BEWAREOFTAKE-OUTORDER’S!!! Last night we ordered the large pizza, chicken, & mojo’s combo. Picked it up at the time they told us to and came back home with our meal. Sadly, all of us were highly disappointed with our food. The chicken and mojo’s were old and soggy. We suspect that they gave us the left overs from their happy hour buffet that wasn’t sold and passed it on as fresh to unsuspecting TAKE-OUT customer’s. You charge us $ 38 for leftovers?! Shame on you Sharkey’s of mpk! Also the large pepperoni pizza that we got seemed like it was made with a proportions of a small pizza. Can I get some more cheese, tomato sauce and pepperoni with my dough bread?:-/ Wonder what other shenanigans they do to cut corners and cost? Anyways congrats to them for taking my $ 38. Unless they change management/owner, go somewhere else guy’s. This place is a mess.

I came here around 10 ish because this is the only shakeys pizza parlor open the latest-till 12. When we got there, there were a few people. I didnt really have to wait to order. the cashier at the register was a sweet girl. i ordered the PCM. Medium pizza with an added topping and its an additional $ 1 for pan pizza. The last time i had pizza from this place is was really good and after today it was not as good but its okay. The PCM deal which serves 4 people for 22.99 included 4 pieces of fried chicken and some mojos. Portions said to feed 4(maybe 4 people with small appetites) or two of me. The last time i had shakeys was long ago and i remembered loving it. its only okay.

I was in the mood for pizza, so we headed to Shakeys pizza parlour. But not the one in Alhambra, which is 5 blocks from my house. I like to drive out to the Shakeys in Monterey Park. The pizza tasted so much better. Just not today(5−9−16). The reason the pizza tasted so good was because you had a pizza oven. Now you have that conveyor belt and you could totally taste the difference. The crust was not as good and the mushrooms on my pizza tasted raw. What’s up with the sodas? Why did we get cheap all of a sudden? Pepsi?! Really?! I was disappointed with my experience. Will not be coming back to this Shakey’s. What for? The good tasting Pizza that came out of the pizza ovens are gone. Coca-Cola is gone. Time to look for a brand new pizza spot with a good old fashioned pizza oven. That’s what makes a great pizza crust. If I want a pizza that comes from a conveyor belt oven, I’ll just head for some cheap pizza from Costco. It’s been nice.

I I went yesterday and was disappointed I remember this place used to be good. I feel like the, quality of the food has lowered. The mojos just don’t have the same flavor and neither does the chicken. I just have fond memories of this location and it’s sad that it’s turning in this run down pizza spot.

Been coming to this Shakey’s location for at least 40 plus years, and is the only one for me and my family.

Food was great. But we went to drink beer, play arcades and eat pizza. No arcade, or section was closed. The TV was also too loud playing a recast of an earlier game. We didn’t order beer because it felt like a cafeteria. We ate our pizza quickly and left. So boring.

Ah, shakeys. You always find yourself being the center of fundraising. I really like this places bc they have good pizza, awesome papa mojos and to top it off they serve amber bock beer on tap! They have a jukebox with a decent music selection, too. Let’s not forget they have games for the kids– limited but it’s there.

This is my regular Shakey’s Pizza Parlor. It does get packed on weekends especially Sunday’s, it gets hard to find parking and tables. It gets very loud as well.

Place is alright. Staff needs an attitude check, and the carpets and game room need a serious revamping. Minus one star for those things. The food is good, I like the cheesy bread, pizza, and the mojos… overall, it’s like any other pizza place.

Dear Shakey’s, This is the best location for most items for your bunch of lunch special. The pizza, spaghetti and meat ball sauce and your mojo potatoes are the best here at this location but your chicken needs flavor? I’ve been to three different locations and I’m beginning to think it’s your recipe. I’m glad I’ve found a consistent location that serves your food the way I remember from when I was a kid. I highly recommend that eating here and avoid the Huntington Park location because it’s subpar in comparison to this one.

2 star for slow service! Placed a to go order for wings and mojis. Told me it would take 15 minutes and I waited for over 25 minutes.

This is more of a pit stop review — I wasn’t feeling this place when I arrived, but it wasn’t packed so I was ok with eating here. The food was inexpensive, but it sure did took a long time. After 45 mins of waiting, I was told that the initial pizza was burned, so they had to make another one for me. I was cool with it — I like honesty and that helped out with this review(I wanted to rate it 2 stars). The wings were over-fried and the potato wedges were too salty! I didn’t eat any of the side orders because it left a nasty aftertaste in my mouth. Anyways, pizza was average. I feel like I’ve had better pizza from Shakeys before, but this one time just didn’t taste the same. Beer selection sucks here! Overall, I paid about $ 45 for two. Meh.

Mojos(potatoes) are really good. Service was alright. They served us quickly. Can be kind of pricey, nevertheless prices affordable. The woman who took our order seemed curt. She was a middle-aged Asian woman who seemed like she did not want to be there and made me feel rushed when ordering.(there were no other customers there).

*** Pit stop review(Monterey Park) *** I had the lunch special for about $ 7. The price was great! What did I like… * Did I say the price was great? What didn’t I like… * I think the only thing I liked was the price :-) ha ha ha… * The pizza was like Chucky Cheese pizza — small, thin, and a little cardboard like. * There was little variety for a buffet. I know, I shouldn’t expect much for $ 7 :-) This was only the first time I actually ate at a Shakey’s pizza. Food = not for me. Seating area = clean Service = ok Restroom = average

Horrible service when it comes to correcting orders which were not taken correctly. Received attitude from the cashier when I informed her that the order was wrong she sat there arguing with me about how she was right and I was wrong and they made me wait another 25 – 30 minutes to correct my order while they kept handing out to other customers the type of pizza that I correctly ordered and said they had to start my order all over so my mom said just give us the pizza that was wrong so we can feed the kids, they charged us for that. We were there with our baseball team and needed to get back to the park for a game so I just thought I’d let the managers and owners know this way. Guadalupe was the cashier. The guy at the game prizes was very nice to our kids so that was the cool part Oh and they don’t have the brunch of lunch here on the weekends that sucks… would make it easier if they did

The hubby loves Mojos.(Me too!) First time we tried out the Bunch-a-Lunch buffet. Not bad! For $ 7.50, this was decent. It’s a small selection, but there was enough to satisfy both our preferences. All the fried stuff & pizza for him. Veggies, baked chicken & Mojos for me. I guess I wouldn’t mind coming back once in a great while.

I love going to any Shakey’s branch. They did a nice job revamping their image while still maintaining a friendly family vibe. It was my first time at the Monterey Park location. We went on a Thursday night and it was pretty packed. They had a good amount of parking, but we still had to wait for someone to leave to grab a spot. We ordered a medium pizza(half pepperoni/mushroom, half pepperoni/sausage/onions) and of course some mojo potatoes! The pizza was good(We got thing crust), but it was the mojo potatoes that stole the show! It might have been the best ones I have ever had. The men’s restroom was pretty small for the size of the restaurant. I’m assuming it’s the same in the ladies room. Other than that I think this location is one of the better ones in LA.

when coming here, i was expecting fast service but it took a really long time because they got my order wrong. I would not have expect that to have happened when we were were the only customers there. the only good thing that the manager did to fix that mistake was to offer us to go get salad while we waited for our order to come out. the style inside of the place was not the same as the other ones, it was western style vibe.
