The Flower Market

This is the first time I visited this business Marilyn was great very helpful I just wanted a couple of roses in a vase. She added other color to it and looked beautiful my girlfriend loved it, it has a photo of jimmy Hendrix walking past the shop that caught my attention. Will come back again, very reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

My grandparents surprised me with a peace lily plant today! They had accidentally given my address to the market with one number wrong. The delivery man still found me and delivered the flowers all within half an hour of my grandparents’ call! I immediately called to thank my grandparents, and they couldn’t believe how fast they were delivered. They were happy, and I love my giant, healthy peace lily plant :)

Marilyn was wonderful, and my flowers for the wedding were perfect. She didn’t send me any pictures of samples ahead of time, but I trusted her. When we met, she described her vision for my wedding (based on what I told her we were going for), and it sounded like it was precisely what we wanted. The day of, the flowers were delivered on time and beautiful! I got so many compliments on the centerpieces, my bouquet, and the flowers in my hair. All thank to Marilyn. She is also such a nice person, and I would highly recommend her! I met with a number of florists (PG florist as Swenson and Silacci were the two big names), and at the Flower Market I encountered both better customer service as well as much better pricing! It was significantly cheaper than any other place, and the outcome was just as beautiful. This is one of the vendors I used that would highly recommend to any friend without any exceptions.

Soooo disapointed! I wanted flowers delivered to my wife’s work for her birthday. The young lady that took my order was pleasant enough. I asked about purple flowers (my wife’s favorite color),. She said she had carnations, gladiolas and some others. She said purple and white would be nice. I thought purple with yellow would be better so that’s what we went with. When the flowers were delivered there were 4 YELLOW roses, 3 YELLOW carnations some small YELLOW filler flowers and a little purple status (filler). They were however in a purple vase… This sad arrangement cost me over $ 80.00! I could have got a better arrangement from Safeway for about $ 30.00. I called to complain and the woman I spoke with (I think it was the owner) argued with me saying she sent what was on the order. The only solution she could come up with was picking up the flowers and giving me a refund. Can you imagine? «Happy Birthday! I’m taking the flowers back but here’s the money» Needles to say I won’t be going back.

Great family owned shop, and the quality and prices are superb. The only place cheaper is if you get Trader Joe’s premade bouquets! The owner’s are a really nice Filipino family and we got flowers for each of my sister’s weddings and their birthday arrangements are beautiful. They make professional and sympathetic arrangements for funeral services as well.

After meeting with a few flower shops and finding the prices to be pretty high for our wedding flowers, we stopped in at The Flower Market per a family member’s recommendation. We me with Marilyn, who was so nice and accommodating. I showed her the pictures of what I was looking for and she made recommendations based on our budget. She also gave us great ideas on how to reduce our costs by partially making our own centerpieces. She never pressured us to spend more than our budget and was extremely responsive via email whenever I had a question. Not surprisingly, our flowers were beautiful. We got the bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, cake flowers, arch décor, ceremony chair flowers, and head table flowers all through The Flower Market. They even threw in a free toss bouquet! We got tons of compliments on them and were really pleased with how it brought our theme of green and yellow together. I highly recommend them for a wedding florist!
