Dr. King may a difficult decision easy. Her comfort and professionalism during this very emotional time was exemplary. When the time comes to euthanize our remaining English Springer, this is the only comforting way to accomplish it. Our dear Maggie was 14.5 years old and on the last day was unable to stand, eat or drink. She knew it was time. I called at 9 am on a Sunday & greeted Dr. King at my door at 10:30am. By 11:30 Maggie was on her way to heaven. Thank you so so much for your care and comfort.

My beautiful 14 year old kitty had cancer and when the end came I couldn’t stand the thought of her last minutes being in a vets office. Dr Lewis came over and her end was peaceful and I was able to talk my sweet girl onto the other side. Definitely worth having her come to the house. Thank you!

Choosing to euthanize a family pet was probably one of the hardest things we had ever done. Our vet (The Cat Clinic in Cary) was just super bad about helping us through the process (that will be another review).
Dr. Dana was simply an angel !! She came to our house on a very snowy day and she could not have been more compassionate about the entire process. She explained what she was going to do and did it with the utmost professionalism.
It was a little pricey but worth every cent. If you are on the fence about choosing home euthanasia for your pet please go with Dr. Dana. As good as it gets for a process that none of us really wants to face up to.

The best possible experience for such an unhappy process.
I was referred to Dr. Lewis from my old vet in Cary (Pet Sound, which is also great btw). Having always adopted older German Shepherds we were not new to the death of a beloved animal, but ‘Bandit’ was special. He had remnants of a being abused and even after 7 years with us he was still skittish about being picked up or even touched. Going to cold sterile vet clinics was so traumatic for him we just didn’t want to risk his last moments alive to be filled with fear and anxiety. He truly was our ‘special needs’ German Shepherd.
We spoke with Dr. Lewis, filled out her processing form online and scheduled our home visit. Her availability was very flexible and accommodating and upon arrival was very professional, personable and also empathetic. She explained the process, what to expect in terms of the stages of the process (and provided some literature for later) and then let us take our time saying good bye. The process did not feel rushed, it was very nice (and important to us) to be able to have Bandit comfortable and in familiar surroundings for his last moments. We also got to share the experience with our other pets which was also important for us. Dr. Lewis made all the arrangements and coordinated with the Vet for cremain retrieval.
While always an unpleasant experience to euthanize your family companion, this was by far the best experience in terms of comfort and final care for your loved one and the best way to send your beloved companion off to wait at Rainbow Bridge.
