I went to Firebirds in moorestown today at 12:45.it looked pretty empty, only one table occupied outside, and a lot of Empty tables inside. I didn’t make a reservation, and this would have been my first time there. Couldn’t understand why the hostess said it would be a 25 minute wait for inside or out. Did they not what me there???

First time here, and it was a pleasant experience. Went with 7 family members. Very comfy table. Our waitress, Pam. I think, bent over backwards catering to us. Had the very large smoked wings. 10 meaty, tasty wings. I ordered the small prime rib, end cut. Usually, they can’t make it anything but medium. I like medium rare. and that’s exactly how it came out! Delicious! The cider slaw was a great side. Don’t skimp on the key lime pie and large chocolate cake for dessert! We will be back!

The inside of the place is pretty nice. And the wood fired grill smells pretty awesome. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger and steak fries. Positives — Yeah, it was a pretty damn tasty burger. Steak fries were a bit too salty, but overall nicely seasoned. Can’t really complain, it was a big burger, too! Negatives — A bit pricey, but not bad.

First time going here and I loved it! The hostess and staff were amazing. They have a gluten free menu. As soon as the waitress saw it she immediately made it a point to tell me she would take care of my needs. Had the baby back ribs with slaw and side of mash. They were finger licking good. How could it not be? It’s prepared on a wood fire grill!!! So disappointed the one I NYC is not open. Every time I go to Jersey I will make it a point to eat here.

So I came back for happy hour and I must say it was amazing!!! My girlfriend and I had 6 martinis and they were all good. I order the fish tacos and buffalo chicken strips. the dishes were very good! The fish tacs were the high light of my meal, this is a must order… plus the tacos came to $ 7 bucks… Coins well spent. I will be back… I rally enjoyed myself!!! Plus my bill was $ 40 with tip! My girl friend and I shared the brownie dessert… It was amazing!!!

Last minute Saturday night before Valentine’s Day we were out and about figured we’d give Yard House a try … Wait ridiculous, so we made our way over to this beautiful restaurant. Wait was 45 min plus but no wait in bar. Brittany greated us expecting us to take up her table while we waited. Not. We got the perfect table in the corner and ordered a fine bottle of wine and steak dinners. The bread was warm and crusty and our steaks were on par with any steakhouse garnering five stars. We ended with a decadent brownie sundae. Perfect meal and service. We will be back!

Go to yard house in the mall if you’re going to eat in this area. The bar tending staff, kitchen, and management(Mike and Harry) in particular are completely apathetic towards the customers. I spent 84 dollars on a taco entrée that came out wrong twice in which both managers knew and offered nothing, not even an apology. And the bar tender gave me half a martini but charged full price.

Moorestown is one of my favorite malls, seemingly untouched, easy to navigate, and rarely over-crowded. Firebirds is a great addition, and by far my favorite place to eat when I visit! The smell of the wood-fired grill upon entering the mall, and even from the parking lot, is incredibly enticing. I usually like to *try* to keep it on the lighter side while eating when shopping, so usually I go for one of their salads(after eating a loaf of their complimentary bread, of course). Their ribeye salad is SO, so good. It has just enough bleu cheese crumbles, without overpowering the perfectly distributed vinaigrette that accompanies the salad. Once, my friend and I both split the salad and club sandwich, expecting to just both split the plates ourselves on arrival. We were pleasantly surprised to see that the server had already done this for us! My mom always raves of their pineapple martinis, comparable to the Stoli Doli that our beloved Capital Grille has to offer. This is a fresh alternative. I’ve had both meat and seafood at Firebirds, and I definitely recommend the steak above all other items!

I was happy with my visit to Firebirds. My friend called a few restaurants on a Saturday night that all had a fairly long wait or wouldn’t take names, but Firebirds put her name on the list and we were seated right away. I had the crab cakes appetizer I thought was good and I liked the accompanied tortilla slaw and mango chutney that had a little kick to it. Food may have been a bit overpriced, but the rest of my friends dishes were prepared very well also, and I have no complaints about the service. I would come back.

The ambiance and service here were nice but the food a little lacking. The flavor relied heavily on the cheese and cream which made me feel quite heavy after my lunch. My co-worker ordered a steak medium and it came back well done and crispy.

The quality of food was good. Timeliness was good. A little on the pricey side. The staff was clueless on the menu. Probably won’t come back.

Very good waitress made it very pleasant 4+ stars for service. Lobster queso was fantastic. I had the Durango burger, step mom the salmon — both very good. On the downside fries were cold & my wife’s steak — ordered medium well was more medium rare. Only on the whole ok for the money.

We have never been to any Firebirds location before and decided to try it during PREIT Restaurant Week(we try you, we like you, we come back 10x and pay full price and bring our friends). Fortunately, we went during PREIT Restaurant Week and didn’t have to pay the full prices for Applebee’s style food. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the best experience overall. We booked a reservation on a Tuesday evening, thinking it might be busy since it’s restaurant week and everyone loves that. We arrived a bit early and the gentlemen host/manager(I assume) sat us early with no problem. Props to the interior decoration and the outside patio for eating. However, we were placed in those lovely booths facing chipotle. I think that there should be tinting on the inside or themed screens pulled down because not only do I have a bunch of people staring at my through these windows, the faux internal lighting of the mall throws off the ambiance on that section of seating. I thought I was at Friendly’s. WHICHTURNSOUT, «Friendlys» isn’t a good comparison because our waitress was not Friendly. In fact, she was either extremely new to waitressing in general, or tweeking in the back room because she showed up looking disheveled with grunted two word answers every 15+ minutes. No one explained to us the restaurant week menu was underneath and on the back of the one they gave us(literally everything is listed neatly on one side of the menu, why flip it?) — so when she showed up with water 8 minutes after being seated she just flipped the mini menu over and walked away after I inquired. Then she came back to ask for our drinks another 6 – 7 minutes later. *Note: 4 stars for the drinks here, and I would approve the Happy Hour. Had the Bourbon Iced Tea and it was very good.* The food came out rather quickly but didn’t look like much more than a chicken pot pie turned over on my plate. What I ordered was $ 35 on the main menu just for the entrée. For that pricing, even at a chain restaurant, I expect it to be presented better. I mean you can look at the pictures on Unilocal and see. I’m not sure why the spinach is sitting in the mashed potatoes but it is. Just some techniques to teach the kitchen staff, is all. Easily remedied. Once the food came out THEWAITRESSNEVERCAMEBACK. What? My drink was already empty by the time the main course came — You darn well better believe I wanted to change the course of my drink to match my entrée. But no. I drained my ice water, let the ice melt, and drank that too. We were done with our plates before she came back again. Overall, the appetizer menu is weak and uninventive — think Red Robin/Blue2o. The entrée’s will be tasty but I felt the same quality could be had at Red Lobster, for $ 8-$ 10 less. Or if you really want some flavor go to Outback. Actually, even Red Robin compares looking at the overall menu options. Basically, I did not feel Firebirds had a niche in the steak chain restaurant business as far as food goes. +Desserts +Drinks + Happy Hour +Outdoor Seating +Lunch menu: probably good looking at the pricing and tastiness of the burger/salad combos +Host/Manager +Families, Parties, Afterwork, Bar Seating –Booth seating by the mall wall –Our waitress –Food presentation –Weak dinner appetizers(okay for bar food) -$ 60 a person($ 15 app, $ 5-$ 7 soup or salad, $ 18-$ 50 entrée, $ 6 extra sides, $ 8 dessert, drinks $ 8-$ 15)

First things first, I think the most important feature to note about Firebirds is the butter knives. Or the lack thereof, rather! Not a single butter knife to be seen. Just forks and steak knives; the way I like my steakhouses. Now onto the actual restaurant. I was incredibly impressed with the wait staff. We went for a big family birthday dinner for Mrs. M, and they knew we had a very large party, close to a dozen or so, so they had 2 to 3 people take care of us the entire time. Very friendly and very knowledgeable. Firebirds served one of the best complimentary breads I’ve had at a steakhouse. The bread itself was delicious, with a wonderful dusting of flour and corn(?). Not positive what it was, but it provided a crispiness to compliment the softness of the bread. I would ordinarily mention that they were a little slow to refill our water, but being that it was a steakhouse, there was no need/room for water. They even got the entire restaurant staff to sign a happy birthday card for Mrs. M! How sensitive and caring. But not sensitive to the point of using butter knives. Keep that nonsense at home. Great job guys!

I’ve been to a few different FireBird locations, and was so happy to see one opened at the Moorestown Mall. Luckily, my mother was happy too and decided that’s where she wanted to go for her birthday. We made reservations for 11 on a Monday night at 6:30. When we arrived our table was ready for us, menus were handed out, and drinks and bread brought to the table. We were given two waitresses to accommodate the large group which I thought was great. We started out with the onion rings and two lobster spinach queso. Both were delicious, and if I was the only person at the table I could have finished them myself. The queso came with warm chips and had more than enough for the dip to chip ratio. For the main course I ordered the Blue Cheese Filet which was wrapped with bacon and topped with a blue cheese and small mushrooms. This was my first time having it, and it was to die for. The meat was cooked perfectly and the sauce was so delicious– maybe Firebirds can bottle it up an sell it? Firebirds does offer a few happy hour specials which are run daily. Firebirds also runs a Wine Down Monday where some of the wines are half price. And make sure to sign up for the email club, as they sometimes offer specials. Overall Firebirds has a great atmosphere, delicious food and outstanding service.

Last night, we visited firebirds for my moms birthday dinner. There was a fairly large group of us(about 11), so we had two waitresses. Both were attentive and friendly. They were very accommodating with all of our requests. For appetizers we had the onion rings and the Lobster Spinach Queso. Both were extremely delicious. For dinner, I ordered the Blue Cheese Filet. The filet accompanied with blue cheese, mushrooms and bacon, which was very good. The bacon was tiny and I didn’t even realize it was on the filet at first. All the people I was with were very happy with their meals including the coconut shrimp and ribeye. Instead of ordering the regular steak fries, I recommend the sweet potato fries. They are pretty tasty and waffle shaped! We didn’t order desert(had cake at home for my moms birthday!), but overall it was a great meal. I plan on going back soon.

We went here for happy hour yesterday and was very impressed! They have great drink specials and all their speciality cocktails are $ 5. I got the raspberry peach margarita. We got some apps to share: ranch rings, crispy mahi tacos, crispy chicken tenders, and tenderloin sliders. Every dish was so good and worth the calories! We’ll definitely be back.

I had high hopes for this place, but sadly I was disappointed. Great interior and atmosphere, but I’d say that’s all this place has going for it. I went last night with 3 others. We started off with some drinks. I ordered a glass of Merlot because I figured it would complement my meal. This is key later. Firstly, I ordered the filet kabob done medium rare, which is supposed to come with vegetables and mashed potatoes. I asked to have a baked potato with the toppings on the side and I was assured that wouldn’t be a problem. Another person in my party asked to have a different side as well. The waiter brought bread and after the butter supply was extinguished we asked for more butter, which didn’t come until much later when nobody was eating bread anymore and only after we had three other problems come up during the course of the meal. Food comes out, and my order is half wrong. They gave me the filet with a baked potato instead of the filet kabob with baked potato. The other person in my party received her side prepared incorrectly. I waited for our server to come back and when he did I said, «Excuse me, this isn’t what I ordered. I ordered the filet kabob.» He said«well, at least they got the baked potato right.» I agreed that they did and then said«I would really like what I ordered, please.» He told me it would be maybe 15 minutes for the kitchen to correct the mistake and I said I would wait. He took my plate back to the kitchen. Not even five minutes later a woman who we all assumed was the manager came over and offered me a salad while I waited. I said no thanks, I really just want what I originally ordered. She said, «oh, you didn’t change your mind?» Um. What? Who told her I changed my mind? Since when is wanting what I originally ordered«changing my mind?» This was the first time I have EVER sent my food back because it was wrong. She looked stunned and I repeated«I just want what I ordered – the filet kabob.» Everyone at my table is nearly done eating and my redone meal finally showed up. The manager brought it over and then asked me to cut into the filet, presumably to make sure I’m satisfied with it. I cut into it and this filet was overcooked. It was more like medium well than medium rare, and I said as much. I told her, «this is more like medium well. I ordered medium rare. This isn’t correct. At this point I’ve already waited long enough and everyone else here is already finished eating, so I’ll just deal with it, but this is NOTCORRECT.» Her response? «I’m speechless! I’m sorry.» Yeah, well, I’m shocked more people in this place on a busy Saturday night after Christmas aren’t getting terribly cooked filets too. Who asks for a FILET done medium well anyway? For the price of nearly $ 30 I am not expecting my food to taste like a steak from Applebee’s. Meanwhile the server had asked us numerous times if our drinks were correct… like waaaaaaaay too many times. I nearly said«if you want us to find more things to complain about come back in a few minutes,» but I didn’t because 1) he’s just the server and 2) this whole thing wasn’t entirely his fault. After I got my SECOND plate that was also WRONG, the server came by and said dessert was on them. Everyone at my table, including me, said no thanks. We made it perfectly clear that we did not want pity dessert, but they brought it anyway. Gee, thanks for the non apology in the form of food we didn’t want nor ordered. They ended up comping my meal. For $ 161 not including my $ 27 entrée that was wrong twice and the fact that saying«no dessert please» means«bring two desserts anyway» it was totally not worth it. I don’t live in this area so I won’t be back, but everyone I know in this area WON’T be returning, or going there at all. Bye Firebirds.

Ran into these folks with a few of their samples at a recently attended event. We sampled a variety of meats & vegetables on skewers, served over au’gratin potatoes — it was a unique and clever take on a convenient and delightful sample. If the food was delicious enough the staff offering them was equally warm and appealing. Cyndi is a glowing personality who made a visit to this restaurant sound like an invitation to see long lost family — we really look forward to visiting the restaurant and exploring some of the menu options she discussed with us. Well done Firebirds!
