The Naked Turtle Tavern

Had a good time in the place until i asked the kareoke dj on saturday night to play me a song and he told me that he had it and would play it. About 30 to 45 minutes later i walked up to him and asked him when he was going to play it and he told me he didnt have it. I had already spent about $ 100 in drinks when i asked him the 2^nd time. During the conversation all i said was” you are unable to play a song at the request of a cistomer? What kind of dj are you? I pointed at a sheet of paper on the front of his song boom and read the words he had typed on the paper. The words read «i have all music available if you find one i dont have i will play it from youtube. right after i said this he yelled out to the bouncer «get this man and escort him out of the bar» i was greeted by the doorman and manager and asked to leave. I tried to explain to them what had happened and they basically told me go $#@£ myself you are banned for life. I HAVE NEVER BEEN BANNED FROM A PLACE FOR ASKING A DJ TO PLAY MY SONG. BE AWARE DONT GO TO THIS PLACE EXPECTING TO REQUEST A DJ TO PLAY YOUR SONG BECAUSE HE THINKS HE OWNS THE BAR AND WILL LIE AND HAVE YOU KICKED OUT FOR QUESTIONING HIM. LIKE I SAID MOST BARS IVE BEEN IN THE DJ PROVIDES TO THE CUSTOMER, IN THIS PLACE ITS THE OTHER WAY AROUND WHERE THE DJ THINKS HE OWNS THE BAR. WHAT A PLACE! if you have any questions message me i will answer any questions about the place. All i have to say is that it was very embarassing to have my family of 5 kicked out and banned from the place for asking the dj to play a song twice.

Great fun, diverse mix of people. Not a dive, just a great local bar with friendly staff that really do know your name. Karaōke is super with a wonderful DJ that manages to make even those that can’t carry a tune in a bucket sound good. You MUST be 21+ to get in and they check ID, a good thing in my opinion.

It’s hard to beat 2 dollar well drinks for Ladies’ night on Wednesday, they also have karaōke. It does have a neighborhood bar feel to it. Everyone seems to know everyone, but they all are quite nice.
The karaōke had a decent selection and sometimes do double rounds which I hadn’t really seen done before.
All and all, I would probably go back.
