I love the falafel here. They make their bread fresh and it really holds up nicely which is one of the problems at some of the other falafel places in Montclair. Just saying!!!

AMAZINGFOOD!!! If it weren’t for Unilocal,I wouldn’t have found this delicious place! The owner is even more amazing! We catered from here, and it sure did not disappoint in the quality and quantity! My entire family enjoyed everything. FYI, their lamb has to be the best I have tasted!!! Perfectly grilled and SO moist! Aside from the catering, we also ordered food from their menu, and that too did not disappoint! This is a must go to place if you are craving homemade, good Middle Eastern food. My new go to spot for lamb :)

Very good food! Best baba ganush! But don’t eat in there. It’s freezing. My friends and I were wearing gloves and hats for the fourth time. I don’t think don’t put on the heat!

The meal was so delicious! Next time I’ll get the fries instead of the rice. The chicken kabob was tasty and the beef kabob tender. Nice staff and place was warm!

Awesome food. I had the falafel in a pita, very filling. The price was very reasonable. There’s something for everyone, even for my very picky daughter.

Tasty with good portions is what I’m all about and that’s what I got here, I had the Sha-nay-nay which got me some points with the guy at the counter for getting the reference and it was good too. Lots of fresh cucumber and tomato bits with chicken slices with a nice grilled flavor and of course rice. The actual falafels are good too having tasted the falafel veggie platter, which is also loaded. The location has ok seating with ok parking so it’s not too much of an issue of you decide to dine in but if it’s crowded take out may be better. Also the stock photography on the walk was kinda odd but other than that good food all around, would go back to try other retro pop cultured named dishes. I don’t see too many falafel places so it’s nice to know there is one here.

Great falafel here! Very flavorful and crispy. The hummus was also delicious. The service was good, however the photos and environment were not great. Could be a bit more nicely decorated. Otherwise I highly recommend this place for quick food at reasonable prices!

I order from here pretty regularly because it always so consistent. I have had several different items from their menu yet my favorites are the far teek platter which is lamb kabob with salad and rice/fries. I have tried many different hummas from different places and this is honestly the best it is so good. Overall I would recommend this place.

Usually the food is awesome. Inconsistency with quality of veggies though, so if you’re picky about the quality of tomatoes you eat(like me) just keep an eye out. I recommend their Labneh w/Pita. :-)

The taste of chicken inside the chicken shwarma sandwich is really good. It almost tasted like tandoori flavored grill chicken. They even have outside seating. It’s nice to sit outside and enjoy good tasting chicken.

The last time I was here I came a very picky 6-year-old who wanted nothing except a hotdog for lunch. The guy who served us a menu and came to take our good orders patiently sat down at the table next to us and not only made this grumpy 6-year-old smile & laugh, but got her to try a grilled cheese sandwich– which the thoroughly enjoyed! And my falafel sandwich was very fresh and tasty as usual. I don’t always find the guys at the counter to be particularly friendly or engaging so this really impressed me. Keep it up, falafel hut!

Some of the best home made falafel around. I always get a side order of it or get it stuffed in a pita covered with tahini sauce. They also have the best home made hummus I have ever eaten. Just about everything I get at this place is good. Parking in the front is difficult my suggestion is to park in the back.

I usually go for the cheap foods, the falafel or the gyro, but both are great and a cheap price. Service has always been fast. There isn’t much seating unfortunately and the website is really amateur, but the food is is tasty and messy.

My sister recommended this place, and I finally got the chance to check it out. I ordered the chicken shawarma with two pieces of falafel. They didn’t have a sandwich with this combination of chicken AND falafel on the menu but it didn’t seem to be a problem. However, there was an extra fee to add the falafel. From my experience, most other places would not have done so. The sandwich was delicious! I don’t typically like pickles but they really accented the sandwich well. Also instead of the more usual white onion, they used red onions which I thought was pretty tasty and complimented the sandwich. It was nice to see a departure from the typical white onion, lettuce and tomato! However, there wasn’t enough sauce for my liking(as well as my husband). Usually, I’m a complete mess after eating a sandwich like this, but not this time.(Which might be a good thing for others!) The restaurant is pretty tight but they make good use of their space. It also helps that they bring the food to you so the register area doesn’t get congested. They also have a dispenser with free water, but it quickly emptied and wasn’t refilled during my trip there. Parking in the area is pretty decent too. Overall, this is a good food option if you’re in the area but nothing to go out of your way for if you already have access to a good chicken and falafel sandwich.

I’ve been to this place numerous times and I have never been disappointed. So far, I’ve only got the Jerusalem platter. It’s hummus, baba ghanoush, tabbouleh, and falafel. All of it is delicious. I highly recommend that dish for the ultimate(vegetarian) Mediterranean experience. I have yet to try the chicken or other meats, but I will soon. Go try this place out. You get quality with the amount you pay.

Don’t know why it took me so long to come here — yum! Authentic Mediterranean food. Everything I ate was fresh, seasoned well, and filling. I got the Hut Sampler — tabouli, babaganoush, hummus, grape leaves, and some sort of delicious sauce for the falafel. The falafel were perfectly crispy and tasty. My friend got the chicken shawarma sandwich which I tasted and will definitely get next time! Fair prices too!!!

Heaven does exist and it is Falafel Hut. Ok, maybe not, but that is their slogan and you’ve got to appreciate a spot that loves itself enough to have a slogan like this. It’s a small place with a few tables and also a menu filled with some takeaway items. The food is fresh and made when you order it and it’s hot and tasty and the sandwich is big and inexpensive. It’s hard to hate any of these. Service is give or take, nothing amazing or awful. I ordered, they took my order, my money and gave me my food to go. Easy as that. All in all, a good time in heaven.

If you find yourself in Montclair and start getting the munchies, there is no need to fear as you need not pay an arm and a leg for a good meal. Falafel Hut may just be the answer to your rumbling belly. You won’t be getting a 5 star ambiance that you may be getting around Bloomfield Ave, but what you will get is service with a smile and a great bang for your buck. I ordered a platter which came with lamb, rice, salad, and a basket of warm pita which totaled roughly $ 10. It kept me full, satiated, and persuaded me to keep the Falafal Hut in mind for any future return trips to Montclair. Sit outside on a nice day, enjoy some fresh food, and watch the world go by.

Good cheap eats in Montclair. For $ 4.99, can’t go wrong with the Falafel sandwich, which is what they do best. The pita is packed with a generous amount of tasty falafel, fresh veggies, and tahini. The hummus is smooth and creamy and delicious as well, comes with warm pita bread. The atmosphere here is that of a deli with a few tables for dining in. Staff is friendly. It’s a good place to go for a quick lunch.

It’s been some time since I’ve eaten here and I just had the beef shawarma. Called ahead and picked it up. Must say it was just as delicious as the first time I had it. Lucky enough parking right in front for a quick jump out jump in and ran home to chow it down. As I was driving home, I found myself looking at the bag and being tempted to pull over and eat it lol but it was worth the wait.
