Sloan Implement

I bought a used garden tractor at Sloan. They were patient with me, one guy (I forget his name) sat with me for quite a while going over options, including information I could use to evaluate mowers on Craigslist, and never pushed me into anything or pressured me. They had a couple of remote mowers delivered to their location for me to try out, and when I bought a used one, they restored it to factory specs for me (the previous owner had disabled a safety feature), and delivered it free of charge. John Deere stuff isn’t cheap, but it was a pretty good experience overall.

Sloans offers everything from commercial grade tractors and farming equipment to residential grade riding lawnmowers and snow blowers.
They are the largest John Deer outfit in the area and they only sell good quality equipment. Don’t expect to find cheap. low quality equipment here.
Ive compared their pricing to Home Depot (an Ariens snowblower and a John Deer lawn tractor) and they have the exact same price.
Two things I like about them: Number one, they are local and I like supporting local businesses. Secondly, if my tractor or snow blower ever needs servicing, they will actually make arrangements to come pick it up. You simply can’t get that type of service from Home Depot or Lowes.
Ive called them and asked how to properly maintain my equipment and they always seem to spend time with me on the phone and explain everything. If you ever need a lawnmower or snowblower, go in and ask for Mike.
I was a little skeptical to go in here at first because I assumed I was a ‘small fish’ since my purchases are small compared to the expensive large farm equipment they have (and they have a lot!). But they treated me very well and I appreciate their customer service.
I will continue to use these guys in the future for all my service needs in the future.
