Conveniently located next to the brewery, my fiancé and I decided to stop in for a bite to eat. The lobster roll was incredibly fresh and the bun was perfectly toasted. Although the quality was great, the quantity left me wanting more. My lobster roll came with a dozen skinny french fries, which wasn’t nearly enough(given the $ 20+ price tag). The service was quick, seating was plentiful, and(from what I hear) the tacos were fantastic.

After my fiancé read some reviews we decided to order some lunch while having some beer next door at Montauk Brewing Company. The reviews said the wait could be atrocious, but we were there at about 12:30 on a Saturday and our food was out in just a few minutes. Couldn’t complain at all about that service. I had the fish tacos which were AMAZING with the slaw on top. The basket came with just a small handful of chips, but that was fine as the tacos were more than filling. My fiancé had the lobster roll which she said tasted very fresh and was delicious. Only complaint is that the menu is pricey. The lobster roll isn’t huge but still cost $ 22. Overall, great spot to grab a bite while at the brewery. If they’re busy, then just go have another beer while you wait — it’s worth it!

Would not recommend lobster rolls here. The buns were straight from the packaging and unbuttered. The lobster was unflavored and plain. It was literally pieces of lobster and the bun only. No seasoning at all. It was also more expensive than the superior lobster rolls from Red Hook Lobster Pound Montauk. At least it was next to Montauk Brewing Co to wash down a truly disappointing lobster roll. Go to Red Hook Lobster Pound instead.

Was in Montauk on the Thursday before the start of the Memorial Day weekend. Really felt like the calm before the storm. Stopped into St. Peter’s Catch looking for seafood and not wanting to spend a fortune for lunch. While the lunch menu was not as extensive as the printed menu, the fish and chips at $ 8.95 seemed like a bargain considering everything else being offered around town. I was the only one in the place when I ordered. A guy in a pickup came in behind me and ordered the same thing. Then the wife asked me to get her the shrimp cocktail which — while not cheap at $ 14 — provided the meatiest shrimp either of us have ever had. Clearly fresh. Not waterlogged like so many others. I have no idea how things are when the town is full of beach goers and party maniacs, but on a quiet Thursday in Montauk, St. Peter’s Catch turned out to be just the right call for me.

We went to St Peter’s Catch for a late lunch. It’s the kind of place where you order inside and then seat yourself. We got the fish tacos which were about 14.95, and the fish and chips which were 8.95. I think that the fish tacos were some of the best I have ever had! The slaw on them was perfect and there was a light drizzle of a spicy sauce which completed the dish. I would definitely come here again! Also, Montauk Brewing Co is right next door so we got a couple of beers to go with our meal. A perfect combination for such a beautiful day.

Best place in town, the fish tacos and chowder are to die for 10⁄10! The view is pretty sweet too :)

The fish and chips were $ 6.95 and probably the freshest and tastiest I’ve had on the East End and the owner had the most down-to-earth personality too, unlike many Hamptons’ purveyors.

Tucked away from the beach next to the Montauk Brewing Company, is St. Peter’s Catch. This well curated fish market and fry bar has well seasoned and well prepared take out meals. They have picnic tables with umbrellas in their ‘front yard.’

So looking forward to trying this place out but like the mixed reviews, its a 50⁄50 chance you’ll have a better experience elsewhere. For starters the menu is short, not much to choose from between fresh or fried seafood/poultry(ie chicken tenders). That should’ve been my first sign that I shouldn’t have the greatest expectations… Anyway we ordered the fish taco and traditional lobster roll. The fish tacos were good but not as good as I’ve had at other restaurants in the area(ie El Vaquero). And the lobster roll wasn’t anything to brag about either. Both might have been better with a pint of Montauk Brewery’s beer — next door — but we foolishly did not. The staff was okay, the owner or manager was attentive asking if we enjoyed the meal. However, the rest are a collection of immigrants and blue collar folks wearing the biggest frowns like their having the worst day. They also have a fish market to buy fresh fish, condiments and other household or touristy items but for me, I wouldn’t go out of my way to make a special stop here.

Quaint seafood restaurant next to Montauk Brewing Company. Great place for large groups to order and sit out at picnic tables or around the fire pit at night. Although many of us came here for the lobster rolls, it was the spicy fish tacos that stole the show – a little discovery we made thanks to Unilocal! The tacos were not currently on the menu for the weekend but the staff was super accommodating and we were not disappointed.

Taste okay, yet too tiny roll. French fries tasted so bad with using unhealthy oil…

This place is a must for any one in montalk. So many still never heard of it. The best place for lunch, fish toccos, are awesome, lobster roll is great too. If you want lunch this is the place to go to. We eat here every time we are in town.

Great food and excellent service! The fish and chips were good. Their clam chowder was some of the best I’ve ever had! Staff was very friendly. The owner even let us borrow an umbrella for the day to use at the beach. Overall a very nice experience and I’ll definitely be coming back here the next time I’m in Montauk!

On the pricier side, but it’s so good and fresh. Try the lunch special for a better value — the lobster combo. Ask about what is fresh and they’ll tell you. I had the shrimp tacos this trip and the shrimp is fried first but the batter is so light, airy, and crispy but not greasy. It’s topped w/crispy and generous amounts of coleslaw and a slightly spicy sauce — ask for it i on the side if you’re sensitive to spice. You have to get the fish dip. It’s incredible. $ 12.99 for a small container. It’s full of fish and it’s smoky and not fishy. You can ask to taste it. It’s just so good. The owner, Gene is always very nice to us. It’s a great outdoor space to sit and relax and off of main street so quieter. Get a pint from next door and enjoy.

I think this place is really lovely. We went there for dinner on a Saturday night and I loved the feel of sitting outside on a picnic table to eat. There is no indoor area to eat(that I saw), you order from the counter and then they will bring the food out to your picnic table. I don’t eat fish, so I got Chicken Tenders & Chips and they were both great. I really enjoyed the french fries. If you’re looking for seafood and don’t want to be dressed up fancy or go over in a bathing suit, then this is definitely the place to go. Be aware that they are cash only.

The fish and chips are oily and bland and the shrimp tacos are overpriced and bland. This place is nothing speical. The people working there are nice, the parking situation is great, and you can hang out there for hours without being bothered. The seafood is fresh, but the preperation could have used a little bit more work.

Tiny portions for the price. The fish & chips came with one piece of fish & small amount of fries. The lobster roll was TINY for $ 20. Taste is good but not worth the cost. When we brought the small portion/cost to the managers attention, his response was«well you don’t have to eat it». Terrible customer service from him. Even the in-store staff said many customers are complaining about the cost for what is served. It’s Montauk so we expect higher prices but definitely not this extreme.

I was really split right down the middle over this place. For example, Tony absolutely loved the lobster roll. However, I had the fish tacos and they were, in my humble opinion over-powered by a mayonnaise-tasting slaw. Similarly, the fries(chips) were just okay… but the roasted potatoes that came w/the lobster roll were out of this world. So, for me, with every winner there was a loser here… but perhaps it’s just a preference thing. Note that I really like the way this restaurant is set up w/counter service and picnic table outdoor seating. I’m not sure how this works out in the winter… but maybe it’s more of a take away place during those months. So would I give this place another try? Well, first, let me preface my answer by saying that, while I love lobster, lobster rolls are typically just not my thing. But, the real answer is, sure I’d go back… but only if Tony really wanted to. With all of that said, this place is known for lobster rolls… so if you love a good lobster roll, then I suspect you won’t be let down.

It was our first night in Montauk and we needed lobster rolls. Needed. So we pulled up the trusty Unilocal app and discovered St. Peter’s Catch. This place does not have any indoor seating but has plenty of outdoor picnic tables. It is more of a fish market, rather than a restaurant, but they do offer all sorts of lunch options. Drink selections are limited. Their lobster roll is very good and NOT covered in mayo(which is always appreciated). They also include potatoes with your roll and we ordered a side of fries, which were decent. Service is friendly and everything is relatively cheap. They’re also next door to Montauk Brewing company so you can get a flight and eat some fish. I wish I lived closer so I could pick up some fresh fish and cook it sometime.
