorites. I have not been disappointed with the service or food since I started dining there. Knock on wood! You will find the typical chinese establishments dishes at Chulicious like fried rice, dumplings, egg rolls, and my two favorites here, the duck and General Tso’s chicken. The skin on the duck is cooked to the perfect light crispy texture on the outside, and the meat is a sweet, savory, and juicy. Amazing! The General Tso’s chicken is also another All prepared fresh and with great flavor. Just when you thing those dishes are good the Wu-Shi ribs are an example of Chulicious putting their own spin on some of your classic favorites. In addition to spicing up the classics, Chulicious has a bunch of appetizers and entrée’s that are called Chu-specials, their favorites. The Chulicious sandwich is served with seasoned sliced beef on a crispy bun with cilantro, scallion, and hoisin sauce. Another favorite is the Chulicious chicken. Do not be alarmed by the spicy items on the menu. You can order to suit your tongues level of heat. As someone stated the décor is what you can expect for a small establishment inside a strip mall but the warm ambiance is a product of the friendly staff led by the hostess/manager and the great tasting dishes is what makes this place a favorite in my book. I am fortunate live such a short distance from the restaurant. I think we need a UYE here.

Authentic Taiwanese restaurant with excellent service and quality food. Prices are reasonable for the classy ambiance, location, and quality ingredients. We had dinner but the lunch menu seems cheaper with their lunch specials. * Dan Dan noodles was delicious and rivals Han Dynasty. * Beef brisket casserole was tasty * Sauteed watercress was fresh and excellent * MUSTTRY is the Taiwanese iced tea Every Chinese restaurant in Philly’s Chinatown should learn how to cook like CHUlicious. Of course, Dim Sum Garden consistently has the best soup dumplings in PA/NJ/NY/DE/MD.

Me & a girlfriend met up here for dinner. We got these delicious dumplings for the app(forgot what it was called, it was smothered in soy sauce and other sauces). Not too crazy about the entrées: chowfun and sweet & sour chicken. We got the typical stuff but they weren’t that great. Should have tried their specialties instead. I enjoyed the 10% discount by checking in here.

Great authentic restaurant with signature menu and Byob option. Basil chicken is must try. Hot and sour seafood soup is different from any other Asian soup we have ever tried, recommended too.

My boyfriend and I planned to grab lunch here after watching a movie(AMC Marlton 84 min. away!). We came during the lunch special and ordered garlic beef w/rice + egg drop soup, dan dan noodles and a chulicious sandwich. If I were to rate the food alone, it would be a 3⁄5. The food was very lackluster. I tried the chulicious sandwich which was highly recommended but it was dry and needed some type of sauce. The garlic beef was more like ginger beef, we barely touched it! The rice came out dry and seemed old. The highlights would be the dan dan noodles, egg drop soup and the free Taiwanese iced tea you get when checking in. Also, the appetizer given with the sweet & sour sauce. My boyfriend was still snacking on those after the entrees came out. I LOVED the iced tea, it had just the right amount of sweetness, I was contemplating on ordering another! Other than those dishes, overall I felt underwhelmed when leaving. I would come here again because I think we definitely just ordered the wrong things(& for the iced tea). The ambience of the place was very nice and service was excellent!

This place took a trek to find. It’s like another 15 min from Cherry Hill, NJ. I came from King of Prussia so it took a good 1.5 hours. I went with my family for lunch on Saturday. We got the chulicious bun and some buns filled with noodle/scallions. The chulicious bun would be awesome if they just gave more meat. I wouldn’t recommend the apps. For our main dishes we got the beef tendon and bamboo w chicken. The dishes were not that flavorful but cooked pretty well, pretty authentic. The restaurant is in a small shopping center and isn’t really close to anything. If you live in south jersey I’d recommend going but if you live in philly it is pretty out of your way.

Came here for Saturday lunch and we were thoroughly satisfied and happy with this place. Modern décor, clean restrooms, good service & friendly staff(except one lady — she was not very friendly). Don’t forget to check in to get your free Taiwanese iced tea! It’s strong but sweetened just right. Hubby totally felt the caffeine buzz. Based on some of the reviews on what to order, we chose: Cucumber in chili oil — you must order this dish! Cold, refreshing and perfectly seasoned. It was not spicy… to me anyway. Crystal wontons — came out piping hot in a chili soy sauce. Was tasty but I definitely love Din Tai Fung’s version better. It wasn’t spicy, but I think it’s because my baby in my belly is loving spicy foods and I’m not feeling that hot kick. Hehe Salt baked chicken — typical Taiwanese popcorn chicken. It has that five spice flavor that I don’t necessarily care for. It was tasty and crispy. It’s a little expensive at $ 15. Taiwanese bed noodle soup — came out screaming hot which is what we love about noodle soups! Tasty beef, light and flavorful broth, chewy noodles, and tons of yu choy(asian greens). Yum! Dan Dan noodles — the flavors were unique and on point. I don’t think I’ve ever had Dan Dan noodles before since I tend to stay away from peanut sauce type dishes. Noodles were tossed in a thick sauce and served with bok choy. Yummy! We will definitely come back when we have a craving for Taiwanese food!
