What a fun place to stop in with the kids while visiting Morro Bay. We enjoy browsing the large selection of candy, and playing the arcade games. My favorites are the peanut butter cups, and Dewers peanut butter taffy. I love that you can choose specific colors of M&M’s which is great for parties. The coffee & espresso is pure perfection on a foggy cold day on the embarcadero. I love that it is locally roasted by SLO Roast. I highly recommend making Kelli’s Candy a destination during your Central Coast trip!

My wife and I stopped by on Saturday 6÷4÷2016 for a little bit of sweets, I settled on the dark chocolate English toffee, she the dark chocolate covered pretzel. Both were stale. My English toffee stuck to my teeth so bad I almost threw it away. …beware always ask for a sample.

I got an ice cream cone for my two-year old daughter while visiting Morro Bay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If we ever stop by Morro Bay we’ll definitely stop here again!

Kelli’s Candies is the place we always go after a meal in Morro Bay for candy, ice cream, coffee, and to play video games. I love the taffy that they carry — it’s absolutely delicious(try the peanut butter!) My little boy always asks to get their mint chip ice cream on a cone. That is our absolute favorite flavor and this is the place to get it! Their sundaes are so good, too. Lastly, we love the variety of candy choices — both old-fashioned and those of today. We have always been served with a smile. I can’t wait to go back!

Mint chip ice cream was a waste of $ 3.50. Lacking mint flavor and chips, but plenty of icy blandness. Apathetic service.

We had the coffee ice-cream and it was the BEST coffee ice-cream we’ve ever had. Not sure if it is a brand but the girl mentioned that they make it nearby. The kids had frosted cupcake and they claimed it was really good too. The girl helping us was super friendly. I am glad we made the detour.

Extremely overpriced candy! I wouldn’t go there again. $ 23 lb for taffy. Gave it one star because I had to.

Great little candy and ice cream shop. Friendly staff and the dark chocolate anything is excellent. They have a ridiculous variety of jelly beans if that’s your thing. Plus the ice cream. Not sure if it’s a brand name ice cream or not, but it’s really good. Go for the rocky road or the cotton candy. And get a dark chocolate covered marshmallow while you’re at it.

Had the ice cream… ive been on a diet and since on vacation thought i would have one small ice cream… ended up throwing the ice cream out :(Although the staff was friendly and helpful, the ice cream was not very good… The pecan butter ice cream was not frozen… very melted down… the mint chip tasted like lime… which didnt make any sense.

This is a friendly sweet shop right on the Embarcadero in Morro Bay. The selection is decent, they have a little dispenser with free Jelly Bellies, and they gave me free hot chocolate with my purchase, since the gal said«You bought a lot and it’s a cold walk out there.» I love free stuff, but moreover I love customer service attendants that care that much about their patrons. The chocolate items were yummy, too: my 7-layer bar was tasty and surprisingly not overly-sweet. My 8-year old’s Smores bar was really tasty, too. I highly recommend stopping in and sampling some sweets!

I’m not sure what’s up with the taffy, but the flavors are so good and the consistency isn’t. I don’t know what happened but the whole bag that I put together was so sticky that the taffies were not whole pieces of candy that you can pop into your mouth, but gooey messes that you have to scrape off the wrapper with your teeth, or just throw away. Did they maybe get heated up and then cooled? I don’t know if this is my own fault but as far as I know they never reached a warm temperature after I purchased them, so it seems like they started off this way. All that aside, the coconut taffy and peanut butter taffy(has peanut butter in the middle) are super good. Like, ridiculously good. I also purchased a milk chocolate honeycomb, which was AMAZING. Definitely check out their specialty chocolates and maybe ask for a sample of the taffy before buying a whole bag.

Kelli’s needs to have their girls go through people skill training. Just because I don’t look like Brad Pit and my wife is not Jennifer Aniston doesn’t mean my money don’t work the same. Get over the superficial evolution. Me and my wife tried three times to get service and were totally ignored. Sorry where not good looking enough for your attention. I now know NOT to go here on my next trip. However word to the travelers to this area the bakery across the street was more then happy to serve us and paid attention. I would be more than happy to talk to the owners about how their girls treat people.

Candy shop, ice cream parlor, mini arcade all in one. We walked past Kelli’s while we were walking Morro Bay’s main street. My son wanted ice cream, walked in, service was awesome, ice cream and waffle cones were good. No problems. They even have a shared public bathroom you can use as needed. I disagree with the others who have given Kelli’s a negative review.

This is a very nice little candy and ice cream shoppe. It’s open a bit later than most of the other ice cream shops in Morro Bay, so we wind up coming here frequently. The help is always very friendly even if they do get very busy on holidays and during the summer months. Still, good stuff for reasonable prices. And they have some ice cream made at Cal Poly if you are interested.

The chocolate from this place was mediocre, but the ice cream was delicious. We ordered the coffee ice cream and the chocolate/orange ice cream. YUM. Plus, the girl behind the counter was super nice and helpful, and gave us tons of samples to try. Come for the ice cream, but skip the chocolate!
