We order 3 different entrees and non of the came with any vegetables! Hard to tell from the online menu what ingredients are in the entrees! My Kung Pau Chicken was not at all spicy. Very dissatisfied! Will not eat there again!

So far I’ve always had a good experience here when I order food to go. The lady who takes my order is always very nice and courteous. The food is good as well, hot and fresh every time.

Fantastic! My boyfriend and I tried this place today for our lunch break and it was well worth it! We ordered the Schezuan Tofu and it was delicious. Huge portions and excellent staff. While most people take their orders to go, the dining room was very updated and clean. It looked like a sit down restaurant which most people may not assume. We will be returning frequently! –Anna

Finally, good Asian food in Mound!!! We just had a great dinner of Moo Shu vegetable, Kung Pao Chicken, Mongolian Beef and Shrimp Fried rice. Everything was very flavorful and well prepared. The Mongolian Beef was definitely made with tenderloin and the Kung Pao was just spicy enough. It could use a few more peanuts but that would be nit picking. The Moo Shu vegetable was great and served with pancakes that don’t fall apart at the first bite. All in all, I’m excited that I no longer need to drive to Golden Valley for good Asian food. Thanks and see you soon for lunch!

My husband, two kids and I stopped in there last night. The food was fantastic, and so was the service. I had the Sesame Chicken, and it was wonderful. My husband had the Kung Pao which was equally good. My kids, 4 and 6, shared a Lemon Chicken, and they finished all of theirs and what my husband and I couldn’t finish. It was a hit. I agree with the one reviewer on one point, don’t underestimate the power of word of mouth. I will be telling everyone I know to try this place when they are in Mound.

Had take out here twice now once at lunch and once for dinner. Both times everything was great. We tried the vegetable Lo Mein, Kung Pao Beef, Sesame Chicken and Cream Cheese Puffs. All was good but our my favorite was the Kung Pao Beef. Service is quick and very friendly.

We ordered take out from here tonight, had the general chicken, moo goo gai pan, and cream cheese wontons. Order was ready in 15 minutes, everything was very good. There was a cup of wasabi sauce in the bag, Best… Stuff… Ever! We will definitely return to eat another day. Wife says that she would love fresh spring rolls added to the menu.

This place is a joke and is barely 1 star! We wanted to try this place for the 1st time last night and were excited for a new Chinese place in the area. NOT! WAY over priced, can’t speak or understand English, can’t make fried rice without soy sauce(WHAT. WHY?). We placed a phone order for pick up, an order of peking chicken that was way to bready, egg drop soup and veggie fried rice/no soy sauce(gluten free). The guy that took the order, never told me that they can’t make fried rice without soy sauce. He said about 25 minutes, my husband went to pick up, he waited another 20 minutes(What. Why?). Then we opened the bag, and the fried rice… DARK brown… loaded with soy sauce! I called and the guy says, you only said no soy sauce in the egg drop soup, no baby corns in the fried rice… I said no, I wouldn’t order my food like that, being gluten free I always order Chinese food without soy sauce. So he wanted to argue with me. In the meantime my husband went back up there, because the guy said they would have a new order of fried rice for me. He gets up there, and was then told they can’t make fried rice without soy sauce. WHAT. THE. HECK. And because nobody there could speak or understand good English and there was over 10 people waiting for their orders, he left, upset and NO new rice. So I ended up eating the plain white rice that came with the peking chicken and my husband ate the wrong rice… that was WAY to oily. Oh and after all the rigmarole we had to reheat everything! $ 20 plus and ½ of what I got… not what I ordered I couldn’t eat. Their money would be better spent on accommodating super easy special requests instead of a 4 panel multi color menu. I don’t care if this place is new, only ½ a mile from home, the new owner was in the restaurant business previously… gluten free requests this day and age are not that unheard of… GETWITHTHEPROGRAM… everything on the menu is over priced by 2 – 3 dollars, the wait time for an asian food pick up order is outrageous compared to Asian Bistro which is right down the road. From now on, I’ll pick Asian Bistro… I know they will make a gluten free meal without a problem, for a good price, within 10 – 15 mins and it’s ready when I get there to pick it up. Word to the restaurant wise, out here… don’t take the peeps in the subs for granted… not everyone is easy going and word travels fast in a small town. We’ll tell our friends, completely disapointed and we won’t be back.

Jade Palace bought out Happy Garden in Mound. They opened February 4th2014. It has been pleasantly remodeled. I saw the new sign, so I decided to walk in and check it out. I began to review the menu and make choices by asking the hostess specifics about their dishes. Each Asian restaurant has their own way of making food. I ended up asking for custom made dishes. The hostess took my order, walked in the kitchen, came out and told me «No problem!». I sat in the newly designed seating area for a few minutes of an estimated 20 minute wait. The owner walked out to offer me a free soda drink while I wait. Wow! The new owner was such a kind and generous woman. She originally owned the Jade Fountain in Wayzata MN for 26 years. She sold it to one of her employees two years ago. Then took a 2 year break to visit her mother in Hong Kong. She told me she will custom make any order! Boy, she certainly did that with mine. I ordered 1 beef-chicken-scallops-shrimp with scallions, 1 peking chicken and 1 stir fry spicy chicken no veggies. When I got home, I was amazed to see she uses large round plastic containers with firm fit lids. She packed those in a plastic bag. No spilling of juices like all the other Asian restaurants. More sticky rice than any other Asian restaurant I’ve been to. The quality of food was AWESOME! Lots of food! The quality was high. The funny thing? She isn’t ready for a flood of customers. She is a smart business woman. Taking small steps to make sure she gives the highest quality of service until she can find more quality employees to add to her staff. She said she will eventually add delivery(old Happy Garden delivered), but has to figure out the business model logistics with due time. Restaurants with smart owners work this way. I’m impressed!!! Can’t wait to try their other dishes and appetizers. Unfortunately, as of this review, the online website is not officially running yet.
