Slow and disorganized. But isn’t this true for most Starbucks these days? I really wish there was a really good, independent coffee shop in downtown Montclair. Update! Duh! I found it, the independent coffee shop I was looking for. On Walnut in Montclair, Red Eye and it’s awesome

That was the worst wait ever. I get that it is Sunday, but one barista working on the shift doesn’t make sense to me for a store that size on Holiday season. It took me over 20min for a drink to come out!

I love this Starbucks. Not only do they know your name, your drink, but whatever’s going on, however busy they are, you never get a bad attitude. It’s very well-managed, the staff all gets along, frankly I put several other Starbucks to shame. Folks here are genuinely nice. It is not an easy location, it’s difficult to park, kids come from school, it’s swamped from churches on weekends, yet somehow they make it all work and I go out of my way to come to this particular store.

I know it’s early in the morning but really there’s no need to be rude. Say good morning when someone says Good Morning … It’s your job to provide a service don’t make a customer feel like they are imposing on you and stay off your damn phone

It has a prime location. That’s why I come here(also because I have a friend who sits there for hours and like their coffee). Their stuff is friendly but slow. Bathrooms are dirty and the place is full of homeless(or homeless looking people) with suitcases and boxes sitting there every time I come. There is a talkative friendly-over-the-top-level older gentleman, neurotic skinny man running out to smoke the same cigarette butt every 10 minutes, ninja guy, crazy lady. That doesn’t Appeal to sit and work on computer here.

Very conveniently located, few minutes walk through a colorful part of Montclair. It’s spacious and shows of friendly vibe. The concept of free wifi brings people of all walks of life together amidst calming and rejuvenating coffee aromas. The music is just right. It’s our first time at this location, and certainly will not be our last. It’s not crowded, the staff are patient and there’s nothing to disrupt us from enjoying this Sunday morning coffee. We added some cinnamon to our cappuccinos– might be unconventional, but it combines taste with comforting aroma, and that’s pulsation for an early morning start. This location attracts young and old, curios coffee drinkers and the mediocre coffee enthusiasts, all welcomed here to diversity yearning to taste some good caffeine. We will be back. Love, Dennis&Lilian

I literally heard a high school girl say«My parents are taking me to France again this year *ugh*. Literally not even Paris, just south of France.» After I ran to the bathroom and stemmed the flow of blood from my ears I returned to the line and ordered Three stars. Frequently not enough room due to bougie clientele who occupy seats too long. But then you also have the occasional gem of a barista who can actually make you a drink the right way. But they also tend to run out of dark roast.

Slowest. Starbucks. Ever!!! 6 people behind counter, 6 people in line. I waited ten mins in line and finally walked out. I go to Starbucks all over frequently and this one is exceptional… ly slow.

I don’t drink coffee that often. In middle school i thought i never would, but my friends would drag me here. One day in 7th grade I decided to order something from there. This is how George was born. My father often lets it be known that he dislikes giving out personal information. So when they asked for my name my first instinct was to make up a name: «George, George Mcclay». Every time I have gone to any starbucks in montclair or any other establishment that asks a name for an order my name is George. I became obsessed with George: what was he like? How did he act? What’s his love life like? What does he order in his coffee? George lives in Canada, his family is from Washington, Oregon. He’s quite, but a maniac on the dance floor. He reads classic literature, he rolls his own cigars, he has few people close to him, he has not killed a man. Recently I bought a passport and other identification for George. I plan on getting facial reconstruction so that George can look like George. I plan to move to Canada as soon as people catch on. George ordered a chai tea latte. George liked it. But he thought the noisy atmosphere didn’t suit him. 4 stars.

The store it self is always clean. The baristas are attentive. I’ve never been disappointed. Plus, everyone is respectable and it is a joy to go to.

I flip flop between two different Starbucks. On my way to work, I like to visit the Starbucks in Glen Ridge because it has a parking lot and it’s on my way to work. By no means am I taking away from their absolutely fantabulous service. Shout out to Martha and all the other great employees. When I’m home on relax mood and I need a walk or coffee or passion tea for that matter, I come to this location. I also love the staff here as well and the variety of people that come in. They seem very interesting, I’m one of those people who often sit and ponder regarding the lives of others. Just simply wondering what’s the story behind him or her. Many may just call it nosey, I call it curiosity!!! :)

Always seems to be busy, and it feels like the only times I can get a table is during early morning hours. The baristas are friendly, but they’re very laid-back and are not fast workers.

The employee was rude to the senior citizen in front of me and then tried to give my mom attitude. Ya, no. So my delicious caramel macchiato probably has something nasty in it. Regardless, the drinks are good, but I’m pretty sure they never clean their bathrooms.

Literally the WORST Starbucks I have EVER been to & I’ve been to a lot(trust me I’m not proud of it)! I live right around the corner and I can honestly say that I would rather go out of my way than ever go into this idiot wonderland again. I’ve been coming here for years(for the convenience factor alone) but when you can’t even make an iced drink ICED I have to draw the line.

Really slow service. Only one person making drinks. Waited 15 minutes once for a drink. Not worth it for a coffee and at a chain coffee place. Definitely a lot of business at this Starbucks so it deserves more staff to meet the demand

Ok. So, yes the location is perfect and if you just want regular coffee or something simple it’s fine. When you start getting into the Grande Skim Vanilla Latte No foam with Whip and Chocolate drizzle type of deal, do not expect to have a coffgasm. I’ve never had a great multi-word hot beverage here, sorry to say. If I want one, I drive down the street to the one in Glen Ridge/Bloomfield or uptown to the one on Valley Road… or just go to a local spot. It’s always super crowded too, with really studious people on laptops that don’t move for hours.

This place is perfectly located and totally addicting. They’re fast and polite and remember you by order. They make recommendations base on your history. The merch is extensive. Many of which is on clearance. Everyone seems happy to be here. Furthermore the outdoor seating is so welcome in the summer. The view of downtown montclair is relaxing. They even have water bowls and treats for dogs. Go here if you are addicted to Starbucks, enjoy sweet pastries and your dog is as fancy as you!

3.5 Your usual Starbucks. The upside is that the people behind the counter are really nice, the downside is that even on a weekday in the afternoon, this place is busy. Full of stay at home moms and not enough people behind the counter. Mornings in and out time for me was roughly 8 — 10 minutes.

Pretty standard Starbucks in terms of quality, speed and attitude of service and product choice. Parking can be a HUGE challenge as there are precious few street spots and an over abundance of local shops and restaurants. There is a nearby garage, but who really wants to deal with that headache when an in/out for a cup of coffee is supposed to be quick? Inevitably, they put the local coffee shop – the average at best, mom and pop Beans, out of business. Sad, but not a shock. IMO, nearby Raymond’s has stepped it up in recent years and is producing a better cup of coffee, without all of the bells/whistles/variety. However, A Starbucks coffee is better than Manny’s Diner, Leone’s, Petit Paris, etc.

Not a lover of Starbucks coffee, but it’s very local to me. Nice walk into town to grab a cuppa joe. This one is strictly take out only… With this Starbucks, they get hoards of folks who are just dying to sit in or outside a Starbucks without actually ordering any of their goods. They all bring their ipads and laptops in order to suck the life out of the free wifi. In 2 years, I’ve never once ordered a cup of coffee and found a place to sit. eh
