Really disappointed with the service at this location. I am from Chicago and have eaten at Portillo’s HUNDREDS of times, but the service at this location stinks. The employees couldn’t care any less about their jobs, quality, or customer service. Even spoke with the manager who was just as bad. I might not ever eat at Portillo’s again because this experience was so bad.

This place is so awesome it’s hands down one of the best places to eat in Moreno Valley. They are quick in the drive through, the food is so good they have an option online to ship it across the country and had been on the good network several times. The Italian beef with extra gravy is amazing I always get two and Dave one because one is never enough. I’ve seen a couple of the negative reviews but frankly there is always one jerk that you can’t make happy no matter what you do and I feel fairly certain that’s what’s happening with the negative reviews. I’d take any negative feedback with a grain of salt and consider the source because this place is absolutely fantastic. Also when you sit in its beautiful the décor is so fun and beautiful it’s just all around a really great place to go and take your kids, I can’t say enough about them, they’re awesome.

Love portilos just not this location! My husband and I travel a lot, with that being said we are a big fan of portilos. We have been to many of portilos including the other one in Cali, some in Chicago and Indiana. Although all of the locations are consistent with the taste and service this portilos was by far the worst I’ve eaten at no wonder its not so many reviews. When I got there they placed the order fairly quickly. I took my receipt and had a seat in front of the counter where I saw two girls(portilos employees) talking the entire time so loudly fixing customers drinks, and etc. It also took a lot longer to receive my order considering that the place was dead. I ordered the Italian beef sandwich what I always order at all of the locations so I’m never disappointed but this location beef has no seasoning so the meat is very bland. The meat look different than other locations. I literally had to pull my sandwich apart because I had so much fat or very tough meat that was unchewable. I’ve never had that happen. I think this is another restaurant with portilos name on it because their Italian beef sucked for a portilos restaurant.

The food is super good and made fresh to order. The parking lot had plenty of room and the inside is huge. It’s not a problem finding a place to sit. The prices are on average with other restaurants. I like that they don’t have tv’s on the walls lime most places. It keeps the noise to a minimum. Definitely coming back!

Came at 9:38PM on May 17th precisely. I was craving one of their hotdogs all day. I get to the drive thru window and ask for a moment to order. When I’m finally ready to order, only then does the cashier let me know that they won’t be serving any more hotdogs. First strike, if you know you’re not serving an item for the night why not be courteous and let me know before ordering. So ridiculous, she likes to waste her and people’s time I assume. Secondly, without me even asking why they weren’t selling dogs anymore she goes on with telling me it’s because they close in 20 minutes. Strike two! Seriously I’ve never had any problems with this restaurant ever. In fact, before this occurrence I’d vouch for their customer service and food by all means. I’m assuming all wrong– doing to their lazy staff. Again, I’m so so disappointed.

I was fortunate to discover Portillo’s in Chicago a few years back. Imagine my surprise when I found one in Moreno Valley! The Italian beef with hot peppers is fantastic, but quite messy. It’s hard to pass up a good Chicago-style dog, too. All the salads I’ve tried are wonderful, but it’s really hard to get anything but the beef! The chocolate cake is great, but I almost always have to get it to go and have a big glass of milk with it.

I have never had bad food here! This food is great! We used to drive from Riverside to the Buena Park location just to eat. My staple every time I go is the Italian beef sandwich with hot peppers(not that hot, just flavor) with gravy(au jus) poured on top, with an additional one to take home for later. Me and the wife split a single order of chili cheese fries. Beers on tap with huge glasses. Tried one of the burgers once and it was awesome as well. Giant salad bar with salads made to order. If I lived closer I would eat here all the time, and also weigh 300 pounds! Restaurant is always clean. Restrooms always clean as well. Outdoor and Indoor seating.

I really like this place. It’s better to dine in. The wait to do so is very small. The food is very savory and well made. They have plenty of options. The salads here are delicious, but my favorite thing here is their chocolate cake. It’s beyond scrumptious. The vibes here are casual and is nice to just stop by and enjoy lunch with friends or associates. The prices are fairly decent, but worth it. The service is really nice and they’re quick and thus far have never messed up on any of my orders, so I really appreciate that. Solid restaurant and a definite must try.

Started a new job in Riverside a month back and on my first day,(2) colleagues decided to treat me to lunch and take me to their favorite place. One of those colleagues is Chi-town born and bred and I guess Portillo’s is a Chicago based place best known for it’s hot dogs and italian beef sandwiches. Now, I am a rare eater of the cow but since this was the suggested«must have” — eh, when in Rome… so moo moo it is. Did not disappoint– juicy and messy… so be prepared to not be so cute. Portion size= more than enough. I ate ½ there and the other ½ later that night at my daughter’s soccer practice. Yes, I ate it cold– it was that darn good. The dip wasn’t necessary for me because it was juicy enough but it didn’t hurt. My picture is not that clear but trust me– you can’t go wrong at Portillo’s.

Review is Drive thru only. Didn’t even know there was a Portellos in MoVal. Saw it and decided to grab a couple dogs and some fries. Wifey had the regular Chili Dog and she loved it. Nice snap to the casing and tasty chili. I had the Polish Dog with grilled Onions. Goddamn! It was awesome. We sat in the car and grubbed. Will definitely go back and see what else they have.

Portillo’s is great, with quality dogs, delicious cake shakes, and enough Italian beef sandwiches to keep you occupies. The atmosphere is pretty casual, and I’ve rarely had to wait too long — in fact, I think my worst waits have actually been in the drive-thru. Portillo’s is an establishment with a heralded past; my buddies always make a stop when they’re in Chicago, so imagine my excitement of having the same thing a few miles from the house. The place is clean, the employees usually have a good attitude, and food comes out pretty quickly. I really recommend the chocolate cake shake if you’re sweet tooth needs something. I come here when I need a real Chicago dog. Otherwise, Costco’s a stone’s throw away if you need a giant dog with your basic toppings.

Just as good as their location in Buena Park, but much much better as far as the wait time and table availability. Same menu, same ambiance and dining room décor, same cleanliness, lots of available parking, same great prices! We came for an early lunch after a morning youth hockey game and had no problem getting our large party seated. We ordered their single cheeseburger, chili cheese hot dog, chili cheese fries, and an Italian beef sandwich. None of it was left over. Each was delicious! Portillo’s has what looks like an awesome salad bar! Ask me if I’ve ever ordered any salad from there. Nope. Their burgers/dogs/Italian beef sandwiches/fries/rings all look too good to pass up. When we come here, it’s a treat to do so, thus we make the most of it and pass on the healthy stuff which we’d rather get from Souplantation or salad-like restaurant. Now only if Portillo’s would place a location in the South Bay/Chula Vista area…

Horrible, really the only reason they even get two stars is that they have a descent selection and the prices are fair. The food quality was horrendous, I ordered an ahi caesar salad surprised to even find ahi here. The fish smelled, was overcooked, the salad leaves wilted and hard, pre cut way too long ago, I had to toss it. My husband had the french dip, also really bad, onion rings would have been the best thing here. Food came out quickly and service was fine, but there is no way we would ever return here!

I knew there were a couple of Portillos locations in SoCal but didn’t think I’d ever get to one. However, driving from Palmdale to San Diego found me right by one, and as a Chicagoan, I had to stop. It felt exactly like the ones back in Chicago. At lunch, around 12:30pm, it really wasn’t too busy. The food still took longer than it probably should have considering I had a very basic order, so that’s my biggest knock. I got two hot dogs which were very, very good. Exactly how they are back in Chicago. I would never be able to tell a difference. The fries, however, were good but not great. Portillos is one of my absolute favorite fries, but I didn’t enjoy these as much. So, there was a definite difference there. Prices were fair and seemed equal to Chicago. Service was friendly. Definitely a good stop!

Anything with meat, some type of carb(potatoes — fries, bread — the beautiful thing that holds the meat) & gravy — au jus, together is just beautiful. Portillos is a messy sandwich that makes you so happy. It’s like a drug, once you start eating you completely zone out into your own world. Dip the fries in the gravy and it’s just like«Oh», it’s SOGOOD! I got my sandwich with the sweet & hot peppers with a side of fries. I was not disappointed. Neither was anyone at my table. Once we started eating we all became quiet. We became one with our sandwiches. Occasionally we would look up at each other and just have the biggest grin. Portillos is just edible happiness. If you’ve never been — make it a point to go at least once in your life! Side note: BATHROOMSAREFREEZINGCOLD. But clean.
