Do not hire John Cameron! He is a thief! We hired John in June 2014 for extensive landscaping, irrigation repairs and additions, construction of a stone wall and lighting. John disappeared from our job in early August 2014 after we gave him a second payment of $ 4,250. We had multiple leaks throughout the irrigation hoses he installed with water«geysers» spraying all over the yard causing numerous plants and our grass to die. He left 3 unfinished flower bed areas, a pile of rocks in our driveway for a stone wall and exposed wires for the irrigation lying out above the ground. He never returned numerous phone calls made to him through the end of September. The NC Irrigation Control Board inspected our property after John received 2 Irrigation violations for $ 2,000 each. They were disgusted by what they uncovered on our property. We filed a case with the Union County Magistrate small claims court in November and John Cameron never appeared at the court date of December 23rd, 2014. We won the judgment of $ 4,027 January 6, 2015. I can’t give less than 1 star on this review. John Cameron of Valley View Landscaping gets an «F». He appears to be a passive, honest person but has a proven track record of taking the money and not completing the job!

We had horrible drainage & erosion issues on the left side of our home. We met with 6 different contractors, and John was by far the best! He arrived with references and was professional throughout the entire process(offering his professional advice as well as working through any pickiness that we presented on our end). Just today, he finished burying our downspouts and installing a dry creek bed. We were extremely pleased and would hire him again!

The owner of this business is John Cameron. We recently hired him to do landscaping and build an outdoor kitchen. He left before the project was complete, taking our money with him. We estimate that he owes us $ 5000. We had paid him to deliver and install a wide variety of plants, as well as all the equipment to be installed into the outdoor kitchen. He left our backyard in a total state of disarray — dug up, with mud and debris everywhere. And of course the outdoor kitchen is an unfinished, empty shell. We cannot reach John by phone or email. DONOTHIREHIM. He is basically a thief and apparently we will need to sue him to try to regain our funds.
