Nasty food… AVOID This place started as better buffet compared to the terrible«Jim’s Buffet» in North Wales when they opened couple of years ago. However the quality has deteriorated since and its on a downhill slope. Quality of the meats is questionable and seafood is stale. I will not go there again.

The food here is average but I wanted to share something that happned to my wife yesterday. She and my daughter went there at 3pm. So in between lunch and dinner. My wife told me they were sitting people by ethnic groups. Asians got seated in one section, hispanics another and then caucasians and others together in yet another section of the restaurant. My wife who is of middle eastern descent asked to sit down near the buffet but was told that she had to sit in the back. This just happened to be the section where people of hispanic heritage were being seated. My wife told me as it started getting busier they stopped the segregated seating. I was not there but I thought I would pass this along.

Updating because after my first review I have been encountering less than fresh food more often.

The lunch buffet was uniformly excellent, with many wonderful choices and the staff was very pleasant. They had more customers than any Chinese buffet I’ve ever been to at lunchtime, so they must be doing something right.

Been meaning to write this review. I ate here a couple of weeks ago, me and my family, and it did not hold up to the hibachi name. This place was the worst hibachi restaurant I’ve ever been to. The food was bland. They did not have a good selection of dishes. I really don’t have any other way to put it but that the food was nasty. You’d be better of saving your money and going somewhere else. The hibachi grills in the city(Philadelphia) are much better than this one.

This is a stereotypical mediocre, at best, Chinese buffet. All the food is deep fried and filled with mystery meat. Too many options not enough quality. The seafood was tiny and lacked flavor. I got shrimp covered in breading that were hard to peel and un edible. The salad bar was lacking with little lettuce and the dressings were a mystery as well. My fried rice and lo mein were salty. Lastly the Hibachi part was lacking. There is a counter you can order a customized plate but the ingredients behind the counter looked pitiful. One thing I can say is the waitress was attentive and the sushi was ok for a buffet — hard to mess up a California roll(which they make in 5 varieties). Would not recommend.

Just awful. I think they are in the way out, I have been going since opening weekend, just over 3 years ago. What it was then and is now is unreal. The place looks like a dump and the food is atrocious. I am so sad and disappointed. The empty parking lot and dining area should have been enough of a warning for me, but we ate there anyway. It was 730 pm on a week night, and the food was inedible and hard. They refused to make any new sushi and wanted us to eat old California rolls, is that even sushi? Ugh, the carpet is worn and coming up, the seats are ripped, wow, how far you have fallen in 3 years. Maybe someone will buy it and it will rise again? I’m not holding my breathe.

Very large selection of Chinese foods, Sushi, seafoods and freshly made Hibachi grill. Lots of desserts and fruits. I think this is a better than average Buffet @ &12.99 for dinner

Pretty average buffet. The prices are the best part at $ 8 for lunch, so you really can’t expect too much. I really enjoyed the specialty sushi rolls and the crab salad, everything else was really average /sub par. We went around 3 so things may have just been sitting out awhile. There is a lot of fruit and little ice cream containers which is nice. Not terrible, but nothing too special.

Usually don’t expect too much out of a Chinese buffet, so I really wanted to like this place, but there weren’t enough strong points to give it a 3 star. First — Slow with refilling buffet. I mean, really slow. Crayfish and snow crabs are a given, but even the basic chicken and beef dishes took awhile. This leads to people«camping out» at the buffet station waiting for the entrée to get brought out, which is then immediately depleted. This slowness also goes for my drink. Waitress would refill it only when I flagged her down to ask. And I had to ask often because the food was somewhat salty, which kept me parched throughout dinner. So I needed to drink often(Part of the buffet master plan???) Being a buffet, this place offers a large variety of food. So you will find something you can eat, something fresh, something lower in sodium. But if you can’t enjoy EVERYTHING, well that defeats the purpose of a buffet, doesn’t it? One saving grace for this place was that the staff was nice. Very nice actually. And the space is huge. Plenty of room for a party, maybe even a small wedding! Planning on having your wedding reception here? Congratulations on true love, but my RSVP card will have a checkmark next to ‘unable to attend.’

I went into this place on invitation and I was expecting the worst after reading the Unilocal reviews and seeing the 2.5 Don’t worry, this place is far better than the 2.5 it currently stands at. The food is decent. Its at least on par with other Chinese buffets in the area. It definitely lacks in variety, but what they do have isn’t bad, and considering the low price, you won’t feel ripped off. I won’t go as far to recommend this place, but I will say if you’re considering eating here and its not out of your way, don’t let the Unilocal reviews scare you. Its not that bad.

My family came here for New Year dinner. They are advising for lobster buffet. The lobster meat that they served are soft and fall apart. It tasted like they were serving died lobster. They are very stingy with their foods. Had to wait more than 20 minutes for a fish dish to bring out from the kitchen. Also, their snow legs are very salty. Overall, I will not recommend this place and will not go back again.

So I’m not looking for much when I go to a Chinese buffet. At least get the staples of these places right, and add in a few interesting choices to set yourself right. That said they do that, and the price is right. But, and here’s the big butt, I don’t normally get sick from going to Chinese buffets. The first time I went I made it back home and in the door when my stomach started gurgling. Second time on the way home it started turning. The third time though, halfway through my second plate and I found myself rushing for the bathroom. It wasn’t just me either, but the people I were with just couldn’t eat that much of the food. I don’t even know if it was any particular food, as we all had different stuff. I just wouldn’t recommend it at all. If you desperately need Chinese, go to Jim’s or Noborou’s. There’s a price difference and less of a selection, but I’ve never gotten sick at either place. I won’t be going back.

I’m giving it an extremely generous 3 stars, because my wife think its ok. Personally I never want to go here, but she craves crappy chinese buffet once in a while and I’m forced to go. If you know what to get, its not the worst. The saving grace is the hibachi grill for which it is named. If your significant other or coworker drags you here, I recommend ONLY eating this. If you eat any of the other food, this will be a 1 star place for you.

The quality and variety is far better than most typical buffets. We really loved the sushi and the atmosphere was pleasant. Can’t wait to go back!

The place was okay and food was good and it did have a lot of room(seating). I didn’t try the hibachi, but my partner did and loved it(had 2 plates). I stayed in the buffet section, which was good and the seafood was tasty. My favorite part of the buffet was the dessert. I love the apple pie with vanilla ice cream… Yummy. The staff was blah, they really didn’t care about the type of service they were giving.

Why oh why do people keep taking me to these places? This is the last buffet that I will go to for the rest of my duration in Philly. This place was the last straw. From here on out, I am going to make a stand. A stand against cheap(quality) food. Getting diarrhea isn’t just an anomaly eating at one of these shit holes. It’s just a given unless your body has gotten so used to it that you shit nuclear waste every time after you eat at one of these establishments. Also if you come here, accept that you’ll gain a few pounds just in salt which will equate to life-long regret. I give all of these hell-hole buffets two stars. The one stars are reserved for those with bad food and terrible service. Service here is bad but I can’t blame the workers who have to be constantly clearing plates, cleaning up messes, for close to no pay and tip. But if you decide to come here, and feel sick afterwards, don’t say you weren’t warned. There are only a few buffets that I will enjoy and want to go to and most(if not all of them) are in the Los Angeles /Orange County /Las Vegas area. Parking: Large lot for large cars Wait: None Price: You’ll pay a lot more for it later

Stopped by recently and would have to say, they have upped their game in the chinese buffet arena. The service has improved tremendously. Their hibachi seemed to be much much better than the last time we stopped by as well. So, yeah, they’ve got me hooked. This is the place to go for some budget friendly quality chinese buffet.

I haven’t written a review for a buffet in a long time, so I had to re-read my 5-star review of Easton Buffet to re-gain the perspective that I usually have about good Asian(Chinese/Japanese) buffets. I have a quote from that review: «Buffets are truly meant to get your taste buds constantly satisfied for a fraction of the cost of a non-buffet restaurant. Easton Buffet, you rock!» — there needs to be an emphasis on this note, because, to me, it rings true. You can’t complain about a cost per-person of a buffet, unless it’s trying to sell itself as the best. ever! Easton Buffet’s cost per-person at dinner time was actually HIGHER than that at Hibachi Grill… so that’s another piece of information that’s important to note. Not all buffets are equal. Hibachi Grill is one of the closest buffets near 19002 besides King Buffet in Plymouth Meeting(how is it, these days? I loved being there…8 years ago lol), so, already, my expectations keep me enthusiastic about trying out this place. In addition, my talented cook of a mother of mine had been to Hibachi Grill on a separate occasion for dinner, and said that they actually served more fish dishes and seafood dishes than Easton Buffet did… and she claimed that they were properly made. Done deal! Off the family went for a dining experience at Hibachi Grill! I commend Hibachi Grill for being as different as possible with their food. I loved the hibachi station the most(hehe, the name speaks for itself, then! yay!), because, seriously, having the food freshly prepared in front of you is almost always satisfying even by just looking at it. I would say that the duck, the fish, and the rest of the seafood were, hands down, memorable in a good way :-) Kudos to being different, Hibachi Grill! So, why the 3 stars? Honestly, the food may have been memorable, but only as facts and not as flavors that I wish I still had in my mouth. It truly was«A-OK»! Hibachi Grill will satisfy your buffet craviings, no worries! Thanks, Hibachi Grill!

I’ve been here a couple of times with my parents and the food here is ok but not great. It is located on 309 right by the Honda dealership in Montgomeryville. It can be a little tricky to get in if you are traveling southbound so your best bet is to enter the place going northbound on 309. Exiting the place will only get you heading northbound on 309 and it can be a little tricky to check to see if the traffic is clear to get back on 309. As for the food, it’s better than some of the other chinese buffets that are in the area but it’s not great. The sushi was ok but I have seen more variety at other buffets. The hibachi station was also ok but nothing like a proper hibachi restaurant. There are quite a few food stations but not as much variety as the size of the place would suggest. There are plenty of seats available for dining. There is even an area where it seems that you can have a private party but might just serve as an overflow area for customers. Being that the place is still fairly new, it’s still clean. Hopefully it stays that way as the place stays open. And yes, this place is wheelchair accessible. Prices do vary between lunch and dinner and are reasonable. Overall, it’s not a bad place; however, if I had a craving for really good sushi or hibachi, I would go to a proper place.
