My first time ever encountering a rude trader joes employee was just now. The brunette girl with I think some blue and pinkish dye in her hair is pretty rude. Very sarcastic, condescending, and not helpful when I asked about cash back. I get it we all have bad days and morning but you’re at work and I come to trader joes actually looking forward to all the employees who smile at me and jump to help me any chance they get. Not a pleasant experience and I think she should be more self conscious of how she talks to customers.

Very please with this location in Montrose! Great selection of items, helpful and professional staff, and enthusiastic employees. Enjoy shopping from here. This store is my daily stop!

Disgusting restroom! Usually Trader Joe’s restrooms are cleaner than other supermarket’s. But this restroom was seriously dirty. The staff here must not keep up on the cleaning like they are supposed to. If they can’t keep the restroom clean, which is seen by the customers, what are the other areas like?

I live in Glendale now(used to live in Pasadena), and this is one of my favorite Trader Joe’s in the area to go to. Unlike the one at Glenoaks and Brand in Glendale, they have an Express Checkout lane for those of us who only buy a few items at time. The store seems to always be well stocked, it’s a good size store, and the employees are always helpful if one has a question. The store is so popular the parking lot gets full at times, however there is also street parking in the area and a short walk is good for ya :) Highly recommended!

I can’t believe how pressed the white bald cashier got when you walked behind him in a specific cashier isle. They need to either block off the section or put a sign up because the first time he told me I said okay because I thought he meant that wasn’t an entrance. Then I exited and he gave me a little sarcastic sass and that honestly pissed me off. Next time block the section off because a basket with chocolate in it isn’t going to stop people from using that as an entrance or exit. Update: People use exits to enter grocery stores especially if the parking lot is right in front of it.

I like this Trader Joes and have started to frequent this one lately. The parking here is good and the nice thing is that they always have such a variety. I like that this Trader Joes usually has what I’m looking for, and on top of that its just really a nice spacious Trader Joes. I feel like some of the other locations are just too small. But I really do like this location. The workers are friendly. The only thing that IRKS me is having to pay for bags when most other locations do it for free.

The fruits and vegetable stock is just subpar. They dont have much variety compared to the size of the store. My overall experience is so-so. I would have given 3 stars but decided to deduct 1 star because of the service. Staff are not friendly here with the exception of 1 Englishman. I used to blame myself for receiving this unwanted service. Maybe I didnt seem friendly or approable. But after making the best effort to seem more gregarious to the staff, I still received the same service: no eye contact, no smile, no small talk, etc.

I’ve shopped at various Trader Joe’s around Los Angeles and this is probably one of the worst ones I’ve been to so far. I kept getting the impression that the employee’s were stalking me throughout the store. I’d just finished my laundry run so I was in extra casual mode. I was perusing items in the isles looking for something interesting. I felt uncomfortable the entire time I was in the store. It’s probably because they don’t want me spending my money there. I promise — I won’t spend a penny in your store ever again. Sadly, the fruit and veg in this store is sub-par compared to other places, there was a very limited selection of items on the shelves even though the place has so much floor space. The parking is horrific because people don’t seem to have any courtesy to allow others to exit from the parking spaces. There seems to be a serious problem with products and logistics at this location. I picked up something, paid for it, and got out of there as quickly as possible. Fortunately this location is off my usual shopping route so skipping it is easy.

Do not shop here for«fresh» produce. Came here on a Sunday night, noticed that almost all the salad greens were old. Bought some cucumbers and fruit, thinking it would be okay, came home and they were also bad. I don’t trust the freshness of their produce. On a good note, the employees were friendly.

Rude and aggressive employees that walk through the store like they own the place. Won’t be back.

This is by far the best #traderjoes I have shopped at. Plenty of parking, I think that says it all. #montrose

Much larger than the one in La Canada. I like this parking lot better because not congested like the one in La Canada. Usual great tasting food.

Came to this location on a previous LA trip to get some coconut and my favorite granola cereal for a healthy breakfast at the hostel. Better prices than in Vancouver for organic and comparable to my regular TG’s in WA state.

I have made this my primary Trader Joe’s because of Lisa Ruezga! I can certainly declare that she is the nicest, kindest, most attentive, generous trader joes staff member I’ve ever met… and I sure have been to a lot of locations! She goes out of her way to find me the items that I’m looking for and advise me to try new ones… and every time I try one of her suggestions, I’m hooked. Her customer service skills are so superior and always excellent, I personally feel like I’m at home. What really impressed me about her service is that when i came the second time to this location, she knew my name!!! She’s just so sweet with everyone as she’s offering samples… this girl has a lot of patience and love for what she does! Trader Joes is lucky to have her!!!

At first, we had a hard time finding this relatively new Trader Joe’s in Montrose, until we reached the end of Honolulu Avenue. It is super clean, but lacks enough parking for patrons. It seems bigger than some of the local Trader Joe’s I’ve been to, but I think this is the new standard for their buildings. I feel the store fits the neighborhood, and is probably super convenient for the firefighters who live at the station across the street.

I love Trader Joes, but I don’t love this particular location. I went today with my friend and her two kids & didn’t have the best experience. For one, my 2 year old«nephew» wanted some juice(there were samples) & it was obvious he was waiting but the employee just ignored us. I had to ask for it & she just kind of gave me this stern look. I must be spoiled by TJ… I’m used to it being like a grocery store version of Disneyland. These were the most unfriendly TJ employees I have ever encountered. Even at the register, the person ringing us up was treating my 2 year old nephew like he was a bother — telling him in a somewhat joking manner to hurry it up with his little mini cart. I don’t know… it could’ve just been a bad day. If I wasn’t such a huge fan of the chain store, I would probably never come back to this particular locations Pros: parking, great/affordable products, wide variety of original products Cons: this location doesn’t have the typical friendly TJ employees that I normally enjoy interacting with. Tip: go to another TJ if you can~

I really like this TJs! Like all TJs the parking lot sucks and seems to be filled with people with a really low IQ, but luckily they have a large parking lot so it’s not that bad. The store itself is very nice and the staff are always super nice and helpful. I had several of them come up to me while shopping today to ask if I needed any help, which I appreciate. Thanks guys!

How can you go wrong with Trader Joes? The hometown feel the place gives you with super knowledgable staff members. Gotta love the items you can only find here like Cookie Butter, Maple Leaf Cookies, Charles Shaw, Blueberry and vanilla goats milk cheese, TJ Pizza Dough and TJ Orange Chicken… the list goes on and on for items you can only find here. The prices are reasonable also. If you haven’t gone to a trader joes yet, then I may look at you like you’re not of this planet. The only thing that’s holding this place back from a 5 star rating is that TJ locations need to be bigger. I’m sorry, but these places are so popular and hold only a small amount of people before you start slamming your cart into others in the aisles. This only increases my frustration levels and tests my patience like none other.

Stores like these are appreciated. Polite and helpful all-men staff. They read my mind. Well-stock, close to home and I always find the basic stuff such as my favorite chicken salad, lemon kitchen hand soap, wine and water. Always moderately crowded but fast-paced! No playing around.

I grew up on Trader Joe’s from way back… I recall they sold nuts, wine, cheese, jurice, eggs, yogart, and Toblerone! This location is a bit more than a year old moved from the Foothill Blvd location where parking wasn’t good. At this location, parking is a bit better but can still get chaotic at times. I pack lunch sometimes and TJ’s has a good selection of low cal meals from black bean enchiladas to bibimbap. Workers here are always friendly. Though the samples lady on Sunday is kinds skimpy on the portions! Overall, it’s my place to go for certain items.
