I read reviews of the place and a bunch talked about the unmotivated and lazy staff. I talked to a leasing consultant, Bruce, about it on my tour and he basically told me it was because people did not want to pay their rent and took it out on the staff in the reviews. Well I have lived here for 2 months and I have to say that is not the case. I pay my rent on time every month yet when something goes wrong with my apartment the leasing center staff are rude, uninterested, defensive, and just plain lazy. I have delt with the same woman twice and been met with these qualities both times. Today my a/c went out for good.(It had been on the fritz for several weeks prior.) We put in a maintenance request and the maintenance guy responded very quickly but he is overworked and they pull him in 37 different directions so I’m sure it is impossible for him to get anything done. Last night I put in an emergency maintenance request for the a/c and Freddie called me immediately and said he would be there at 8:30 am the next morning. He didn’t show up as planned and so I called the leasing office. The rude leasing consultant answered and in the most condescending way possible told me she would talk to him about it.(Making it sound like it was his fault he was not there yet) on my way to work, I pass him picking up trash so I call the office again and the same woman who couldn’t care less picked up. I asked why he was picking up trash instead of responding to my maintenance request and she told me that he was responsible for cleaning the grounds before anything since he was the only person there today. I asked why that takes precedence over an emergency maintenance issue and she told me that it has to be 85 degrees inside of my apartment until it was considered an emergency. This is a horrible policy(if it is an actual policy). And I think this property manager needs to seriously reevaluate his/her priorities because high overturn in an apartment complex is not the best business model. It’s not fiscally responsible, it’s not ethical, and it’s just not right to lure people in and then treat them horribly.
