Can’t think of a better spot for a dinner with friends. The complimentary pizza appetizer was crisp and delicious. They also serve a chick pea salad dressed with a balsamic vinaigrette… perfect preview into what’s to come. Veal calabrese had heat and mucho flavor. Service was excellent as no one in our party of 10 was left waiting for a drink. Cudos to amadeo’s an excellent, family iwned business.

What a cute, old school Italian place. The wait staff was attentive and kind (we had our two toddlers with us). The food was delicious. I had the salmon florentine, my husband had the gnocchi and my kids split the huge portion of spaghetti and meatballs. Everything was delicious and the portions were huge. They also poured great cocktails. I’d love to go back and recommend highly!

This place is so popular and I’m not sure why other than the huge wasteful portion size. Their speciality is risotto and they serve a portion size that I would put out for a family of four. It’s good, but doesn’t taste like authentic risotto cooked for 45 minutes. Tastes like rice with heavy cream and cheese sauce. I would love this place and frequent it more if they served a reasonable portion at a lesser price. I don’t need to take home enuf food for the next three days. This seems to be their claim to fame. Just watch how many doggie bags go out the door. The elders seem to love this, but really, ask yourself how reasonable the cost for rice or pasta is?

The food is great and the dishes are very big. The staff is friendly and kind. Family friendly, there are many kids dishes. Everything was freshly made and tasty. Great place!

Tried this restaurant on my birthday with 3 other people in my party. The food was excellent, the service was awesome, and the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated inside. Couldn’t have asked for anything better. I definitely recommend and look forward to returning!

The food is exceptional. I would have given 5 stars but the wine selection is weak and you get pre packaged butter with the bread and no olive oil. Highly recommend the seafood fra diavolo. The quality of the food can compete with major metropolis institutions. Also the service is excellent.

Good meal. We came in before the Steamtown Marathon. The staff was accommodating. The atmosphere is very friendly from both the staff and the clients. The food was well prepared and good. Traditional Italian fare. The food was not flavored too much with garlic, but was rather just prepared correctly. Will come back.

Great food! Authentic Italian favorites. Unlike other Italian restaurants, the sauce is not over powering or too much.
If you are having Pasta, the fettuccine is a MUST. Handmade and delicious.
Wife had eggplant parmigiana which was fresh mozzarella and fresh eggplant.
Chickpea starter is delicious.
Service is outstanding and always willing to make your time and food enjoyable.
A definite return is in order.
Why four instead of five stars… the bread was not the best. Would love to had some fresh baked bread.

By far one of the best Italian restaurants in the area. No need to drive to Old Forge. Amazing food, great menu at reasonable prices. Love the pizza samples and garbonzo salad on the table. Try the eggplant tower appetizer and the homemade lasagna. Everything on the menu is delicious. One of my top choices in Scranton. My only regret is that we moved away.
