Weird! I called ahead of time to be sure it was kid friendly. She said«absolutely». Well, no! When we showed up with our 4 kids everyone stared at us like we were from another planet. After sitting and looking at the menu, we had to leave. There was no kids menu and nothing«normal«to eat. Steaks, ribs, fish… It wasn’t pub food at all or kid friendly. I understand not wanting children in a restaurant that is not equipped for children, that is why I called first! so when we showed up with our kids it was their fault not ours! Super annoying.

I’m generously awarding 3 stars here. The short version is that they were totally packed with one bartender/server for the entire bar. We loved the nut brown and felt the several other beers we tried were just ok. My «baked cheese fries» were on the soggy/cold side and the cheese wasn’t melted. All and all, a disappointing experience. After hiking along highway 2 we were looking for a great beer and some tasty grub. We thought it’d be fun to try out the local brewpub. I was a little dissapointed with the menu… which is definitely more up-scale than pubby. The one vegetarian offering is a mac & cheese dish. I opted to make the best of it with a salad and baked cheese fries. The salad was only slightly less disappointing than the fries. I’d say our experience was more in line with 1 – 2 stars. The bartender was really nice and apologetic. They were unexpectedly totally slammed. And, I get it– which is why they get 3 stars instead of the 1. I’d give this one another shot.

While waiting for Adams Bistro next door to open, I came in here for a pint and to kill some time. The atmosphere was quaint, and about what I would expect from a tap house. They brew their own beer, and the 4 main beers on tap are their own, with two guest taps. I got a sampler, tasting the NW Pale, Blonde, Heff, and Nut Brown ale. All were decent, with the Nut Brown being the best but I ultimately settled on a pint of the quest beer.(Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout on nitro). They have live music, and the bartender was also one of the brewers so it was cool getting to chat about that while he served us. I’d come back if I were in the area, but I’d probably not make it my primary destination. I mainly gave it a 4⁄5 for it’s atmosphere and enjoyable staff.
