James Chu M.D.

I averaged out this rating. Dr. Chu is a 5 star doctor, but he works for a 1 star office. I have been a patient for going on 4 years now and I finally missed my first appointment. They informed me that I owed a 50 dollar no show fee. I said no problem, can I reschedule the appointment. They said no problem, we can get you in next week, but… I had to pay the no show fee before they would schedule the appointment and I could not pay them over the phone, they wanted me to take time off work, drive to their location and give them the money and then take time off work again next week for the appointment.
I like Dr. Chu, but I will be looking into getting my medication refills through my general practitioner since at this point, I know what I need and I will see Dr. Chu once a year instead of every 3 months. This decision will not effect their bottom line… money as diabetes doctors are in short supply and they will simply fill my voided appointments with some other source of revenue.
They will hold your diabetes care for ransom. I know it is not personal and neither is this review.
