My family and I have been going to this restaurant for years. They have great food, great prices, and a great staff. We always have Marni as our server, and she is so kind! The only downfall about this place, is that I see the manager disrespecting Marni often. At least once whenever we go there, we see him yell and belittle her for almost no reason. Besides the manager, this place is great!

I wish I could call this a solid diner-experience… But no. Overbooked potatoes and omelette that had fewer ingredients than described. In short — don’t.

Seven Brothers on Waukegan. I’ve literally driven by here hundreds of times but never went in until today. I went out with a couple of my co-workers for breakfast after work. 2 of us ordered the skirt steak w/hash browns, 3 eggs and toast. The skirt steak was too chewy. After chewing on the first piece for over 5 minutes we both returned the skirt steak to the kitchen, as it wasn’t edible. The waiter was very responsive took the steaks back and brought both of us a New York strip which was better. The waiter & the bus boy provided good service and were good on the service aspect The food was just ok, but nothing that would make me want to go back and eat there again.

Dont want to base my entire experience with this one menu selection. But beware of what you expect when you order steak and eggs or steak lunch. Here is what we got: a larger than average burger as a «steak».

Good food. Good service. We were soaked from a down poor and they offered towels. Everyone was really nice. They should cooked their bacon to be crisper. Overall great place for a quick breakfast.

Not bad, great home made food. I had the Cesar salad and my wife had eggs(not egg substitute), toast, sausage and hash browns. All the food was prepped to perfection. Retro style restaurant, alittle vintage but very very clean. Definitely coming back.

It’s a good diner. It’s never over crowded which is a good thing. We somehow always have the same waiter. He is very friendly, fast and attentive!

We will never go here again. They don’t know how to cook a rare steak, only well done, then they refuse to replace it, give you dirty looks and tell the cashier to make sure you pay your full price bill. The one owner brother couldn’t have been ruder.

Great service. Food always comes out super fast. Great food at a great value. All breakfast specials are good and lunch is also very good. Really can’t go wrong.

The service is very horrible. For entire time the server came to our table for giving us the check that was it. Didn’t ask if we need anything else nor everything’s ok. When the guy at the register gave me the change, he almost threw the money wtf? I’ll never gonna come back to this place and waste my time and money.

The menu has a lot of options, so I was excited to look through and find what I wanted. I got the meat lovers skillet. It was pretty good, but I found hair in my food. It was connected to one of the sausages so I threw that one out, but the rest of the food was fine and tasted good. The place is inexpensive and worth the price. The hair really ruined the experience though.

I stopped in for breakfast one morning while I was waiting for my car at Just Tires across the street. The dining experience would have been fine except they charged me $ 1 for hot water. Are you serious? Who does that?!? Maybe they should have charged me for the air I was breathing too?

We usually *forget* about this restaurant since its only open until 8 p.m. for dinner. Anyway, I had a taste for turkey and this restaurant always has it fresh, not lunch meat. I ordered the dinner which came with soup or salad, cranberry sauce(they gave me extra), dressing(not enough) and mashed potatoes and gravy. It also came with dessert. I took both my soup(matzo ball) and dessert(banana cream pie) home and had plenty of turkey leftovers for the next night. My husband was NOT happy with his perch meal. No doubt his fish was frozen and the breading was overwhelming. Plus, the salad was small and he said many of the lettuce leaves were frozen. Live and learn.

Similarly to many people, we decided to try this breakfast place, after the car wash. The interior is okay, kinda old, but, again, u r not expecting glamorous environment from breakfast places. We ordered supreme skillet and omlet, also were included toasts and pancakes. I guess, between two of us, the food was decent, but individually it was pretty far from perfect or even good. Skillet was too salty, while omlet was not salted at all. Toasts were truly horible, we got white ones, but the pancakes were pretty good. The server dumped food on the table and I have not seen him for the next 25 minutes, so, no coffee or water refils. Well, may be for giod, since the coffee was burned and tasted funny. The time it took them to bring the food was phenomenal, may be 5 to 7 minutes, so, was a good starr, but nothing else. Doubt we will be back, only if nothing else is available in the area.

Haven’t been here since they reopened so I can only comment on how it was beforehand. Pretty average all the way around. Decent food and decent prices, though I will have to make it a point to go here now that they have reopened it to see if it’s any different/better.

I was excited to try Seven Brothers out. I ordered their Patty Melt Deluxe, which comes with a bowl of soup to start off with, a side of freshly-fried steak potato fries, a bowl of coleslaw, and two slices of the Patty Melt. The chicken broth noodle soup I had was quite hearty, warm, and delicious; just add a dash of pepper for the extra kick — almost seasoned perfectly. The rolls came plastic-wrapped, and the meat in the melt was cooked medium-well, and it was a cheesy, meaty greasiness — something I was looking forward to. The fries were hot and were perfect dipped into the ketchup and the hot sauce mixture. Prices are reasonable, and it’s a good option if you’re in the area. +chicken noodle soup +french fries +known for their grilled cheese

I hope you’re here enjoying a Christmas Meal on a well oiled machine. The Tsagalis Brothers know how to feed you as if you just pulled up to a family feast at your parents. Plus they offer a full bar for your cocktail needs. I stopped in for some mushroom soup yesterday and just wish I didn’t live an hour away… in good traffic. It’s a good thing when I say nothing has changed. The cooks and a few of the waitresses are still with them but lots of new young servers, both guys and dolls. I first started dining with them in 1988 and up till 1999, you’d see my company van parked out front at least once a day if not twice. The value here is unmeasured and the quality of food is just great. The soups are always my highlight and you should plan on taking a quart home with a bialy and bagel for just $ 6.95. Breakfast, lunch and dinner specials keep you satisfied here seven days a week. If they had check in options on our smart phones in the 90’s you would see 4,000 check-ins here easily for me. If you haven’t been in a while, you should come back. See for yourself what Table for Two had to say about«this one place that means family»… The good news is they are back open for dinner till 8 pm. If you’re looking for a place to have a private breakfast for up to 40 people, they can handle that Mon– Fri. They have a full bar and their desert department will require wheel barrel service to your car. Come enjoy this family run spot right on Waukegan Rd just south of Golf Rd that’s been here since 10÷01÷66. That’s 48 years of some of the hardest working brothers I know.(Their original building is right next door and is a computer store.)

I can see why there are only 24 reviews of this restaurant because it is mainly frequented my the elderly. For quality of food I would say very substandard when there are so many other good Greek restaurants around. I had a vegetarian omelet that was made with fresh vegetables, but the omelet was over cooked and the omelet therefore rubbery in consistency. The Greek style hash browns are not my favorite but looked old and overcooked and served cold. The coffee was pretty bland as well. I would not recommend this place and have no desire to go back there again.

We had a really nice time here. Staff was very friendly, food came out really fast. Big portions, typical diner food. Nothing was horrible, nothing stood out either. They have a lot to choose from in terms of breakfast — pancakes, waffles, several types of skillets(I got a corned beef hash skillet), omelettes, crepes, etc. When I say the portions are huge, I’m talking I had to take half home for another meal cause I was so full from all of the potatoes/veggies/meat in my skillet. My only gripe — the cheese they used on the skillet, it looked like a slice of kraft american processed cheese — I could be wrong, but I was a little disappointed by that. We were starving and didn’t want to drive around to look for another breakfast place — this sufficed. I’d return if I was in the same situation — but wouldn’t go out of my way to come back. Definitely a senior citizen type of place — we were in the minority for sure.
