holy cow, what happened DIckeys? I used to go to Dickeys in Denver years ago and I know they HAD a big restaurant at this location that I guess failed. Now it is tiny place next to a massage envy… I order the big sammich and ask for brisket(sliced) and hot links. No hot links the kid says. What a puny, paltry sammich! Hey DICKeys, maybe go to a place like the doghouse grill in Fresno and just TRY one of their sammiches. If you do, you’ll close and give up. What garbage! The traildust is much much better

I have no problem with the food. I think the food is great. The customer service is the problem. The first time I went I loved it. A girl greeted me and my food was ready in 10 minutes. Then after that one great experience it went downhill. I ordered online one hour before my lunch just to make sure I could pick it up and leave. No that wasn’t the case, I wanted 20 minutes after I arrived when I specifically wanted to avoid that because I only have a 30 minute lunch. Every Time I order ahead of time it’s never ready. The customer service sucks. They make it seem like having customers is a bother. They are rude. I stopped going to this location just because that’s how bad their customer service is.

Someone in the reviews below mentioned they don’t understand why the bad reviews, it’s because people only like to complain, they rarely use Unilocal to say something nice. When this place opened they were super slow, yes. The owner who is the young guy when you walk in spent 2 months working 18 hour days trying to get the store opened. It took them about a month to get the process flowing and as you can imagine they have employee turn over which means they have a new hire working the line. I know it sounds like I work there or own the place but I don’t, I just eat there every day. I run a team of sales people and we all eat there almost every day. David, the owner is cool if you take the time to get to know someone. Yes he is not like me as I am old and have a wife and kids but I have gotten to know him and he is a great person. The food is awesome. There is not one thing on the menu that I don’t love. The spicy cheddar sausage is amazing! The brisket is awesome(By the way brisket is SUPPOSED to have fat in it, that is where the flavor comes from). The Chicken is great. The old location I could not stand the chicken as it tasted too smokey but this chicken is super moist and not smokey at all. I recommend that if you are reading this then leave a review. Don’t use Unilocal to judge places but then not leave a good review if you like a place.

If you’re looking for good BBQ this is the place to go. Food is always served hot and that’s one of my musts! Employees are friendly and the owner is very involved in making sure the customer is happy. I’ve made special requests on my order and they always deliver with a smile. Highly recommend this place.

The world is full of super harsh internet food critics. If you’ve come here three times and not enjoyed it, my first move would be to go to another bbq joint, not destroy the place on a review that never forced you to come back three times. There are other places in town but they are ridiculously expensive and the wait staff would rather text and play grab ass than help a customer. You come to Dickeys for a fast and casual bbq meal, not to have something cooked exactly to your liking. And if you want the meat done a certain way, ask. Do you want a different cut rather than what was given to you? Ask. The gentleman that owns and runs this store is so accommodating that it’s crazy to think anyone would bring anything to his attention and him not over-correct it in the customers best interests. I’ve seen some of the people who shop here aside from my group, and some of them are so demanding and focused on themselves that they fail to realize that there are others ahead of them, paying the same price, and being polite. It’s a new place and things are falling into place. Also the catering is top notch for the price as compared to what exists in Morgan Hill currently. Go into this Dickeys and tell The young man busting his backside at something not many others would even be capable of attempting and congratulate him on being a successful young man doing the cooking for you so you can enjoy a stress free night with family and friends while he works from 6am to midnight, 7 days a week getting it up and running. Don’t sit behind your phone criticizing him, because if your complaint is that critical, you didn’t speak with him trying to correct it, or you’d be poking your critical little thumbs on a higher star count. I don’t even like bbq that much, but the guy running the place makes it worth every bit of 5 stars, and the food is great as long as you aren’t expecting Gordon Ramsey to come out and serve you lamb chops with a sprig of rosemary.

I don’t know why this place has bad reviews. I’ve eaten here multiple times and they’ve ALL been perfect! Food is always delicious and the staff is always courteous and kind. Of course some food items run out, it’s bbq, SLOW smoked bbq! This location is by far my favorite BBQ place in California. To the team there, keep doing what you’re doing! Also, the manager is great!

As hard as it is to write a bad review of a place I love to eat, I have to do this. I placed my order 7:06PM and I did not receive it until over 25 minutes later. When I got it, it was made incorrectly and the meat was warm, not hot. It took them another 10 minutes to get me my salad that was still made not as I requested. For those who do not know, this food is already cooked and all they do is cut it and place it on your plate. There seems to 5 plus employees working here so I don’t get why they are so slow. I should have read the other reviews and should have taken it as a sign that it took them forever to open. I will also add that the table across from me and behind me both had their meals made incorrectly as well.

Waited patiently for this location to open and I guess we should’ve kept waiting! Ordered bbq to go, hubby had to go back inside for our missing chicken and 2 sides. The food quality is lacking, chicken had a strong vinegar taste(no smoke flavor ATALL). Nothing had a smoke flavor, no rings, nada. Hubby’s ribs mushy, over cooked and were mostly fat and still had plastic wrap on it. Brisket was full of fat, oily and was not sliced right. WHATHAPPENED? New owners? Who knows but they lost loyal customers. …

This place is decent, not as bad as what other people mentioned before. but it wasn’t the greatest bbq I’ve had. We ordered the 3 meat plate with 2 sides and some additional sides too. Got the beef brisket, chicken, and cheddar sausage with Mac and cheese, their waffle fries with foo foo seasoning, and their deep fried okra. We also got 4 pork sliders, which I think we’re pretty decent for the price($ 1 each). I’d pass on the deep fried okra though, and they should give more than 1 bbq sauce with your order.

Food was okay but the people working there are not organized. Waited way too long just to place an order with only a couple of people in line. Also, the old location had a big barrel of homemade pickles. This location doesn’t have that.

So they just opened in the new location. I have been in twice and both times it was painfully slow. Food is good, the kids working there are nice and friendly, I think doing the best they can. Here is the issue as I can see it, no process to get orders in and out. Having worked in food service, I have a strong urge to jump behind the counter and start directing people. Really it should not be this painful. Management get these people some training or you will start losing business and your staff. Hope to up this score in the future.
