Miner’s Ace Hardware

I have been coming here ever since I graduated high school @#$%^ years ago. We used to spend most of our holidays up in Morro Bay and interestingly this Miner’s Ace Hardware has always had the most interesting plant nursery I have seen in a while. Because of all the recent drought in California, they have begun to carry more and more coastal drought tolerant plants which really fit well with our landscaping. Our favorites are actually the Australian natives that they have here including the Kangaroo paws and Grenvilleas. You’ll find all sorts of colors and variations such that every time you come here you’ll find something different.
They also have a fairly decent collection of tillandsias and succulents that make for nice indoor ornaments. Of course they have all your other home supplies but I will leave that description and rating to people who know what they are talking about. I know for a fact that we never had trouble not finding what we were looking for! O yah, and don’t forget they always have free popcorn nicely popped at the front of the store. They are always friendly and courteous and oh, they don’t take military discount.

Best service, best people, and a great selection. Such a jewel to us on in the Cauycos /​Morro Bay /​Cambria area.

Staff is extremely helpful and nice! Plus it makes it easier to be the only guys in town. Helps that they’re nice though. Also, free popcorn on the weekends!

This is a nice, all-​around hardware store to go to for getting everything needed for a home repair or improvement project. The staff is friendly and helpful. They also seem to stock unusual items, late and small, that encourage impulse buying.
There’s a large parking lot that’s easy to negotiate even though there are lots of people coming and going all the time.

Lots of parking, very clear aisle signs. Got what I wanted, and cashiers were fast.

Miners can always be counted on for friendly service. I much prefer them to HD, but sometimes I am forced to go to the warehouse for big projects. The one helpful criticism I offer: get to know regulars. When I come in 1 to 5 times most weekends, I shouldn’t be asked if I have a Miners card. Everyone wants a place where people know their names. With a little attention to motivating check-​out to utilize mnemonic strategies, you would have even more faithful locals shop you ONLY. Oh yeah, of course keep popcorn weekends!

Your always greeted with a smile in this place, all the staff are very knowledgeable & helpful. They have almost everything i need for projects i do.
i do wish it was a cheap as home depot though.

Overall I’m quite satisfied with both the personnel and the merchandise Miner’s stocks. I am disappointed with their advertising as they seem to be deceptive on items in their fliers being available or not yet on sale when you have the flyer in hand stating otherwise. I don’t like making fruitless trips to be advised the ads are wrong.

This is the best place to get everything you need for your next home project including the best advise on how to best do it. Helpful, skillful, knowledgeable staff in a very clean, well supplied Hardware store.
Love their nursery too.

Talk about customer service. This place is wonderful. I am not really a fix it kinda girl, so I always appreciate all the help I can get.

You can get everything you need at Miner’s! Love stopping by here after breakfast to pick up items for the beach house. Always clean and the people there are really friendly and helpful. It’s one of our fave Morro Bay shops :)

I went there to try and fix a plumbing problem. What I wanted to do was not a good solution. They taught me how to fix the problem and lent me the tool to do it. You just cannot find this at the big home improvement stores.
The nursery there is also great. The staff knows plants and can help you choose the best ones.
There is always someone to help you.
My kids would also give it 5 stars, because they love the balloons they get.

Staff here is so friendly and helpful. I love that when you ask where something is they escort you there rather than just pointing or telling you an isle number. This is my go to spot for gardening items, home improvement supplies and canning jars.

Thank God we have Miner’s in Morro Bay. They have a great selection of all necessary stuff and the staff are super helpful. Prices are competitive with the big box stores. Staff are more than willing to give advice on projects and purchases. Garden dept is great. Have always been very satisfied with service and selection.

Miner’s is where my dad has taught me anything and everything I need to know about construction. I have enjoyed every trip we have made here to buy something or other to fix up the ranch. The people are always very very helpful and find pleasure in giving you their own opinions on your projects, etc. Which usually turn out helpful, either they made the project better or you now know something never to do again because your project became an even bigger project — overall, the outcomes of these opinions and ideas have usually been in our favor.

Again just another pleasant shopping experience. The people that help me are very knowledgeable and that makes all the difference in the world. You can have that big box store, this man’s goin’ to Minor’s. I would like to thank all of you that work there for doing just fine stand up job. Thank You!
