Not my kind of place. Ordered the crab cakes with coleslaw and baked potato. Crab cakes were salty, very salty. They also had a weird texture. As if they were mixed with extra flour. I ate them, but they were disgusting. Coleslaw was dry and lacking flavor. Potato was a bit under cooked. My husband, on the other hand, loved his omelet. He said it was the best he’s had in a while.

The service was horrendous, food was wilted and just not good. Waitress didn’t know the difference between sugar and caffeine. Not good.

The food is nothing to write home about, this is your typical diner fare The MOJO is one of the landmarks in Mount Joy and that place you can always rely on for those nights where you aren’t interested in cooking or looking for a quick cheap meal with awesome portions Service is always super quick, lots of variety & specials Staff is very friendly & Nick is a fantastic guy

Favorite diner I’ve ever been to. I’ve gone over 20 times. The food is awesome, low prices, fast service, and really easy to split the check(for the cheap college students). I highly recommend this place for anyone.

A 24⁄7 diner that serves pretty decent food at exceptionally good prices. Don’t come to this place expecting anything other than a diner re: décor, menu options, etc. But you should expect excellent service, a smaller-than-average bill, and a full stomach when you’re done. I had the grilled meatloaf and it was delicious. It was so much food I couldn’t even finish. There were so many things to choose from on the menu, it took longer than it normally does to decide just what to eat. The food came out quickly once we finally figured out what we wanted. The server was super nice and very attentive. She always had a smile on her face and made sure the drinks were filled and we had everything we needed. The owner/manager also came around to talk with the various tables to make sure everything was OK. The crowd in the restaurant(about 5pm on a Friday night) was mostly locals and mostly elderly. I’m not from the area, but I got the sense that many of the«older» locals eat there quite a bit, or perhaps there was an early bird special that night! :-) I would definitely eat here again if I’m passing through the area. Based on how delicious their dinner fare was, I would love to try their breakfast menu the next time I’m here.

I especially like their sausage gravy over biscuits with home fries. I have never been disappointed with anything I’ve ordered whether it be breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Waitresses always pleasant and helpful.

Nick and the Mount Joy Family Restaurant are staples in this area. In fact, I can’t imagine the Mount Joy restaurant scene without it. The menu is large, the choices are local fare, and the service is always great!

We ate here once and once was enough. The tables in the restaurant are cramped together to fit in as many tables as possible, which leave the customer sitting on top of another table. The restaurant is dirty, and the food was greasy and disgusting. The local soccer teams were doing a fundraiser there and we would have loved to support them, but we certainly were not going to eat there. Seriously, I would rather eat dirt than eat at the MJ Family Restaurant.

I have been here for breakfast, but never any other time. That being said, this is by far the best sit down breakfast in town. Big portions, a friendly wait staff, and quick service is what earns this place 5 stars. The bottomless mug of coffee doesn’t hurt either!

Best bacon cheddar fries in the world. Good little diner if you know what to get. Patty melt is great. Salads are very large. Fries are delicious. Other items like fish and soups are standard diner fare.

Three stars is probably generous. The food is standard diner fare priced slightly higher than you might expect. It’s prepared quickly, browned on the outside and underdone on the inside. It’s decent but in county filled with diners the food here is below average. The service was excellent. Frighteningly fast and pleasant. The place seemed clean and atmosphere is exactly what you would expect. Overall, the mount joy family restaurant won’t be a destination for me but, in a pinch, it will work.

I’m sure you have been to better places, but this little diner has a solid menu and is one of the few 24 hr places around. Come here if you’re craving good breakfast food.

This is a pretty standard fare diner. If everything else is town is closed, and I am too lazy to make myself a meal, I will come here to eat. This has happened twice in the three years I’ve lived here. Nothing stuck out as good or bad.
