Came yesterday for a birthday body scrub and massage. It was amazing. I got the body scrub first then rinsed off my skin felt like baby’s skin then went into a 60 min massage which was very relaxing. The oils smelled like peppermint which added to the relaxing factor of the whole massage. The staff was very nice the bathrooms were clean. It was just an overall relaxing experience. I am absolutely going to comeback and soon hopefully.

Got my first facial and Kate was amazing! She definitely knows her stuff and explained what would be best for my skin and what caused what breakouts. Not to mention the entire place is beautiful, clean, and relaxing! Thank you Spatique! I will be back for sure :)

Welp this place is indeed worth trying, keeping, and you’ll love every single minute. Beautiful ambiance, squeaky clean bathroom, massage room etc and elegant décor. You walk in and it even smells nice. My massage therapist is Liz and she is AMAZING. I love the massage room, the massage table, the candles, the steam shower! They even wash your feet before massaging you too. I felt like royalty and so will you! Try it and I promise you won’t regret it. You’ll thank me. :-) They have a nail salon and pedicure station as well. You wouldn’t know this just walking in but when you do you won’t want to leave!!!

I’ve been to many Spas for massages and I must say none compare to a massage by TRACY. She is the best. She listens to your needs/wants when it comes to your massage. The first time I went to her for a 60 minute deep tissue and it wasn’t enough! Last night I upgraded to a 90 minute deep tissue & still feel amazing. I suffer from low lumbar back problems and I feel rejuvenated. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking an excellent massage. Thank you Tracy!

I’ve been seeing Kate for facials for over a year now. I have problem skin(always have) and it has definitely improved since I started going here. She does microdermabrasion and high frequency treatments and I always leave with my skin feeling MUCH smoother and clearer than it was than when I walked in. The oatmeal mask that she ends my facial with takes away all of the redness(I have very sensitive skin) and I leave with a fresh face every time. She also gives me tips for how to take care of my skin on my own time which has been super helpful as well. If you have problem skin like me or even if your skin just needs a pick-me-up I highly suggest going to Spatique and asking for Kate — she will know exactly what your skin needs to be at its best!

If anyone is looking for a phenomenal facial and great advice about which product to use on your face, KATE at Spatique is the person to go to! I got my first facial 3 weeks ago and my skin looks and feels so much better, I’m completely hooked! She asked me questions about my skin and gave me suggestions on how to take better care of it. Kate is so sweet and passionate about her job, you can tell by the way she works. I highly recommend to try her services, you will be hooked just like I am! AWESOME job Kate!

I never write reviews so you know I love this place! First let me start with the fact that the staff here is so friendly and professional. They warmly welcome you as soon as you walk through the door. From there you get walked to the locker room where a robe is waiting in the locker for you. Then comes the relaxation room which is very comfortable and has the most delicious tea from cha ma gu dao … A local business. And then, the best part… The services! The therapists are very skilled and have experience under their belts(which is a plus of course). I always feel like they take their time and really are in depth with everything they do. Overall I have not had a bad experience here and have recommended the spa to many of my friends. Constantly looking forward to my next visit.

I recently visited the spa for part of my buddy’s bachelor party weekend and I was extremely impressed by the event coordinator, Elicia. She was professional, patient, and went over the top to ensure we had a wonderful experience. Parking was convenient since there is a parking garage around the corner and the spa honors the tickets. A few weeks ago my daughter also attended a friend’s birthday party held at the spa and enjoyed it so much we are planning her next birthday there this coming winter! They also sell these organic soy candles my wife has purchased before and they are out of this world. The scent is incredible. I’ve tried other spas in Montclair in the past but I highly recommend Spatique. Now that I’ve personally tried it out I will be signing myself and the wife up for their membership program for discounted prices on future services.

She is very friendly and courteous. I am sure he too will be very pleased with the quality of service. I remember the Grand Opening of this establishment as Sahana Spa. finally a true Day Spa, with a beautiful environment, professional technicians(reflecting the diversity of the Montclair area), and welcoming front desk receptionists, right on Bloomfield Ave, where a plethora of nail salons exist. I got to know both the owner and many members of the staff, and maintained standing appointments for years; until a medical issue caused me to stop for a while. However, when I was able to resume I was welcomed back as an old friend(even when I was not able to come, I received phone calls from both the owner and members of the staff calling to say«Hello, and Get Well»). I was saddened to learn that the previous owner encountered financial issues causing her to sell. While some of the staff have remained, the policies of the new owners, which indicate that the«dollar is the bottom line» has also caused me to leave. I am aware that this is a business, and a business needs to make a profit to be successful, but at what cost? Yes, the lobby has been redecorated… however, when I am receiving a service, and the front desk receptionist rudely interrupts the staff member to know how much longer my service will take, because another client has«somewhere else to go», right in front of me while I am sitting there, causing embarrassment for both the staff member and myself, I knew I could no longer support this establishment. In order for any business to survive,(especially the competitive«spa» business) customer service has to be the number one priority, along with a competent professional staff, and of course reasonable prices… sadly, this does not seem to be the case with this business. With Groupon and Living Social spa service vouchers readily available, trying out new places has been become very easy to do… I for one will be taking advantage of this and try to find another place to replace what used to be a most pleasant, professional experience.

I was a loyal, happy customer when this place was formerly Sahana Spa. I completely agree with the other commenter regarding the poor management under the new owners. I had purchased a package while it was still Sahana spa, and had just 2 facials left when the new owners took over. Michelle, one of the new owners, and possibly THE rudest and most unprofessional businesswomen I’ve ever had to speak to, refused to honor the remainder of my package. I said to her, «That’s it? No ‘sorry I wish there was something I could do’», to which she responded, «I don’t deal in feelings, at the end of the day, I have to run a business.» She also said that because the spa was under a different name now, that I’m asking them to do something illegal by honoring my package. Well then– in the 4 months that they had been under a new name– why hadn’t they changed the Sahana spa awning, telephone number, or even the décor of the place. Because while they won’t honor loyal Sahana clients GC’s and packages, they don’t want to lose them either by doing a complete overhaul. They’ve managed to keep the great staff however which the old owner(who was amazing) had spent years grooming and making this place a real escape for clients like me. I called the old owner, and she is very upset because the agreement was that the new owners would honor Sahana packages and G. C’s. She’s been getting emails/ph calls from old clients in the same boat as me, and is so disappointed Spatique(and I’m sorry, but that’s an awful name for a spa) is reneging on their promise. In a nutshell, this place is all about the bottom line– I miss the staff, but because it was apparently impossible for Michelle to honor 2 facials, she lost me as a client, but gained this sparkling review:)

This is the location and staff of the former Sahana Spa. The treatments and staff remain the same, and of very high quality. The waiting room has been updated with more comfortable furniture. Sadly, the new owner has done an extremely poor job of transitioning in terms of web page, marketing, spa menu, etc. Long time customers don’t know how to contact the spa as there is no linkage to be found on the internet. If you make it to the shop and buy a gift certificate, the wrong phone number is printed on the front when you try to call and schedule your service. Time for the new owner to step it up before the old clientele give up and take their business elsewhere! I am a fan of the staff and the work they do, feel sorry for the mess the new owner has made.
