Initially I really liked Dr. Siljander and her staff for their kindness and compassion. However, after two visits I will not return again. The first was simply a new patient consultation visit. Again, initially I was impressed by having a personal visit with the doctor but at this visit I waited for over an hour which resulted in me needing to cancel some afternoon work appointments. I had been told the visit would take 30 – 40 minutes … I was there nearly 2 hours. The second visit was for my well-woman visit. A week after the visit I received a call from the office stating my pap smear results were normal and that the staff would call in my birth control prescription refill to my pharmacy. I let this staff member know that I would pick up the prescription a few days later as I was out-of-town. The response was«No problem. The prescription will be called in and ready for you when you pick it up.» When I went into the pharmacy, there was no record of a refill. Both the pharmacy and I tried to contact the doctors office — it was a Friday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. — but the office was already closed for the day. Despite my need to restart the birth control that very day, the pharmacy stated I would have to wait until I reached the doctors office for the refill to get my prescription. As a result, I missed three days of taking birth control. Not the end of the world, of course, but I find it extremely negligent. Thank goodness it was only birth control(still a hassle, completely unprofessional, and medically negligent) and not something more serious. When discussing the situation with the office the following Monday, I barely received an apology for this huge oversight. End of story — I will not go back to this office for anything and I do not recommend it to anyone else.
