This was my first time to the Wisdom Tea House and it was just great. The service was second to none and we met the owner who was just very nice to us. The pastries that we had were superb and the tea was great. They even give you a little timer, so that you steep your particular tea the right amount of time. You also get to pick your own tea cup before you go to your table. Just an overall great experience and you should stop by when in Monument, CO.

Wow, what a great little place. They have a great selection of teas and other beverages, plus some good looking food choices. My wife’s favorite part was picking out a little tea cup and saucer from the shelf for her hot beverage — I think this kind of thing is probably what little girls are imagining when they have tea parties with their stuffed bears. The weather was beautiful so we opted to sit outside, which was a great choice. The patio is beautiful and very well landscaped. The tea, flowers, and sunshine made for a wonderfully relaxing afternoon. One thing that’s a little odd is that they close at 4pm. It’s a pity, since they even have a bunch of string lights all around outside. Spending some late evenings on that lovely patio would be great. But still, I loved this place and would certainly return.

Monument is quickly out stripping Colorado Springs as the place to go for clean, quaint, and scrumptious non-corporate food without the crowds or legions of homeless. Wisdom is in a pleasant building with a nice healthy mix of food, tea, and French press coffee. The outside patios are walled in and beautifully landscaped… lots of flowers. The food might look sort of tea shopesque, but it is fully satisfying to the steak and potatoes palette.

What a charming spot in downtown Monument. We stopped here looking for lunch on the way to Colorado Springs and had such a nice surprise. You feel like you have been invited over to someone’s house for afternoon tea. Really friendly staff and a nice selection of soups, salads and sandwiches for lunch. The gluten free lemon cake is the best GF dessert I think I have ever had!

this is easily the best restaurant historic old town monument has to offer. from the tea to the pastries, to the salads and sandwiches– 5 stars, delish! plus the atmosphere inside is so cozy and quaint, and in the summer, the patio is prime. never disappointed!

Extremely cute and full of character! The Wisdom Teahouse is by far one of the best eateries in Monument. Their assortment of teas is superb and I love their teacup collection(you get to pick your own)! The food is tasty and the staff are very friendly.

I really love this place! I moved here about 7 months ago from Illinois and have been having such a hard time finding places I really love for both the environment and the food. Wisdom Tea House is definitely a new favorite! My friend took me to Wisdom Tea House right when we moved here and we sat upstairs and I loved my scone and tea. It feels so fancy, comforting and special to pick your own tea cup for your tea– it’s a really nice idea they had to offer that. It’s a great place for a slow conversation. For some reason Monument felt so far of a drive from the Springs but I went back to meet someone for lunch here today and it only took 20 minutes! The first time I visited Wisdom Tea House I got the Waldorf Salad and though it was good I think it felt too healthy for me with how it was prepared and plated(that’s bad to admit, isn’t it?!?) I do remember really enjoying the scone with the clotted cream and jam. Today I ordered half a club sandwich with the red pepper mayo which I absolutely loved– the red pepper mayo was crazy good and really brought the sandwich together with a really nice zing– and I’m someone who always says«no mayo» on every sandwich I order! I also had their tomato garlic soup and it’s the best soup I’ve found in the area so far. I had to ask how often they have it so I can come back and get it again, and they said they have it almost every day! Today they ran out after a while because they said everyone ordered it– it’s really that good. I love their tea menu and today had the Razmatazz iced tea which was tasty. My friend had the chicken salad and thought it was great– it sounds unique with pineapple and dill. I like that they have half sandwich and soup or salad combinations so you can sample more things. Everyone working was very pleasant and it’s just a really comfortable and classy(but not too fancy and stuffy) atmosphere(with really great food and drinks). I look forward to visiting more often!

Love this cute little place in downtown Monument and would go there often the four years we lived in town! Love the jasmine tea/lemonade and the chicken salad as a salad or a sandwich! Definitely my favorite when I would go but everyone else I went with always enjoyed whatever they ordered as well! Good customer service and nice employees! Parking can be a bit tricky and is not a kid-friendly place but worth it!

It is rare to see tea crafted well while simultaneously educating the customer. It’s the little things that make the difference, the owners care about every little detail. They care about the vessel from which you enjoy your tea, featuring numerous porcelain cups for you to choose. Sending a tea timer with every pot to ensure a good steep, the servers are happy to educate you on tea steep times and what makes a good tasting cup. With a wide selection of teas and brunch items you are sure to find something that you will enjoy. Not only is the tea quality fantastic, I was also very impressed with the food. Each item had a gourmet twist: I especially recommend the bacon quesadilla. As far as ambience and atmosphere, the house is casual and homey. The perfect place to relax. Thank you Wisdom Tea House for exceeding all my expectations!

My wife and I had afternoon tea for our fifth anniversary here, and everything was incredible. The teas were high quality and delicious, and the food was outstanding. The workers were very knowledgeable, taking time to tell us about each item – and they were also quite friendly. Definitely worth the money. This is sure to be a place we revisit for special occasions!

What a unique find while driving around looking at homes for sale. Historic downtown Monument reminds me of a small scale Grapevine, Texas — just a one street strip of nice shops and good eats. There was a beer festival going on and some great music, but then we spotted the Wisdom Tea House and had to give it a try. Love the way you walk up to the counter, place your order, are given a number for your table, and then pick out your own special tea or coffee cup from the lovely cupboard! Lots of beautiful china to choose from or maybe a large Italian-style cup is «You.» Whatever you want, just pick yours and then find a table. You can site in the Victorian sitting room with fireplace, the general public table/chairs grouping or check out the garden outside! We chose the garden because it was a beautiful day, flowers were still in bloom, trees were beginning to turn yellow and we could hear the music from the festival. So, this time round, we had the chai latte tea, a small pot of French pressed coffee and shared a slice of delicious carrot cake. YUM. The only suggestion I would have is the cake was melting. It really needed to be kept in the cooler location. We also noticed they serve breakfast & lunch, so we checked out the menu. I can’t wait to return… I’m a huge fan of chicken salad sandwiches and the BLT looked oh so yummie. Lots of great items to choose from. And, then we spotted, towards the bottom of the menu, the statement of well-behaved, quiet & supervised children being welcome, but the establishment is for adults. We almost did a yippeeeee right then and there, which would have really been out of place in this setting! It was such a pleasant experience in the cozy garden with everyone chatting quietly or reading a book. Just a lovely place to visit and I can’t wait to return! And, now my Scottish hubs finally has a tea shoppe to frequent where they also serve«High Tea» — hubby is over the moon with delight!!! Great day, great find! Love The Wisdom!

Wisdom Tea House is the gold standard, or at least should be, for mom & pop businesses and service. I’ve never once been dismayed by how the owner or employees have treated us. The prices are reasonable and the homemade food is excellent! Two food suggestions: the hot chocolate tea(tea steeped in hot chocolate. Recommend the vanilla tea). And, the breakfast«quesadilla»(really a grilled burrito, but I’m not complaining. Get it with sausage!) Oh, a 3rd food suggestion… Scones.

What a find! On the way back to Denver decided to get some caffeine. Because I didn’t see Starbucks right away, decided to look on Unilocal and was fortunate to find Wisdom. What someone wrote about the brownie is totally true — best brownie ever: full flavored and rich. The very friendly barista explained that the«cereal» bar is a home creation and thanks to its unique style another winner. The list of teas is very comprehensive and took me right back to memory lane when I used to scour tea shops in NYC. I had the Imperial Gunpowder and it was very good. Two separate sitting areas, one with a sofa and fire place complement and stylish tea bar area. The patio with flowers and several tables makes for a romantic outdoor setting. Compact, Wisdom Tea House is still spacious and may be easy to drive by because of the garden wall. Next time I’m in the area I will definitely be back.
