Junior’s Seafood

My mouth waters just thinking of the food here.
I got the shrimp soup that I was craving for and I don’t know why I waited so long to go for it.
It was perfectly flavored. Lots of veggies and jumbo shrimps. I got it with tostones –fried plantains. I called to order it because it takes about 20 – 30 mins to make so I wouldn’t wait so long for pick up.
It closes late too so it’s convenient.
The staff offered water and their special soup so that’s nice of them. I think it was fish but I didn’t want.

Normally I never have a problem when ordering from this place but today must be an off day for them. I placed my order at 5 p. m and by 5:40 I my food arrived. I ordered a large chicken soup which cost $ 8 and the #9 combo the whole roasted chicken dinner. They sent me a large chicken broth, no meat just broth. I called back to let them know and the lady I spoke to said on my order it said fish soup. I told her I never ordered fish soup and the other lady who took my order repeated what I said. My total order came to $ 24.99 and I just wanted them to replace the soup. I was told repeatedly I ordered fish soup; now if I did eat fish soup which I don’t, why did they send me a large order of chicken broth? Either way there was no meat in my soup fish or otherwise. while I was speaking to the 2^nd lady who was trying to assist me I could hear the 1^st lady who did take my order say in the background saying, «you still talking to her» WTF??? YES SHE IS STILL SPEAKING TO ME!!! I told the 2^nd lady to speak to the 1^st because I don’t like when people get smart I paid my money and I just wanted the soup replaced. After all that the 2^nd lady said all the soup was finished and all they had left was fish soup. AGAIN, if I ate fish soup WHY DID THEY SEND ME A LARGE BOWL OF CHICKEN BROTH??? The manager said the next time I ordered they will give me a discount and apologized for it. I told the 2^nd lady they better teach the first 1 how to speak to people or they will get a lot of bad reviews.

In the Bronx working today and Junior’s served a great lunch. Brown rice seafood was a perfect size and nice mix of shrimp, scallops, fish, calamari.
The coffee was outstanding. I can’t wait to get back just for a cup.
Not sure if he was the owner or manager, but a nice gentleman stopped by the table to make sure we were happy with everything.

Had a whole fried tilapia with okra and chofan. Dining companion had the whole fried tilapia with avocado salad and chofan. Tilapia is made upon request and was delicious— our fingers still smell like fish after several hand washes and lemon rinses lol.
Bathrooms are clean, staff is friendly and service is prompt and attentive. Definitely recommend.

Well. The first time I ordered seafood chofan for delivery and it was good.
A few weeks later I show up to enjoy some salmon filet and some pasta, it was really delicious, the attention was OK and the music was fine, not loud like some other places around the area.
Owner/​Manager came to every guest to see if they were pleased with the food and the service.
