Dangerous! Pokiholic is literally a few blocks away from my parents house and it doesn’t help I visit often. My sister and I would come here if we’re craving for some poke. They’re so quick, they use gloves for mixing so it’s not cross contaminating(Even if you order a few bowls) and their fish are pretty fresh. I’ve been here a few times. Didn’t realize I haven’t given a review yet. Prices: 2 scoops — $ 7.993 scoops — $ 8.99 and 5 scoops — $ 10.99 I normally get their salmon, scallops, spicy tuna, and on occasion their yellowtail.

Delicious. Fresh fish, generous portions of toppings, and the bowl overall was so worth the drive.

I was so ecstatic when I found out that there was a poke shop literally a mile(or less) from my house. Located in a plaza where CVS, MCDONALD, Daiso, and the dollar tree is located. Located on the polar opposite end of CVS away from Atlantic blvd. I have been there 2x so far and always order the same thing: 2 scoops of fish(salmon and tuna) with mild spicy sauce and Chipotle mayo. All the sides except for jalapeño and ginger. I love me some poke! 2 scoops is around $ 7.99 which is a bit pricy but it’s all around the same price everywhere. They don’t skimp out on the goodies. Will come back!!!

I was honestly skeptical about trying out this place because poki places have become such a fad many of them aren’t that wonderful. I ordered a half salad/half rice bowl with spicy tuna, yellowtail and tuna as my protein. I topped it with cucumbers, jalapeños, green onions and seaweed. To my surprise the fish tasted great. Decent scoop amounts, especially for the price you pay! Location was clean and the workers were friendly. Will definitely be returning if I’m in the area again!

To be honest, I have never liked poke. I’ve had poke at several popular places around Pasadena and I didn’t think the taste(which was bland) justified the price. I would not go out of my way to get poke… until now. Here are my thoughts in bullet points: –I ordered the 5 scoop bowl($ 10.99) with sushi rice. I instantly regretted it because there were way too many options and I had a hard time choosing. I chose salmon, yellow tail, crawfish, tuna, and scallops. Oh my god this combo worked out really well. They also offered octopus and squid salad as a protein as well! –They mix the protein with 4 different sauces in front of you and top it off with spicy mayo. There was definitely a tangy kick(and possibly some sesame oil too?) which complemented the seafood really well. I don’t know what they would call this combination of sauces, but they might as well call it ambrosia because dayum it tasted divine. –Best tasting imitation crab scoop ever. –As for the toppings, I literally asked for everything minus the jalapenos. TLDR: best poke I’ve had in the area. Definitely tops the places in Pasadena(you know which ones I’m talking about). Oh yeah — parking is PLENTIFUL and free.

I didn’t know a poke place opened up in this location in the marketplace with the Daiso. It’s on the far left side if you’re looking from Atlantic toward Daiso. Price for 2 scoops of either rice/salad is $ 7.99, which is more than enough for me and I actually need to share next time. Everything was good and you can even get the healthier rice here. Don’t expect anything fancy; if you like poke bowls, give this place a try.

It was New Years Day and I wanted to try Pokestuf on Main Street in Alhambra but it was CLOSED! So I came back here to grab some dinner and even though the guy(older Japanese dude) didn’t say much, all the ingredients were on point and the brown rice was actually fresh. Tried most of the same toppings but got crawfish instead of squid and it was yummy! Also got half salad and asked for extra seaweed. Love this place!

POKEPOKEPOKE This POKECRAZE is crazy. Poke restaurant are popping everywhere and one just popped into my home town of Monterey Park. This place used to be an old Mongolian BBQ place. Now turned POKE place i believe they are doing alot better. Service They are really nice with the portions. I always get 5 scoops of fish and brown rice. My favorite is the Salmon because they taste very fresh. Besides that they have a vast selection of other seafood. . FOOD STEP1: SELECT how many scoops of seafood you like(i go with 5) STEP2: SELECT your base. Can be brown rice white rice or salad or even chips STEP3: SELECT your seafood SALMON Crawfish, TUNA, Spicy TUNA, TOFU, SHRIMP, and even OCTOPUS,(KOREANTHING I THINK) STEP4: ADD double scoop of crab meat. avocado is a must. Step 5: DONTFORGETTHESPICYMAYOANDFURIKAKE

Heaping scoops of every kind of sea creature over rice and salad greens and all the good sushi sauces — how could you go wrong? I made a feeble attempt to finish my entire bowl of 3 scoops in one sitting, and failed. The scallops in particular were delicately sweet, soft, and melt in your mouth buttery. I also loved the bit of seaweed salad that they put in there. Also, avocado is included(unlike a similar Mexican themed burrito establishment).

Prices: 2 scoops 7.99 3 scoops 8.99 5 scoops 10.99 To me the poke here is not that great. It doesn’t meet the poke standards nowadays. Now for the really bad stuff. My friend found a piece of plastic in her food! What the heck! I was disappointed by this place.

Pokiholic… You are in big twouble! I have a lot of peeves about you and I’m not scared to tell you! Peeves(Peeves can be positives also): 1) Hi… my name is John and I am a poki-holic! You heard me loud and clear! How could you contribute to my addiction!!! 2) Sanitary much? You guys use 3 or 4 plastic gloves in one ordering process. Deeply appreciated. 3) How dare you offer nachos as the base of poke! I’m offended! You’re really awesome! 4) No additional cost for extra scoops of imitation crab and avocado. You’re no Jolly St. Nick! 5) Why are you so generous with your fish? Consumption of fish = elevated levels of cholesterol and uric acid levels. Elevated levels of cholesterol and uric acid levels = cardiovascular disease and gout. How could you contribute to that! 6) Why are you offering crawfish as your fish… You’re not Boiling Crab or Kickin’ Crab. I’m so grateful that you guys peel off the shell for for me! :) 7) Why is your sauce utterly, disgustingly good? I see you use about 4 – 6 different types of sauces to make a beautiful concoction! 8) Why can’t you say NO when I ask you for more toppings! *shakes fists* Hate you with a passion! Well you guys made quite an impression on me! Very Nice!

This place is huge. Most poki places are small whole in the wall but this place is legit. It’s super clean, modern and has many tables to dine in. Just like any other poki places you pick your size, the fish, toppings and etc. How does this place diff from other poki places??? Crawfish and octopus salad. OMG it’s delish!!! You could definitely tell it’s korean owned by the taste. What to order: Large half salad and half rice for $ 10.99. 5 scoops of fishes. 1 scoop each of spicy tuna, tuna, salmon, octopus salad and crawfish with everything and mild sauce. The rice was flavorful and fluffy. The portions are huge. The flavor is on point. You don’t have to pay extra for additional toppings nor for avocado. I asked for extra seaweed and the guy literally piled it on top of my bowl. I highly recommend this place to all the poki lovers out there. Their name def suits them. I’m a POKIHOLIC now.

Yummmmm I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while, especially as it’s fairly close to my work… so what better way than to come here for a birthday lunch? It was pretty crowded for a weekday lunch, though for the VERY decent prices and the generous amount you’re getting, I don’t blame ‘em! I was impressed with the types of fish they had(who has squid AND octopus??) and their toppings were good without being overwhelming when all was mixed and ready. At first, I was slightly disappointed that they really only had one type of sauce(compared to Pokestuf), but their sauce was actually very tasty – light, yet fragrant and well seasoned. Everything went very well together and I was pleasantly full and satisfied after. There aren’t too many cons about this location, though it was rather warm and stuffy inside, which made me question the freshness/quality of their raw foods(I have no tummy ache though, so I guess it was ok?) Also, I feel like the freshness of the fish from other locations are better(at least for salmon), but was still okay. Will I be coming back? Heck yes I will! And bringing the bf with me to try and give me his opinion as well :) This is a great, convenient location to grab a bite when the poke craving hits!

I came to Pokiholic for lunch today not expecting too much because from their photos I saw that the fish was not pre-marinated, but I was pleasantly surprised by how generous they were with their fish portions and also how flavorful and decently priced their poke bowls were! You can choose from 2 cups(7.99), 3 cups(8.99), or 5 cups of fish(10.99) I tried the Salmon, Yellowtail and Spicy Tuna — the fish was really fresh and the sushi rice complemented the poke perfectly. It comes with any toppings that you like: avocado, imitation crab meat, seaweed salad, cucumber slices, onion slices, masago, ginger, wasabi and a few more. I’ll definitely be coming back more often during my lunch.

Pokiholic is great! I would definitely come here again if given the opportunity. The way Pokiholic works is similar to a Chipotle style where you choose the number of scoops you want(of fish), type of rice, toppings, and then off you go. You cannot really go wrong with the choices, but I am a sucker for spicy tuna! Getting all of the toppings is also a nice touch too! Overall, the experience at Pokiholic is simple. The interior of the restaurant is not set up super fancy, but for the price and the quality of the food, it is mighty delicious and highly recommended in Monterey Park!

Super delighted that there is finally a poke place in my neck of the woods. 1. Conveniently located in MPK. 2. Pricing is super reasonable. 3. Portions are more than enough for my appetite. Cons: One of my fish choices tasted kind of fishy which was an utter disappoint. Final Verdict: I don’t think the con would deter me from returning.

ANOTHER build your own poke bowl spot that’s just as good as the rest but the unique thing about Pokiholic is that they offer cilantro, and i LOVE cilantro the worker was really nice & when my friend asked for extra avocado! i asked for extra cucumbers and the guy in front of me asked for extra seaweed salad, the worker did it all with a smile(no charge) each poke bowl also comes with a scoop of imitation crab —3 scoops of fish over greens: i got 2 scoops of salmon and 1 scoop of yellow tail, the yellow tail was really good! unfortunately«spicy» doesn’t give you that much heat & the wasabi is pretty weak too NOTE: self serve water

Being the poke connoisseur that I am, I HAVE to check out every single poke restaurant that opens up.(Well within my willingness to drive to range) Pokiholic is close to my house and I can stop by on my way home from work! I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing because I will be spending all my money on poke… I mean I kind of already do. Usually I don’t eat alone at restaurants, but when it comes to poke… I gotta do what I gotta do and if it means eating alone… Hahaha(I’ve eaten here alone like 3 times already LOL). What really stands out about this place compared to other place is their sauce! They don’t have 100 different sauces to choose from like some other places(which could be overwhelming). They have a generic sauce that they use for everyone’s bowls and then they just ask if you want spicy or not. So simple!!! And it’s bomb! You can also put some spicy mayo on there(this is hella bomb too). I usually get it on the side because I like to put it on my poke while I’m eating it haha. The fish is really fresh too. So far, I’ve tried salmon, ahi tuna, octopus and scallops. Probably my favorites right now are the ahi and the scallops. Love everything that they put on top. It’s not too much, but not too less either. Some poke places put way too much crap on top! It’s like not even a poke bowl anymore! Haha. Pokiholic is definitely on the top of my list. Yay poke in MPK!

Another poke place, this one in Monterey Park near east LA. This used to be a mongolian bbq place as the grill is still there as soon as you walk in(with a sign that says no more mongolian bbq). They offer 2, 3 and 5 scoops of fish. Base choices include white rice, brown rice, salad, or nachos. Fish options include salmon, tuna, yellowtail, albacore, spicy tuna, scallops, shrimp and tofu. For sauce, you get a choice of not spicy, mild, or spicy. It must be a proprietary recipe as they squirt in a combination of different sauces to give you your choice of spiciness in the sauce. And then there are toppings to choose: krabmeat, avocado, seaweed salad, onions, jalapeño, cilantro, ginger, wasabi, spicy mayo. The fish quality is pretty good. The size of the bowls are decent for the reasonable prices. The sauce flavor is pretty good too. Overall, not bad for a quick bite. The place has plenty of seating so you can definitely sit and enjoy the meal. Parking: Huge parking lot shared with the strip mall.

There is one poke place in Monterey Park? I was super excited when I knew the opening of Pokiholic. Came here for a dinner on weekday. This place is right next to Daiso. Compared with the crowd in other restaurants, this place does not have many customers and people mostly do takeout here(I don’t even know if poke will taste fresh with takeout). Anyway, just like other poke place, you get to choose which fish, which toppings, rice, nachos or salad and which dressing you want. Unfortunately, they only have one dressing which is spicy mayo. I wish there are more dressing options like wasabi aioli or ponzu. I choose spicy level and all the toppings except cucumber. The flavor was okay since I am not a big fan of spicy mayo. I still prefer Spinfish better. The portion was small you if you are hungry, order the 5 scoop. I dont know for some reason, half way of eating, my stomach start hurting so bad and I had to go home immediately. I am not sure if its the fish or other things. I think I will still stick with Spinfish for now.
