Chicken Express

I just went to this Chicken Express in Moore Oklahoma that I’ve had problems that before and I called talk to the district manager of this restaurant and didn’t even come out to talk to me so I call the owner and try to get ahold of I think her name is Missy I ordered a number 1 with mashed potatoes and I wanted a side order of okra and macaroni and cheese with an extra biscuit didn’t even get it I would advise people not to ever go to this restaurant thank you. i’m writing this review for someone else they state the chicken was nasty and okra was gross! Will not be back!

This place is hit or miss depending on the day and what you order. My fiancé loves coleslaw, but I don’t eat it. He says that sometimes it’s good and sometimes you can tell that it’s old. Last time we ordered lunch, we both got chicken strip dinners. He got coleslaw and I got mac n cheese for sides. His coleslaw was fine, but my mac n cheese was served in a container smaller than the containers they serve gravy in. Their fried chicken is good and the mashed potatoes are good too.

At this location the food is better than the employees attitudes and service. It’s to bad too, this location is a hinge point of my work travels and I would like to frequent it more often. But they leave you sitting at the order screen for three+ minutes waiting to just order a drink when there is only one other car in their drive through (already at the window) @ 5pm on a Saturday! They got my drink wrong last weekend (it was the only thing I ordered), I returned for them to correct it and they offered absolutely no apologies and acted as if I was an annoyance for returning! Additionally, they never give napkins with any of my food orders. Needless to say, if you’re not in a hurry, don’t mind getting the incorrect ordered items or greasy fingers when you drive and have an appreciation for customer service with attitude, then this location is great for you!
The Norman location, however, has wonderful service and good food every single time!

If you want ok chicken and HORRIBLE customer service, then this place is for you. Unfortunately the quality has gone down and after my husband and I were basically accused of trying to get something for free then told by their carhop lead, after we showed him the mistake, «we screwed up but I’m going to let it slide». Really? You’re going to charge me for something when I can clearly show you we did not receive it AND paid for it, you’re going to let it slide? How magnanimous of you. I will never be back again and will make sure everyone I know is aware of just how horrible their customer service is.

For fast food and chicken this place is slowly becoming an addiction. There chicken fingers are fresher than any other place around. Throw some serendipity sprinkles on it or the dipping gravy and is instant yum.

If you don’t have high expectations you should be fine. The chicken quality is a little greasy, I’m sure it could be worse though. You can select your own piece of chicken will get you enough for your money. The regular sides shouldn’t even be an option, they’re inadequate. Sweet tea and ice; no. Ice and sweat tea. Request light ice and you may not experience this. It’s fast food. Still leaves you with the resentment of shoving shitty food in your belly.

Super friendly employees, chicken was juicy, they let me do half gizzards and half lived for my order, and food was simple and good.

I love Chicken Express, but just don’t go often enough. I do believe the chicken is cooked to order so you may have to wait a few extra minutes for it… but it’s so worth the wait! It’s nothing like KFC at all and is just good fried chicken. Today I tried the catfish combo. It may have been extra good because I was hungry, but it’s definitely not as good as the chicken. The sweet tea speaks for itself… I LOVE IT! If it came in 5 gallon buckets, I would buy it, along with an extra long straw! I also love that they do support all 3 local high schools, unlike some other local businesses who are VERY partial to one but not the others, even if a school isn’t in their zone.

For fast food chicken, this is my place to go when I am in Moore. I love that their batter is so light. It is not breaded (like KFC), but is very light and crispy. They have very large chicken tenders. Their mashed potatoes are good, as well as their hot biscuits and rolls. My mom loves their sweet tea. Almost everything here is fried. They also have catfish and chicken livers.
We usually eat inside in the dining room. It is simply decorated, but is nice for a fast food restaurant. They have a strong community spirit with memorabilia from local high schools, a community board, and a young crowed that frequents the restaurant. I wish they would keep the dining room a bit cleaner though. There is often several uncleaned tables, and floor can be pretty nasty.

Simple and good. Chicken tenders and sides. Try it all with the «Hot Serendipity». Fantastic!
