This is a great entrance to the Fox River Trail running north-south on the west side of the river. There is a restroom, a pavilion and a small playground here as well as many fishing accesses to the river. It’s less than 3miles from downtown batavia and only a few miles from the north aurora bridge. the path is not as wide as other rails-to-trails projects but is still wide enough for people to pass each other cleanly. the bridges are sturdy and in good shape but parts of the trail are starting to show their age so sometimes you have to be careful. Definitely the thing I love most about this trail is how close it runs to the actual water versus other rails-to-trails projects. You are basically on the edge of the water sometimes with just a few feet of greenery. There are houses along much of the trail but they are in wooded lots and they are pretty to look at while you are walking/running/biking by. Overall, the scenery is amazing and I recommend this trail to anyone looking for some fresh air and a nice view of the Fox River.
