The only store I go to! The staff is always friendly and helpful. They have a good selection of wines and offer monthly specials that are always enjoyable! I recently placed an order for a large party and they made the ordering easy… and delivered the order! Great store!

Decent selection of wines and spirits. Stocks plenty of Japanese beers and sake to BYOB next door at Toro. Has some interesting producers in from time to time to do tastings. Prices are reasonable on most items.

I have purchased a lot of great wine and unusual beers here over the past number of years and I always enjoy going back. I didn’t know much about wine in general but the owner, John, and his staff have taught me enough to know what’s what making the experience much more enjoyable. Great selections in reds, whites and almost anything else you may be looking for. It’s also a lot of fun trying the great variety of beer and ales. Many different Vodkas. I found my new favorite right here. Double XX.(Double Cross). Sake, Tequila you name it. These folks are very knowledge and most helpful. John is a walking encyclopedia of all types of wine and he’s really personable and loves to share his passion for and knowledge of wine with everyone. The store is a 10 minute ride from my home so it’s perfect for when we’re entertaining and need a few good, well priced bottles and this is our only go to wine shop for big family and holiday events. Just a terrific neighborhood wine shop.(For you commuters, the shop is just across the street from the train station). You will be very pleased with the Magnolia’s experience.

3.75 It’s not the best liquor store in town but the staff is very friendly, and everything in the shop is kept in an orderly fashion. My boyfriend and I find ourselves coming here a lot now because we recently found out that they carried Kingston family wine from Casablanca Valley; one of the wineries we had visited in Chile. My only issue with them is that they aren’t visually informative. You are kind of forced to ask them questions on where certain things are kept. Region or type of grape sections are not marked off, nor do 90 percent of the wines have flavor descriptions or why they’re «featured» or in stock in the store. I like reading that stuff.

My experience was similar to Mary W’s review. I was the only customer and the two young women behind the counter were talking and had no interest. There is no information or ratings on the wines, and it would have been nice to have some guidance. I left and won’t go back. I like to support local merchants whenever possible but will continue to buy wines at Stew Leonard’s, where they’re always happy to answer questions and offer suggestions.

This place has become a bit of a staple for us for parties or other gatherings. I’ve purchased a good amount, all of it’s been good. They also offer the discount on cases or higher. A good deal.

Our real estate agent gave us a bottle of wine and a wine holder/cooler from here when we first moved in. She’s pretty chic and classy, so I looked forward to stopping in here and checking out her choice of wine merchant.(Admittedly, I also wanted to see the price point of the bottle she gave us.) Magnolia’s is in the perfect location for people who want a one-stop shopping for parties since Tallmadge is next door. It’s a great little shop with lots of wines in a wide variety of prices and values. I have stopped in to and bought from a few tastings, and it’s always a very casual, relaxed atmosphere — conducive to buying. I also like their little seating area in the front. It’s the only wine store I’ll bring my kids since I can leave them there while I pick up a four-pack of reds and whites.
