I just ordered some personalized stationary from Patti, the service was brilliant and what we received was even better. I was looking for something very simple and minimalist and Patti & Christine knew exactly what I was looking for. They gave me 5 or 6 options/​typefaces to choose from. I love supporting locally but quality and service are my main priorities. Definitely will use LBDP again.

There are no words to express how poorly treated we were by Christine and this shop. As residents of Morristown we believe in shopping with our local merchants so I made an appointment to so that we could shop for our wedding invitations. We walked in were told to sit at the table and waited, a girl comes out no introduction and first question was «Do you have a budget» we answered no, she asked about style and I told her I was opened to some styles, I don’t think she even asked us our wedding date. She then pulls out two books and some post its and tells us to mark what we wanted we liked and disappeared. We looked thru the books and just sat there, she came back I told her I found nothing, she gave me look and pulled out more books and disappears again. We manage to find two invites and one that was on display, now this is a small order, 50 invites which seemed below them, when I questioned the display one some other woman sitting there talking about her lunch turned around and said I don’t think that we should considered that one the printer would not do it, at 42 $$ an invite Christine said they would. When she looked at what we picked, she acted surprised as though we couldn’t afford what we chose, «You picked out expensive invitations», seriously this is how you do business? I was so upset by this time that I couldn’t make up my mind on which one, but we told her we needed save the dates and we could order those now and get back to her on our choice. She took down some information (finally asked the wedding date) and told us she would send us the PDF-​file for us to review. That was on ²⁄₆ and to this day we have not heard one word from that store. I know Christine did not care about our wedding but when I’m paying you do something for me, at least act like you do! I would never recommend this shop yo anyone and I knew the minute we walked out that they were just not interested in or business.
On a happier note we walked up the street to «Cherish The Moment», I decided to make an appointment with them just in case. Dora was more than happy for us and our wedding invitations and although she was finishing up with another couple she asked us to sit and she would help and she worked with us past closing time. The best part, I purchased the same invite I saw at your store, which you never told came in a different color and the same save the date which you had for 3.75 with no discussion of paper for 1.70 on the same paper as my beautiful expensive invitations.

My fiancé and I absolutely loved working with Patty Gibbons and Little Black Dress Paperie. I could not possibly be more in love and obsessed with our wedding invitations. When we picked them out I was excited and thought they were perfect. But when we picked them up today, they were even more perfect than I ever expected. They were absolutely beautiful! The few guests that I’ve showed them to already have all been wowed by how gorgeous they are.
Patty was wonderful to work with! An absolute dream. From our first appointment with her, she was incredibly helpful and receptive to all of our ideas, and told us where to spend our money and where not to, and went as far as to say «don’t waste your money on this,» «this isn’t worth spending your money on,» «spend your money here» — which I found really refreshing and, quite frankly, surprising for someone in the wedding industry. Patty respected our budget and constantly offered us ways to stay within it, while at the same time showing us how to make our invitations a «wow» and where to spend our money wisely. Patty completely understood my vision for our invitations and all of our wedding paper and helped me understand how to bring my vision to life!
Over the course of our relationship with Patty, I probably emailed her 30 times, and she responded to each email in a timely fashion and always made us feel taken care of. She goes above and beyond to give her advice on anything as to which you seek it.
Patty was also helpful in giving me ideas for our ceremony programs (which I am doing myself and not purchasing from her store) and how to make them go with the theme and look of our invitations. Even though we weren’t purchasing them from her, Patty still gave me her ideas and detailed advice on what she thought we should do, based on my ideas. Importantly, she was honest. When she thought an idea I was considering wasn’t the best, she would say so, explain why, and offer a better idea. It is so refreshing to have someone give you an honest opinion and not just agree with you, and suggest something different that you perhaps hadn’t thought of and happen to love just as much.
I cannot stress enough what a wonderful experience we had working with Patty and Little Black Dress. She is such a creative individual and really a visionary when it comes to one of the most important, visible ways of branding and theming your wedding. My fiancé and I highly recommend her to anyone who wants a professional, creative stationer for their wedding or any other important life event! :)

After getting the invitations home, my fiancé and I were so excited, that we started stuffing them. We discussed making sure NOT to seal them since we didn’t have stamps yet. What do we do? Yup, sealed them! I called Patty in a panic and she was so quick to calm me down and reassure me that it’s not a big deal. She reordered the outer envelopes for me and I just picked them up yesterday. I can’t begin to say how much I enjoyed working with both Patty and Christine! I will continue to use them for any future events requiring professional invitations! In the meantime, I will happily recommend them to anyone looking for beautiful invitations for a special event!

We had our wedding invitations printed here and worked with Patti. The quality of the product was really exquisite, the service was disappointing.
We had 2 appointments initially to browse designer books. Once we made our selection, Patti wrote down the specific text we wanted and offered to look up the addresses herself for the church and reception venue. She then sent us PDF proofs via e-​mail and we went through 6 – 7 rounds of editing. I trusted that she would have the right addresses for the venues, but realized a few rounds into editing that she had typed the wrong address for the reception venue — yikes! We also Googled the proper way to capitalize dates and realized that they had typed that incorrectly too. In summary, the attention to detail was disappointing. Patti was very responsive to emails and we got our invitations on schedule.
A lot of the designers that we considered had options to let customers buy directly from their website. In retrospect, we could have just ordered online from the vendor directly, but going into the process we thought that the store would be able to help facilitate the process.
Tips:
**There was a sale going on when we were there, so if you aren’t in a time crunch, see if you can find out when/​if the store will be running a sale.
**They were willing to reduce the price if we paid in cash/​check rather than credit card, but that wasn’t explicitly offered, we asked if that was an option. Lesson learned — always ask if there are further discounts available if you pay in cash/​check.
