Crab rangoon were excellent and the chicken on a stick was a fan favorite. The sushi left me wanting. The restaurant was clean and the décor was nice. The staff was attentive and the bathroom was well kept. They have all the things you would usually see at a China buffet: fried rice, pot stickers, rangoon, egg rolls, seafood thing that was kind of weird. Dessert is also standard Chinese buffet: bananas in red stuff, chocolate custard, and they have individual ice creams. Overall nice experience. The average score of my party was 3 stars with scores ranging from 2 to 4.

China Buffet in Morris, Il has really slipped in the last couple of years. The food appears to be hours old and is never hot enough. Most offerings are 75% picked over-the pans usually are near empty and seem to never get refilled. The food in general is well below average compared to most«Chinese buffets» around. Service is as cold as the lame food. We decided to give it another chance yesterday. Long story short– my wife got a stomach ache and I got the all-night shits. Make another choice!

My husband and I were very gung ho about trying this place again. New chef, new menu, and 20% off. yadda yadda yadda. Well, the food was worse! Dried up fried rice. Hard as a rock roast beef. Most of the chicken pieces are drenched in sweet sauces. The sushi was on the dessert bar, and resembled dessert with brown and caramel colored sauces drizzled over it. Thank God I asked if was dessert, and they said«no, it’s sushi very spicy» The place was supposed to be remodeled. Well it looked the same to me. The«E» on the word Buffet is still burned out. The only choices that were palatable were the dessert choices. Very disappointed. Will not go again.

Time for an updated review. This China Buffet finally reopened a few weeks ago, after being closed for several months for«remodeling». The Occupants in the Morris area received a notice of their new food offerings and 20% off the new price hikes. I was there with 2 others for the lunch buffet, and saw NO signs of any remodeling or changes of any kind. The food was the same: lukewarm to cold, empty trays, and some others with barely any product in at all. New desserts and a new small sushi selection, which was good. Also, now you pay for the hot tea. That used to be part of the buffet price, but now it’s $ 1.99 per person, plus the $ 7.49. Both Ottawa and Minooka have much better offerings for a short additional drive.

We had not been there in a couple of years and then it was okay, the kids liked it, and I could usually find something to eat. They used to have a soft serve ice cream machine and the kids loved making their own cones for desert. They wanted to try it again tonight, all I can say is we all wondered around looking for something edible. Poor selection of food, most of the chicken dishes were breading with an atom or two of meat. Many trays were empty, and the ones that had stuff were mostly deep fried. There was one thing that was okay, fried rice noodles. That was it. As far as the ice cream, the reason the kids wanted to go, no more soft serve, there was a deep chest freezer with 5 gallon containers that were pretty much empty. It was pretty nasty. There did appear to be some happy customers but it appeared they preferred quantity over quality, if you know what I mean. When we left, the kids said they never want to go back, and this was the last time for me. I can think of 5 other places close by that are the same price or cheaper and much better for a sit down meal. If you want gorge yourself on deep fried batter, this is the place for you.

This place has gone down hill since they have opened, I have been there many times and last night will be the last, the staff that can hardly understand English is annoying but expected and then watching the man bringing the food out and touching everything with his hands and even scratching his greasy looking hair and then serving the food was disgusting, and to top it off the new ice cream set up is crazy you scoop out your own ice cream and its soo low you have to actually get in the thing to scoop out the ice cream then you use an ice cream scooper that sits in dirty water, this place is very dirty more so than other buffets, just sit and look around next time, even watch the dirty guy bringing out your plates. The health department will definitely have fun there

I had eaten here several times a few years ago and noticed the quality going down hill. After getting some bad sushi, I had sworn off the place. A friend from work had tried to convince me is was much better now. I happened to be in the area so I took her up on the recommendation. Things have definitely NOT improved. I arrived at noon, which would make one think the good would be fresh if just from the turnover. The white rice had been sitting out so long, it had reverted to its pre-cooked hardness. Everything was luke warm at best, and the broccoli from the chicken was refrigerator cold. Stay away unless you want food poisoning. I ended up leaving and going to my old standby instead.

Best Chinese food in the area. And we live an hour away. Food is fresh and tasty. Never old. Staff is friendly too. Have gone with large groups aged from 75 to 15 months. Something for everyone, even my mother in law that can’t eat shell fish.

Good China Buffet type place. Food fresh, shrimp & salmon good. They only put out enough for customers, so it doesn’t sit around too long. Pretty quick on refilling as needed. We go there when we’re in the area.
